The furniture may be 'dated' as some people have commented but I can tell it was put together with love and care over the years. The furniture is of a high quality. No ordinary individual could kit out the house in the way it has been done. It's very expensive getting good furnishing especially for a house this size. Personally, I wouldn't want a home this big, too much maintenance work 😂
The furniture is elegant. Good quality as you stated.I dont buy the modern glitzy plastic stuff.These wood peices are what I go for.The couches are very ugly though.
The furniture is NOT though. That is how Jamaican furnitures are. Most are hand made and considered to be elegant, so of course it would be different from the American designs.

Dove Cot. The largest cemetery is close by. Bus load of mourners are in the area on Sunday, wailing and carrying on like mad people. You don't want to be home on a burial day. The roads on each street are very bad. It's an old neighborhood that's over populated. You have to pass through an area with some zinc up fence to get there.
@@scottanno8861 you are correct. The neighborhood at the bottom of these neighborhoods is undesirable. The roads in the neighborhood are not maintained. Plus Dove Cot is nearby.

Nothing is wrong with the house very beautiful house, all of you who are finding faults if you get it for free it would be no problem.
You don't know the area. Go see it for yourself. I was in the area 2 years ago. A friend if mine has property there. The drive through neighborhood to get there is not safe. Have you noticed what wasn't mentioned about the surrounding areas. The streets weren't shown. Roads aren't paved. Every street is named after books in the bible yet they don't maintained the roads. Working class people live there but they need to demand more up keep. Why are they selling. Hmmmm

The exterior of this house looks grand but the interior looks dated and cluttered. Just a tip: when you're showing a resale home you can increase the appeal with careful staging. Paint the walls in neutral colors, remove window coverings or push them to the side, blinds are fine, and minimize clutter and personal items. Potential buyers want to imagine and see themselves and their belongings in the home, not the seller's.

People keep commenting about making it modern. Not all houses will have modern design as if it's the only kind that exists. Modern houses can sometimes have a sterile look. It's a grand house.

I love some of the older looking, antique furniture that I am seeing. Some of it has a lot of value and is worth saving or selling for a high price after they are refurbished.

Not everything that's dark wood is mahogany, also is not every wood old looking furniture is of value and classified as antique. Old yes but not valuable. This house and it’s decor is probably speaking to Jamaicans who absolutely love bright colours and decorative elements around them. If anyone has any Imagination they can mentally add or delete as they wish. Lovely house. Personalised to the current owners wish. The potential is amazing and all you criticisers, move up and leave our pretty house alone.

Idk, but either the rooms are too large, or the furniture isn't appropriately scaled or placed. The house has a lot of potential, but it needs an interior decorator's touch. Good video to view on a Sunday afternoon.

This is a gorgeous house and property! It is not modern, which is understandable, having been built years ago. Not withstanding that, it is adequately maintained and organized. It is a lived in house, done to its owners taste, so I expect it to be as it. The only thing that goes against this property and accounts for the price point is its location. The owner did make this house very functional and liveable! A beautiful home. Unfortunately, they'll hardly profit from their efforts due to the crime and dilapidated state of Spanish Town. Location is absolutely important! Thanks to the owners though for taking so much pride in their home. This is 1 big reason why the government and citizens of Jamaica should be more active in creating better communities and country!

I grew up in green acres as a child back in Jamaica when me and my sister walking home we always competing about the homes We couldn’t pick because they are all beautiful property back then
And the environment was peaceful
The crimes in Jamaica are destroying most of these beautiful neighborhoods
I could appreciate the apprehension to move to such an area where the property is detached, which could attract the wrong people - which is the reason why many newly returnees are likely to live in a gated community because of the level of crime. in Jamaica. It is a beautifully maintained house, if dated but still nice.

@@dojnbeck8609 for this area in St. Catherine where the quickest way to get into this area is through Fedda Bed Lane. It's way over priced. Why buy a house and lose your freedom to live over there in peace. The roads are terrible there.
This house is featured several times on You Tube. They can't give it away if they tried.

Very spacious need a lot of overhauling white paint will make this house look more beautiful. Most furniture out dated.
This house seems better suited for some type of bed and breakfast that is ideal for retreats and the like. Unless your family consists of 8-10 children, this house is way too big for day to day living. The outside is lovely but definitely needs a refresh on the inside. Based on what I’ve seen, the price seems low for a house of this size. There must be some factors that have kept the asking price so low. 🤔
The area outskirts of Spanish Town reason for the price. If that was in a high end area in St Andrew it would be three times the price.

Lots of space... ..but the house inside dated, too traditional....and too crowded. furnitures are too chunky......and if there are so much views of the mountains....there should be more windows....open spaces... The back balcony doesn't invite the outdoors in....looks like you are trapped.......the upstairs balcony is very nice........This home has possibilities.......it just need interior updating .....Modern paint colors.....built ins.... swimming pool... Thanks for sharing

@@smartd111 Have no idea why, you live in a tropical country with great artisans, from furniture to art and beyond and you end up with a crowded and cluttered house. I think this house belongs to an elderly person, probably from abroad, who retired in Jamaica. My parents took everything to furnish their house from Canada, the big dark dining table. overstuffed chairs, and the million trinkets. that however, is not the important thing, they are enjoying their home clutter and all and so does the family when we are there.

It's about 314,000 US and 231,614.18 British pounds. Could be an investment property. There needs to be a lot of reno, and they would probably need to invest in putting in a pool.

The rude comments about the furniture and other parts of the interior are so irrelevant and short sighted. Obviously the owners have lived in their home for several years. Having said that, the home is beautiful, very well maintained and the layout is very functional for its size. It just needs a new owner with a keen design eye and, of course, vision- which many JA’cans lack these days.
