I was born with a bad heart condition and needed a transplant two years ago. I've always felt like shit because someone had to die to supply a better life for me. But I've started to see what that person was thinking when I hear this song. It's going beyond having a use after you die. It's feeling compassion for someone whose time is almost over, enough that you would willingly let yourself be divided and given to people so they have a shot at a better life. It's like sharing a piece of yourself to provide health and comfort to someone and everyone who knows them. It's like, even though you are gone, a part of you still lives on and helps another person live.
You have just summed up my reason for being an organ donor... heck, they can take all my blood too after I die... if they can do that. I think I have O+ blood too.
I think you just inspired me to be an organ donor. :P I would write a note to be delivered with my organ(s) so that the person(s) will know something about me and my decision. :)
Thank you! That's basically my reason why I became an organ donor. Apparently I can help up to 8 people! If I can help someone even after I die, I don't think its a life wasted, and even if I don't live a fulfilling life, it will still be meaningful because someone will live and have the chance to have more experiences and fulfill whatever they want to do with their life. Also, I heard that sometimes people who get transplanted with the donor's organs especially their heart, and intestines can get some traits of the donor (personality/interests/preferred food). Have you had an experience something like that? If its okay to ask. Thank you! :) Have a wonderful life!
i know it sounds silly but this is what helped me become an organ donor. "Never really dying as you save someones life" that line really had an impact on me.
Omg... This made me cry... I love this song.. I couldn't stop thinking of my grandmother. When she died she donated her eyes for a little girl. My grandmother was a doctor and this song embodies her I feel. I want to meet that little girl one day and look into my grandmothers eyes. She lives on in the lives of others. I can't stop crying.. Thank you so much for translating this song.. I hope this song continues to live on. Thank you Judy!
This song reminds me of a friend who recently passed away. He donated all his organs, I sang this song for my school's talent show too. standing ovation, and some were crying, even me. Juby, I thank you for this, on behalf of my friend. He was also very young, and many knew him. I don't want this to turn into a eulogy, I just wanted to thank you Juby
+Imani Brown right? if you don't donate your organs they would rot with you. it'll be better to give them to whom needs them, just think of angel beats otonashi
Showed this to my sister and she replied with, "It's a beautiful song and a beautiful voice but omg who says 'kidneys' in a song" Some people just don't understand Vocaloid music =w=;
well, considering this song is about giving organs to another person to live, once your either brain dead or dead. Literally this entire song is about an organ donor (if you dont know what that means, thats a person who has signed up for if they die or go brain dead they're giving their organs to people who need it.) The kidney is an organ so that would be why. Its not just cause its a vocaloid song.
anybody being confused by the use "kidneys, innards, heart," and etc., confuse me ?? its a song and the point of it is literally to be about organ donation ?? anyone singing about it would use literally any organ term so why is it ,, bizarre to anybody ???
Being an organ donor genuinely makes me feel happy. Even if I don't do much with my life, even if I live a pretty useless life, with no impact on others, at least I can help other people when I die. I'm not worthless ^-^
I have an idea about this song. The topic of breathing comes up a lot, because "nothing means a thing if you can't breathe" is sung after every repetition of the chorus. And then she sings "Turning back into the room they split you in two Anything I'd give, that were me and not you", I'm thinking that her loved one went under some surgery of some sort because of a lung issue. And now she's giving away her organs in her loved one's memory.
Every single time I try to sing along with this I burst into tears. I don't know how you possibly recorded this without breaking down. (Then again, I cry at everything, so, maybe it's just me...)
Ali Mary Cat honestly I haven't even tried to sing this yet, but for both the original and this version, I cry my eyes out every time I listen without fail
I've been meaning to register to be an organ donor for a while, but I've always been put off while researching it. I want to help people if I can, but thinking about your own death isn't exactly an enjoyable way to spend your time. I found this song a few days ago, and it's forced me to think about it again. So, I finally registered. Beautiful song, beautiful voice. Thanks for sharing the song and helping it get heard.
This song usual makes me think of Angel beats (like every else),but this time it made me think of My Sister's Keeper. Now the tears are just flowing because I can't stop thinking about the end of that book.
How nostalgic. Pretty sure I was watching Angel Beats around the time I first heard this song too. I should consider finding out how to become an organ donor
I think people who donate there organs are like real life superheroes. just think about it. if something were to happen to them they could give a healthy part of there body to someone who needs it desperately to stay alive. there saving people's lives!
I am commenting to let you know that I used your lyrics and the movie with the english lyrics for my cover. I credited you in both RUclips and NicoNico uploads, but I am not too familiar with the system...please let me know if I did anything wrong or disrespectful to you. Thank you for such a beautiful cover!
It's just me, but 'lai' in Chinese, 来, means 'come', so to me I think it as her saying 'if you need my organs just come to me,don't feel sorry'.But then again,it's all me XD
This song is beautiful, not just vocals and instrumentation, because of the meaning. I don't think people consider the gift of donating your organs after you no longer need them as much as they should. After you've left this world, why let your perfectly good organs go to waste? It's a wonderfully beautiful thought that a part of you could actually *save somebody's life!* I am most definitely a donor! Thank you so much for covering this, Juby. I might not have found it otherwise!! ^_^
I'm leaving a note in my wallet in case of my death/an accident where I have no options left. It states that if there are no options left for me, please donate my organs. Save someone's life. It's on my license, but I want to make sure. Just in case my family can't be contacted or I'm missing my license. Because that'd be such a waste. These lyrics on are the other side of the note.
NO ONE UNDERSTAND!!!! MY LOVE FOR THIS SONG!! like I show it to my sister and she's like that's weird. But its sooo sweet! She's willing to donate everything thing she has just to save the person(love interest) WHY DOES NO ONE SEE THE UNDERLYING BEAUTY OF A SONG ABOUT ORGANS!!! WHY DO WE LET CHRISTINA PERRY GET AWAY WITH JAR OF HEARTS(love the song by the way) BUT AS SOON AS SOME ONE MENTIONS AN "eyeball" THEN ITS WEIRD!! WHAT ABOUT KATY PERRYS PEACOCK?!!(also like that song) SHE LITERALLY SAYS cock BUT NOOOO!!! EYEBALL IS WEIRD!! ugh. non anime/vocaloid fans. = my sister and everything she for.
I'm already a donor but this song means so much to me. When I was little I fell of my bike and broke my arm. Found out the humorous was hollow because of a ruptured cyst we hadn't known about. That lead to many medical appointments and two surgeries (hopefully no more) and for one of them some cadaver bone was used. Donating really can and does change the lives of those still alive.
I forgot how much I loved this song. It feels like I've opened a little time capsule of my summer this year. It was a sad summer. It was a hard summer. But this was one of the things that I used to listen to while I was trying to sleep, forgetting all of those things. So yeah, I just really like this song. Thanks, Juby. :)
This song always reminds me of when I was in the hospital. I remember how willing my friends were to give me anything I needed, whether it was something simple like flowers or a stuffed animal or an organ or blood. I'm grateful for teh people who did give up their blood for me, since I wouldn't be alive right now if it wasn't for them ;3; I love this song and your cover for it! Your awesome.
This song shows how everyone should act. Things like organs, why not let someone else use them if you're dead? It's a way of being a nice person after death. This song shows that no matter what, you can be a nice person, even not on this earth. Well done Juby! You've done an AMAZING job with this song and the transition from Japanese to English! Bless you! :3
This is such a beautiful song, but not the first time something like this has made me think about organ donation. Angel Beats had a tear-jerker of an episode about it. But you covered this so beautifully. And I was seriously thinking just the other day, "I wonder if anyone will do a cover of this? It's just too amazing for anyone to leave alone." XD
The most beautiful of flowers never wither. As long as someone listens to it, it will blossom in their ears and take root in their hearts. The beauty of what you sing always blows me away.
This really means a lot to me. A short time ago, one of my close friends needed a heart transplant. Yesterday, she died in the hospital. Even though she had moved away when I was young, I still remember her well. It's as if you had telepathy or were stalking me or something. Thank you for covering this song. (Sorry if this sounds dumb)
This song has probably became my favorite cover of yours... Its so touching and your voice makes it more perfect... Juby... just take it... Take my heart. *hands over heart*
Showing this to some of my friends, right away! Juby, you're fantastic, and you chose an amazing song to cover. Beware the streets, and a glorious glomp of glee, if I ever meet you!
Wow...this song hits close to home for me and...just wow...I can't stop crying. You're so amazing and this just helped me come to terms with a lot, believe it or not.
why i subscribed to Juby: her beautiful voice. her epic humor. how her lyrics rock. how even though i know i'm one of millions of people who listen to her i feel like she's singing to me. Juby, you're epic. :)
I'll be honest, this was the very first song I ever heard Juby sing, and I subscribed immediately. I love it so much. I nearly cry every single time. :*(
All your music makes me want to cry or smile a lot. Since it's English,I love to sing along to all of your wonderful songs! It's so creative. I really love your voice and there shouldn't be anyone hating this song. Thank goodness I was born on earth~
I just found out that a wonderful young man from our ward died. His organs are being donated. This song helps me to understand and comforts me. Even in death he helps people, that is so amazing. Sorry, I have to wipe away some tears right now. Thank you Juby, for being a wonderful singer.
This song really goes to my... stomach? Every time I hear it and actually think about the lyrics, I just feel all weird in my stomach. This song also reminds me of Angel Beats (Anime). Anyway, Nice Job, Juby-Chan! You have really good taste in songs. •_• Time to download it on my tablet, tebayo!
Woah. I'd always wanted to donate my own organs when I'm gone from this world. But now, I'm certain to go through with it. I'm definitely putting this on my "to-do" list. Thanks for the lovely cover, Juby!
I don't like getting sappy but I just had to tell you how wonderful this song is, how beautiful it is and how amazing you are Juby. I haven't cried over this in years but when I was three my dad passed away. He'd gotten a heart transplant but his other organs failed shortly after. It was crushing but when I listen to this song I realize that those extra days I got with him I got because of someone else kind enough to donate. I never said thanks to them so I will now, and thanks to you too.
Wah- When did this happen?! I literally JUST found this song a few days ago and was thinking about how great it would be for you to sing it - and now here it is! D: THANK YOU!
This is just amazing! I can't stop listening to it, Judy you really threw everything into this and it does touch people's hearts in so many ways. Thank you. T_T (free hugs for everyone)
I love your Music, it inspires me to do what i love- Write. I have written 3 story's based on your Music, its beautiful i love it. I have recently gone though a breakup and i only listen to your songs, they make the hurt go away a little. Please continue your beautiful work.
I'd want to donate all my organs when I die, but my parents think it's stupid and what if I don't really die. Like in Doctor Strange. The guy wasn't actually dead but they were gonna harvest his organs. Oh well
Woah...the lyrics are so deep....I guess donating organs after you die IS like living on through someone else by saving their life. That's a beautiful thought. Juby, I'm going to cry now.....
Since A few months I'm in the Hospital - no one will or can say me what's wrong whit me.. But every time I hear your covers i feel so light and can forget the things what worrie me, that help me a LOT to stand by it. Oh and sorry for the bad english and spelling ! But ya know you have there a German fan , and I I ... I try my best i hope you understad what i will say whit this blabla
Ahhh, I just read a book that was like a more morbid version of this song, where teenagers could be forced by their parents to be 'unwound', or rather be donated in parts to other people, right to the different sections of their brain. It was a little more complex than that, but it was so good, and it hadn't been checked out the whole time it'd been at the library! It's called Unwind and it's by Neal Shusterman. Hearing this song after reading it made me a little sad all over again.
whyyy Jubbyyy Why you sing this song that makes me sob ;-; Makes me think of my friend who battled cancer and lived I thank god everyday, that someone donated their bone for her So very happy
i just found this channel and it's so amazing :) thank you for all the effort you've put into this, it's simply marvellous and makes my days brighter, thank you thank you thank you :)

Pro trick : watch series at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Rocky Orion yea, I've been using flixzone} for years myself :D

I'm now just imagining you quietly say 'Who Lives Who Dies Who Took My Organs?" after singing that.
Thats beautiful sorry for your lose well everyones lose
Sorry for your loss
this song made me consider donating my organs when i die.
Me too.
Me too.
+alphard consencino Do it. Immortality is a lie, and wouldn't you like to save a life?
I did! I wont need them when I'm dead XD

For some reason this comment is the only thing I remember about this song lol
I remembere angel beats....where otonashi donated his organs to help other people when he died..and he don't want her sister to leave his side
@@annabonnett6306 bro my same exact reaction 😭
Reason why i became an organ donor lmao
@@micanikko lol same here

I interpreted is as someone who was an organ donor and they were directly talking to the person they were donating to. But like a future message.

Noooo I just went and watched Angel Beats thanks to you!! Now I'm crying!
You actually inspired me to be a organ donor. Thank you for making this song, it's quite gorgeous.

First heard your cover of this song back in 2014, and still love it to this day, three years later
When I die I want the docs to take me apart if needed, just take what they can use and give it to someone who needs it.

You are just amazing! I will and always listen and cherish these covers on my ipod forever.
I love that you sing songs like this, because they really need to be heard. Ah, you're truly amazing, never stop singing!
This is what inspired me to circle 'Donor' on my drivers permit. :)
I should make my dad, who had a heart transplant, listen to this song..
Miku : IF YOU NEEDED MY LUNGS I'LL LEND THEM TO YOU SENPAI!
Dell : Da fuq..
O.O
I sing your song at hospitals and i see smiles on peoples faces it warms my heart just like this song
Oh! that sounds amazing!

I've been replaying this since you've uploaded this but I haven't commented. Juby, you're boss. You take the tears out of me every time.
This is such a beautiful song, but not the first time something like this has made me think about organ donation. Angel Beats had a tear-jerker of an episode about it. But you covered this so beautifully. And I was seriously thinking just the other day, "I wonder if anyone will do a cover of this? It's just too amazing for anyone to leave alone." XD

as usual juby you outstand me with your beautiful singing
awesome job and keep on going :D

this song and your singing has brought tears to my eyes. i love your songs but this one really touched me. i hope you sing for as long as you can.
why i subscribed to Juby:
her beautiful voice.
her epic humor.
how her lyrics rock.
how even though i know i'm one of millions of people who listen to her i feel like she's singing to me.
Juby, you're epic. :)

Been looking around your channel for awhile and found you did a cover of this, holy shit this is amazing. Thank you for doing a cover of this :)
All your music makes me want to cry or smile a lot. Since it's English,I love to sing along to all of your wonderful songs! It's so creative. I really love your voice and there shouldn't be anyone hating this song. Thank goodness I was born on earth~
FINALY Japan needs more organ donation awarness!!
Oh my goodness
I just found out that a wonderful young man from our ward died. His organs are being donated. This song helps me to understand and comforts me. Even in death he helps people, that is so amazing.
Sorry, I have to wipe away some tears right now.
Thank you Juby, for being a wonderful singer.
This song really goes to my... stomach? Every time I hear it and actually think about the lyrics, I just feel all weird in my stomach. This song also reminds me of Angel Beats (Anime). Anyway, Nice Job, Juby-Chan! You have really good taste in songs.

Time to download it on my tablet, tebayo!
I'm just completely blown away by the song. And your voice is wonderful as always. It really is a nice song.
Am I the only one thinking of Yuzuru Otonashi, here?

Nope. Not the only one. T_T I'm crying so hard right now...
Nope. Immediately thought back to it while listening

You have earned 100 respect points.
All points times by four for that beautiful icon you have.

I was thinking the exact same thing!
Started thinking that when she said, "circle whichever you'd like, it's alright," at the beginning.
I love this song so much! Juby, your voice is so beautiful! Also, am I the only one who thinks of Angel Beats when I heard this?
