I do like this layout this year!! It fits what we need. It does not need a window under the coat rack. In my opinion most RVs have too many windows is allowing all sort of looky-lous peeping in on your business. Not to mention it is harder to maintain heat and/or cool within the RV. If you had private land where your neighbors are not within 10 feet of you, windows are awesome.
@@JoshtheRVNerd Which is easy to do in a trailer with all the windows. 😉 You can see all their "views" and you even get to play a game of "Is it the wind, or is it the gas station murder hobo?", if you want to. 😂
I can dig it. We take my Sister and her Fiance Camping as well as my Wife's brother and his wife camping every year. Having more than one adult sized bed makes a ton of sense to me.
Hey Josh, I’m actually really loving this. And I think you’re absolutely correct for adults or children that need a little extra attention. This is definitely a great camper. And I love the fact that finally finally finally they put the bunks from side to side of the camper. It definitely makes a difference. I really like them. In the kitchen, although it’s a little small, it still works. Definitely can deal with it. As for the bathrooms for some reason, I just like the walk-through bathrooms. To me it gives the RV a sectioned off feel from the main bedroom. Then again the sliding doors are a big hit with me. Saves a lot of room! And it doesn’t block stuff. If I had one grip about the kitchen, it would be that the stove is in that nook, and I think it would be really hard to cook in the nook lol. In the bedroom, I never have like the plywood press board that they use for the mattress. I would prefer a real plywood mattress board. But that’s just me. Other than that I have very little complaints or grips and moans about this camper. I really like it. Keep Rockin Josh
Omg! Love the look of these for 2025. The bunks in the front is great. A bigger kid can fit. The kitchen is a lot better. Like the storage. Love the stove. The bedroom is good. Overall I love how different this is. Thank you!
It would be awesome if there was a residential sofa “option” for the outdated diner booth dinette for people who prefer to have comfortable seating for 4-5 people💥instead of just 2😢
i really like that you get essentially two private sleeping areas with the front bunk and the back bedroom. The second door in the back is key for when the kids lock you out by the bathroom!
Cool! We have had our 2920BS since late April 2024. We bought it without even seeing it, only watching two prototype models on videos. We absolutely love it. P.S. We like our version better, WAY more storage than this model...
While not the ideal floorplan for us, there's a lot to like about this one. Love the color of the dinette bench. The truncated pantry that gives way to more counter space works. The front bunks would be fine for cargo if used as a couple's rig. The split bath isn't too bad if it's just a couple using it, but for family use it seems like it could cause some friction. At first I thought the master bedroom dresser was a window seat and was excited about it until I realized it wasn't. For use as a family model, the master bedroom should probably have a TV too, for when the kids are monopolizing the living room set. Thanks for the tour, Uncle Josh!
I love this camper!! For my family, perfect. And I don’t really mind the bathroom because if someone needs to get to the back bedroom that bad if someone else is in the bathroom, they can go outside and enter the bedroom through the other door.😊
LOVE this! Josh THIS solves for the problems I have, and that you mention. Adult child with special needs and a sister who likes to come along. Bunk models aren't appropriate for my daughter and sister,? Well, she's short and is willing to/can sleep anywhere, but still...THESE BEDS/BUNK SOLVE IT! I love a walk through bathroom...lots of room to move and help my daughter w/ showing and other needs. Love 2 entry doors. Love the countertop space. You're right, there's space for hooks and jacket hanging on the opposite side of that entry door, opening up that wall for a window where they currently have the coat hooks. I've never towed something this long... 34 feet is a lot. Still, thanks to Grand Design for really delivering what lots of people need! The changes from last year are significant, especially those LONG bunks...the result of moving the bunk room storage cabinet from the bunk ends. Thanks Josh for getting this footage. I had no idea this model existed!
Love this floor plan, love the road mode access, love the lack of swing down step at the rear door. Makes access in tight spaces possible. Love the bed slide though not especially CPAP friendly. Would love to see this same floor plan without the bunks and maybe just a tad shorter. Leave everything else the same!!! Nice job GDRV!!
I’m impressed with this layout! We have the Keystone 25MLE and wish we had a good “guest” bed. The tri-fold couch doesn’t cut it. Love these full length bunks! Only two negatives-the lack of room on the sides of the stovetop (the back area is inaccessible once the glass cover is raised) and the bed really needs better/bigger side tables for dual CPAP couples. Pleasantly surprised with the road mode (we watch your videos specifically for this and your sense of humor).
Love this one. My wife likes the big bathroom and doesn't mind the walk through. Also It can double as a hunting base with the adult beds. I wish the tanks were bigger but I get they were weight and size constrained.
Agree! Great model for family camping. Road mode is awesome! ONLY drawback for me is the oven/range situation. No problem if most of cooking is outdoors 😁 Two entry doors is a must for us!
Love it for a larger camper. Interior coloring is nice, but the "farmhouse" white wd be over the top awesome. The longer bunks are fantastic. Some kids are tall or want their stuffed animals or actual pets to sleep with them at their feet (or adult guests). Great job, Imagine and great job, as always, Josh.
I had a walk through bath in our first TT bunk house. I didn’t really mind it. We did have the second exterior door that was a good work around when you needed it. Kids were young then, so they were in bed by the time I needed to shower. You know how it is, every model has pros and cons. Merry Christmas #Nerdherd
Bought our 2024 2920bs this past July. Love it! Tows great with our 2500hd. I like the changes they made to the bunk house but prefer the storage in our kitchen pantry and outdoor kitchen in the 2024 version. Thanks for the great video!
@ I think the kitchen is done very well, I love the big bunks. I think my least favorite is the walkthrough bathroom, but it makes this floor plan work so I could get over it.
We got the 2910BH that this replaced in the lineup because it was going out of production. Was worried we made the wrong choice, but we have more storage in the 2910 because of how they changed it to the 2920. Still a great unit though!
@JoshtheRVNerd huzzah! We are not alone. :) we actually had so much I custom built the back tail storage in half to have dog kennel for our lab, under the bottom bunk with a kennel door. and still have access to 4 feet × 3 feet of storage. Basically have a triple bunk now 2 humans and 1 dog lol.
That is some awesome road mode space! I'm so glad they got rid of the 2 tone cabinet doors. They always screamed the 70's to me. Wish the floor looked like plank wood flooring but grateful it's not carpet or mixed look materials in a small, mostly open space. The space behind the stove is a good place for a cooking utensil crock but better make sure you grab what you need before you start! I'd rather lose the window in the bedroom and increase my hanging space but I'm coming as one who lived in a camper 7 months waiting for our house to be completed. Our 6 1/2 foot tall grandson would really appreciate that bunk space! Very well done.
They put the bed in a slide so you cannot use it for a crackerstop - a slide that you could occupy would fix this. I Guess you could sleep in the bunkroom if you leave the kids at home.
We full time with a teenager and if that had been around when we bought would have seriously considered it. Only drawback I can see for what we need is the smaller freshwater tank. We camp in midsouth and need extra water during the cold snaps.
Nice trailer. The bunkhouse would be converted to my closet. 😅 Quick question, where would you hook up a tv in the bedroom? There's a window between the 2 "shirt closets".
I like the majority of this layout except where the range is located. That space is too narrow for me. I cook a lot which is why I see a huge issue with pot and skillet handles. We do have a special needs child so we are looking for our next camper since he is now 16 and just under six feet tall.
I can use the slide closed with the slim rack system? FYI The layout graphic shows 76in bunks but the layout on the GD site lists the bunks 93 inches which seems correct.
This one is very nice. Needs. Window by the coat rack. I like the windows for open view in bunk room. What model is this? and they still have the OVEN!
What model of this would be the couples version? I really like this but we are at the point that one kid is in college and our other soon to graduate high school. I really like this but realistically it's just my Husband 2 dogs and myself 90% of the time lol. Ty Josh for showing these campers so in-depth. I love seeing rode mode and all the little details I never think of until you point them out!
Good setup for a bunkhouse for older giant kids lol. But man, I'd prefer the bedroom slide to be the dresser/wardrobe.. Cause the bed in a slide makes me worry about bunging up the slide while we do taxes... Because taxes are very important..... Thanks nerd
Ya missed a Ying Yang Twins with Lil John reference when you said wall-to-wall bunks. Should've gone with "windows to the walls, the sweat drips. . . "
I think I liked the old version better. Would be nice to have common bed size for bunks for easy mattress swap. I also wish they would have moved the storage in the bedroom up got rid of the window and added an outdoor refrigerator.
No windows in the bunk room would be great. Im not a fan of windows against my bed. Remove that little window in the bedroom too! A mirror or additional cabinet would be better.
Completely agree why the windows over the dresser eliminate the windows and add hanging closet space instead noone wants a window at their head when it's hot or cold out.
I have been day dreaming about front full sized bunks for a long time. I just need Rockwood or someone to add them to a Minilite so I can actually tow it with Tahoe.
Finally a bunkroom you can be comfortable in. Would like to see USB and outlets in each bunk and a place for a tv. Loose all the drawers and extra window. Make the pantry vertical where the coat hooks are and a L shape kitchen with the stove. Is there storage underneath the benches? Need a place for a tv in the primary; rearrange the storage. Where's the outdoor kitchen? Electric stabilizers? 7 out of 10 👍
I do think this is a great floorplan. I wonder if Grand Design would create a floor plan almost completely identical without the front bunks and full front kitchen. Similar to the flagstaff 26sfk or the rockwood 2619fk I think that would work really well. Or I guess it would be a reversed Imagine XLS 23LDE with a bed slide
Would rather have the more open feeling of the rear bedroom if they removed the left hanging cabinet. I like everything else. There's a real shortage of rear bedroom bunkhouses with campside windows out there.
Somebody with more knowledge about this please correct me. But the super low cargo capacity seems like an easy fix. Can't they just put better axles on this thing?
It's not just axles it's also frame thickness this unit has extremely low cargo capacity should be in the 2500 to 3000lb range not 1000 and I bet it's under 1000 once that 2nd ac unit added and propane is full
Possibly but it depends on what the weak link is Could be axles Could be brakes Or tires Or springs Or chassis Or floor And other stuff Cargo cap is going to be limited to the first one to fail
Anything with a double slide for a half ton? Preferably floor space and open living area. I hate when they put the dang island in the middle of the room. I have two kids and two BIG dogs!
Totally depends on the truck in question. Once you get big enough to have two slides a lot of half tons are no longer capable Try the 2670mk and 2970rl
I wonder if they could fit a queen in the front top bunk space so that two adults could sleep in there. Having another couple with you and their kids that would be perfect

Lovin this layout Josh. Question: Will that bedroom slide allow you to sleep in that bed with the slide in?
Unsure. I don’t know the official stance on that system
Good setup for a bunkhouse for older giant kids lol. But man, I'd prefer the bedroom slide to be the dresser/wardrobe.. Cause the bed in a slide makes me worry about bunging up the slide while we do taxes... Because taxes are very important..... Thanks nerd
“Taxes”
Take that pantry behind the dinette, add an slide out outdoor kitchen under it and take my money!
Ya missed a Ying Yang Twins with Lil John reference when you said wall-to-wall bunks. Should've gone with "windows to the walls, the sweat drips. . . "

Would be perfect layout if it had a outdoor kitchen.
I think I liked the old version better. Would be nice to have common bed size for bunks for easy mattress swap. I also wish they would have moved the storage in the bedroom up got rid of the window and added an outdoor refrigerator.

No bunks. Just the queen
No windows in the bunk room would be great. Im not a fan of windows against my bed. Remove that little window in the bedroom too! A mirror or additional cabinet would be better.
I disagree... mostly. But putting a way to mount good quality blackout blinds on these windows might be a good idea.
Completely agree why the windows over the dresser eliminate the windows and add hanging closet space instead noone wants a window at their head when it's hot or cold out.
Interesting idea
I have been day dreaming about front full sized bunks for a long time. I just need Rockwood or someone to add them to a Minilite so I can actually tow it with Tahoe.

I do think this is a great floorplan. I wonder if Grand Design would create a floor plan almost completely identical without the front bunks and full front kitchen. Membrane. Nearly nothing uses metal or fiberglass roofing in the common trailer segment. Heritage Glen and hemisphere are about the only ones
Nice camper
Thanks for checking it out!
Would rather have the more open feeling of the rear bedroom if they removed the left hanging cabinet. I like everything else. There's a real shortage of rear bedroom bunkhouses with campside windows out there.

😆
You would need alot of pillows on that top bunk to prevent you from rolling off?
Probably better with a safety rail being added
Somebody with more knowledge about this please correct me. But the super low cargo capacity seems like an easy fix. Can't they just put better axles on this thing?
It's not just axles it's also frame thickness this unit has extremely low cargo capacity should be in the 2500 to 3000lb range not 1000 and I bet it's under 1000 once that 2nd ac unit added and propane is full

it is fairly minimal for sure
Yep it's absolutely laughable it's so low...crappy engineered frames that can't handle weight
Anything with a double slide for a half ton? Preferably floor space and open living area. I hate when they put the dang island in the middle of the room. I have two kids and two BIG dogs!
Totally depends on the truck in question. Once you get big enough to have two slides a lot of half tons are no longer capable
Try the 2670mk and 2970rl
I wonder if they could fit a queen in the front top bunk space so that two adults could sleep in there.
Having another couple with you and their kids that would be perfect
Don’t believe that’ll fit
This would have been nice 13 years ago. LOL..😊😊😊😊
Cargo capacity is to low though.
It’s minimal for sure
I wasn't paying attention. But the front bumps couldn't be converted to an office because of the pass-through correct
Not without sacrificing the pass thru
GD put scissor jacks on this monster?? GMAFB.
