I received Midnight Rendezvous 3 days ago and wow what a fragrance. I’ve own the vintage and I’m very impressed it’s extremely close to the original but it last and projects waaaay longer especially on clothes. I’m very happy with my purchase.

I've been wearing this for the past couple of weeks. Funny thing is that I was never a fan of the original but this is a whole'nother BEAST. Smells so smooth and wonderful. Catching wafts in the air is a real treat while experiencing this fragrance. Gonna order a back up bottle.

I did buy my first dua and its this one. To me, it smells 50% same as La nuit de l'homme in the opening (very hard to clone the opening of LNDH I noticed), its thicker more dense and has a cologny vibe at the start (not necessarily a bad thing but I prefer the original) however, within 30 minutes, it gets extremely close to dry down of the OG/latest formula (about 90%). And yes it does smell really good on the drydown and lasts. Overall it was a successful buy and now I will be looking at their other ones. Next one will be dua intense play that clones givenchy play intense.
I get the haters, but I LOVE Dua for what they do and I genuinely appreciate you for doing the Dua reviews...great video as always...
Several months ago I asked in the dua fragrance group if we could ever get a Vintage La Nuit clone...a few people commented and some tagged Mahsam...then a couple months later I see him posting midnight rendezvous coming soon...for all I know it may have been in the works for a year or more but I'm in love w dua...have 31 bottles

dua is just a all around better value than 95% percent of desinger frags out in the game now.......better preformance...longevity is beast....projection is beast....smell is beast......two squirts of this juice is like 8-10 hours easy..........this juice is absoulutely mind boggling...........worth every penny......actually worth more.

Hey Matt.... how's the performance and projection on this one ? I'm interested in getting a bottle. I'm a big fan of La Nuit, but I've only smelled the newer versions.
Sheeraz Khan performs about 8hrs on my skin, about 9hrs on my clothes.. I’m was pleased with that with being a “designer”.. projection is great though, I get wiffs of it while at work well into 3hrs.. I also spray 4-5 sprays too.
This is a must have from Dua, extremely enjoyable and the performance is crazy good.

I'm really starting to love Dua. I purchased Black Widow and F'ing Cherry and adore them. Just ordered a limited edition original Dua called Incense Nights. Sounded to interesting to pass on. Thanks for introducing me to this house.

I want to order Incense Night it sounds so interesting but 75$ for a 30ml is a little crazy for a clone house even if it's an original creation.....I inquired about a sample but got no response! Id be really interested to hear how you like it and what it smells like
DUA done an excellent job with this one! I don't have the original formula but I have a 2012 batch and a 2013 edition art batch and I prefer the DUA over both of them. Samples are available on eBay.

@@HermanJones34 I would assume so just as much as the original La Nuit. The DUA does seem to perform well. I've only worn it once as it's new to my collection. I would also add that I wear fragrances nearly every day, have over 600 in my collection and rarely get compliments. But I also don't choose scents with any compliment factor in mind other than going light for the office and somewhat people pleasing for social situations.
That said, personally I think La Nuit is a good scent but the DNA is very overhyped. My wife is not a fan of it (she generally only likes fresh summer scents). DUA done a great job with the scent but La Nuit in general would not be my scent if choice for compliments if that were my intent.

@@rpmautopartsinc.7922 Smelling now. Still great. I haven't worn it since I got it to be honest. I've never been the biggest fan of the La Nuit dna. I am a decanter and have about 1600 scents in my collection so I never get to wear most of them.
Steven, per the Dua website, this is meant to recreate the vintage 2010 formulation. Another great video, love the channel!

My annual fragrance budget is not 4 or 5 grand. If I absolutely must have the OG then Ill shell out the $ but those instances are exceptions not the rule. Otherwise I am more than comfortable spending my cash for a product INSPIRED ( a great word which unfortunately most people dont understand) by infamous perfumery and with Dua more often than not Im more than comfortable in doing so. At the end of the day I have to achieve olfactory satisfaction with fragrances that are also obedient to my budget. Dua accomplishes this for me as well as providing opportunities in fragrances that will most likely never be in my possession, realistically speaking. Pretentious attitudes have been birthed in the notion that uber expensive fragrances are the only path to nirvana. At the end of the day only one thing matters to me, am i satisfied. In my world Dua fragrances allow me to answer that question with a resounding YES!
I honestly wish Dua could create an inspired expression of Initio Parfums Rehab 🔥

Juma Juma why? they charge 50+ for 30ml and a cheap bottle. Niche price for a copy? It just doesn’t make sense. The old reformulations are not that better. I could get niche fragrances for these price.

Sheeraz, I sprayed my clothes so I got a good 7-8 hours of longevity and the projection was good for about two hours. I got positive compliments too. I own two bottles of the newer formulations but if you're a fan of the original this one is fantastic.
I never thought I'd buy another Dua fragrance. But this may have changed my mind. 🤔

They're quite similar. It's truly hard to separate them.
I recently got my hands on this and it smells great! More pronounced and longer lasting.. BUT its missing that La Nuit vibe we’ve all come to love.. very close composition.. i’d rather just go with la nuit l’intense .. anywayss comgrats on your brand 🤘🏾

Steven do you think we should let our dua bottles age like Alexandria fragrances because I’ve heard with a lot of clone houses you have to let some air in from spraying it and let the oils stabilize for a few weeks?
I wouldn't give it too much thought. It will get stronger in time because of the maceration process, but I start wearing mine right away.

I would say the Dua since they reverse engineered the vintage version, but they're both good!
I'm a fan of the Alexandria Frangrances lineup, never tried dua. May have to try them sometime.

If performance is an issue for you, why don't you carry a decant and reapply? I usually carry full bottles with me for my weaker performing Scents..

Hey Steven how long have your fragrances lasted? I have 6 on the $80-$90 range. I safely store them in a drawer. I heard they only last 2 and a half years. Now I kind of regret buying so many
As long as they are stored properly, they can last a lifetime! I would just make sure they are away from exposure to direct sunlight, oxygen, and extreme temperatures!

Uggh. This is why you really cannot wait until frags hit discounters. By that time, they just aren't what they were. Shame. If I'm spending 100$ for a fragrance, it'd be nice to have some level of confidence that there hasn't been a marked decline in the performance. I suppose it isn't cost effective to maintain the same level/quality of ingredients, and I guess they assume people will keep buying it anyway.
I've learned that if you truly genuinely like a fragrance, better just to get it.

At the end of the day the resemblance is soo uncanny that you cannot tell that it’s an interpretation of the original. Also once this macerates you damn near have a carbon copy to the original la nuit by YSL.

@@Redolessence glad Dua got the right spice. I replicated the original version years ago coriander and caraway was never the original note. Cumin is stronger and longer lasting than both and used in the right dosage can give off a reminiscence of fresh sweat from great sex. Thus why women associate the vintage batch with sex, cuddling and date night

Hmm. Perhaps it's the combination of patchouli with a note of ethyl maltol. That would be my guess.

No one seems to mention that even if you pay an arm and a leg for a vintage bottle of La nuit... the fragrance will be starting to age and ruin... top notes will be faded. All perfume goes off over time... save your money.

I have half a bottle from 2009, full bottle from 2011 and a full bottle of frozen cologne im trying to sell I never wear it or feel like wearing it and im not on Facebook so selling is awkward to do so they just sit in my cabinet. I know scent is personal but im not sure how this scent got its mythical status 🤷♂️ not that interesting to me which is why I never wear it and actually of the three the frozen cologne is my favorite.

Redolessence 😊🙏I’m saying this because the midnight rendezvous has a dry woody dry down. The la nuit (I have art edition) has a zingy slightly floral piney I don’t know 🤷♂️ but I think the art edition is more pleasant. As far as the scent itself I can’t knock it it’s pretty spot on to la nuit just darker, more play doughy. I think also the price is good on the dua 25 because I don’t feel like I have to conserve the bottle like I do the Art edition.
If dua can make it so cheap why cant ysl?
@@jacjacy1180 same price as ysl lndl. My point is ysl reformulated because they source cheaper ingredients now but kept price the same. Obv dua figured out a way to make the same vintage product but keep the price the same. Why cant ysl?
Hmm. I would imagine it has a lot to do with YSL needing to pay for advertising, presentation, and the likes. I'm not entirely sure though.
