Alfie is one of my top favorites. The chord progressions are c.f. implicated. Only to make it magical and different. Best played/performed slow time. This is a beautiful and great rendition by this guitarist.
Lots of thoughts listening to this. First, it's acoustic. I naturally think of Andres Segovia. Yeah, you're that good. Second, it's played in a way that makes me introspective. I was around when this first came out. Dionne Warwick made it then. But this is a quiet, stripped down version that demands you listen. The elegant chord changes, tempo and slight echo draw you in. I need a longer version, Chris.
