  • "Salmon Eye" is the name of the metal orb that floats in the middle of the Hardanger Fjord in Norway. The architectural masterpiece by the Danish company Kvorning Design is a part walk-in art installation and part high-end restaurant. The centerpiece is "Iris," a restaurant. Only 24 guests are seated on any particular evening. The menu costs around €270 per person. Danish chef Anika Madsen serves 18 courses; she's known for her creative usage of unique ingredients that are harvested directly from the surrounding sea and mountains. The mission is to promote sustainability and a more conscious approach to food.

Thank you for your comment @awakins1635. The official Salmon Eye boats that transport the guests are all powered by electricity, not by diesel.

Yeah, and the batteries are sourced locally from 500m around the restaurant. This is just another way the rich clean their mind while living above the possibilities of the planet

Why is this weird architecture a heaven for foodies? 1440pm 18.11.23 that's a long swim after a large meal or when drunk, though... nice building.

Ethos? Where's the ethos in killing living creatures when one could eat a ton of other things?!

There's a thing called an ecosystem.
Try to study and understand that please 😊

@@AJ-I oh really? I suggest that you educating yourself on the meaning of the word "ethos", instead of using the ecosystem as a cheap excuse for killing living creatures. You're not a feline!

@@mariapap8962 calm down sis. nothing can be spared when it comes to feed your belly.
What a carnivore eats is meat.
What an herbivore eats is plant.
What an omnivore eats is both.
We humans are by gene designed to eat creatures. you can't change that.
