  • The DOL has paid increasing attention to worker classification under the Biden Administration. On January 10, 2024, the DOL announced a final rule (the "IC Rule") on worker-employer classification status under the Fair Labor Standards Act, making classification of independent contractors more difficult. Prior to the March 11, 2024, effective date, businesses are encouraged to take heed and prepare for more workers being classified as employees. This includes understanding the potential for competing definitions under other federal agencies to have significant impacts on employee benefits and business operations. This webinar will explore the practical and legal impacts of the IC Rule and how businesses can better prepare for the upcoming changes.
