4 months well spent - the song has so many qualities but you have found the perfect dynamic range of the various movements and musical elements. Maybe the high point of UK popular music.

Chris, if I can call you that, as I delve deeper and deeper into these songs I'm just ... I can't think of the verb to express how much this is shocking me! I was sitting here listening and watching ... and I thought "where the hell did he get these aragmenements????" Then I read the note: "This was arranged by myself." So, I'm definitely impressed by your playing but your ear and your ability to configure these songs to be played so fully and richly as solo performances is just taking my esteem to a whole other level. "getting over overhanging trees..." I remember the first time I listened to this song, I was driving in winter and crested a hill in my Jeep as the sun was starting to set ... and the sky and the light refracting through the ice. It's just LOCKED that sound/song and moment into my brain. and THIS is bringing me back to it. I wish I still had the Jeep! I wish I still had hills covered in snow and Ice! Oh for "the evil of a snowflake in June!" (or the desert!) translation into simpler terms: you sir are awesome!

I'm biased - this is my absolute favorite Yes song. It is the epitome of what they are capable of as individuals and as a band. It is the moment where each of them 'set their mark' as it were on popular music in the 70's... I just LOVE this song. And you did it so well! What an emotional performance! I loved it. Thank you again. ... I'm sure this is a weird relationship to have with your fan-base: people discovering your works years (12 +) after you make them... and then seemingly going back and consuming it in large doses over short spans of time. That fact not withstanding I'm absolutely floored by these songs ... and I'm trying to digest as much as I can of the YES works before I get to your Genesis vids! ... I'll apologize for loitering in your comments section for the next little while! ;)

Let me first say something about your playing: absolutely stunning! Emotional and evocative of not just the 'mood' the song is trying to create; it evokes the moment that I first heard SH play the song! I don't need to tell you you're a phenomenal player - you already know that (I hope!) Now let me say something about being OLD. I hate it for a lot of reasons... all the cliche ones of course. But another reason I don't like being THIS age at THIS TIME is that if we had the phenomenal resources to research and listen to the deepest parts of a band or a single artist's catalog and just swim and swim and swim in all of it as it is being made. I didn't hear this song until "Not Necessarily Acoustic" at which point I was like "whooooooaaaaa - that's gorgeous!" And then even today, being the age I am IN THIS AGE, I had to wait what appears to be 10 years for the algorithm to take me to this song for the first time. I feel like I wasted 10 years of opportunities to watch, listen and enjoy. THANK YOU for sharing this... now I'm going to dig into your channel and see what other treasures I can find!

I remember learning this song in my youth on acoustic guitar........And I still listen to it today......... Curious how do you manage keeping the timing for the song?
