Been so busy haven’t had time for u tube, yard, grandkids, appointments you know the drill, hope you had a wonderful anniversary and a great 4th. Your quilt is so stunning, I am sure your boss will love it and feel very special. Talk to you soon.
I know this is from a while ago but I just learned NOT to force my edges together! My jaw dropped watching this video tip. I’ve often had issues with wavy and now I know exactly why. Thank you
Thank you for the reassurance Becky. One of the main reasons that I subscribed to your channel as I see you as a very smart person. I'm kind of a tech-geek myself and I think you are too.
I'm making a heavily pieced quilt, from MSQC. No matter how particular I was with cutting and sewing and unsewing, I have some waves, too. Thank you for the tip! He will never notice, he's a chef. So I appreciate the tip.
Thanks for the quilting tips! Wonky doesn’t even describe my blocks sometimes. And knowing the sashing can fix that, is genius! Enjoy your site! Keep up the good work!👍😁-
Hi Becky. You have sure been busy. The quilt you are making for your boss is just stunning. It looks very hard. You do very good work . Thank you for your prayers. I’m still having a hard time with pain management. I love all your videos. Blessings to you. Elizabeth
Thanks for the sashing tip. It’s nice to have someone to follow that shows you how to do these fixes. I’ve only made 2 quilts and it’s nice to hear that perfect isn’t achievable for most of us. Happy anniversary!
Great VLOG; I learned a lot of new things today. Well done Becky! I love the fact when you say you're gonna get a good "close up" you really do get a good close up. Most folks don't get a true close up view. Thanks!
Love your videos cause I always learn something new. I need all the information I can get, because I am fairly new at this. Thanks you again for a great video and have a great time at the coast.🥰
I just want you to know that every little step you take is another step to getting better. Start small and go from there. I'm so proud that you are quilting!!
Love the quilt you are doing great information about web ordering don't buy on line .Your little pouch is fab love the gnomes .Border information is helpful .😀
Thank you for uploading videos so often! I watch many podcasts crafts related but when you , Joy or Viv upload stuff is like I get news for my friends :) I wish all my friends would have channels :) That gnomes pouch is very nice and looks puffy . I bet your camera feels cozy in it :)
That quilt is beautiful & the gnome cam bag is too cute! Happy Happy Anniversary. Ours is tomorrow....1/1...52 yrs ACK!! lol. I don't quilt, yet but I love watching & learning from you while I knit/crochet. I've figured out how to hem my too long t-shirts & am going to attempt a drawstring project bag. Someone gave me a bag of material & in it was some cute Christmas panels. I am determined to learn to make a small wall hanging with at least one of them by Christmas! Enjoy your anniv. get away & thanx as always for sharing your talent tips tricks etc. You enjoy your summer too....I'm on the southern CA desert...hot hot hot :D
Thank you! I'm very happy with that quilt. It's probably the best I've ever done yet but I'm still to get it on the longarm. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! Good for you both! I've learned it takes patience, perseverance, and oh...did I say patience? LOL You are an inspiration!
For the seersucker consider adding a button placket in the front and some shaping.... take it from a more structured pattern... keep the sleeves or make it into a sleeveless summer top.... :)
Love watching your videos you always have very interested information. I normally don't comment but when you said your anniversary was July 3 Ok I had to share. I was married on July 3, 1969 we have been celebrated our 50th all year. Our son was married on our 30th anniversary. I just wanted to wish you and Keith a very, very happy anniversary and many more happy years.
Oh Kathy!! That's so sweet!! I love that we share the same anniversary! Many happy congratulations to you and your husband! We just attended a 50th for our friends in Port O'Connor as well. I'll never get to that number at this late stage, so you have done what most can not. Bless you! Thanks for commenting and please do so more often! I'm so glad that you watch!!
@@PowerToolsWithThread The most important thing is the quality of time spent together. Time goes so fast. Being loved and giving love is one of God's greatest blessing.
Thank you for the the sashing tips! I love my Brother PQ1500SL but hate the thread cutter too...it cuts way too short! Have fun at the coast! Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😊
How did you learn to sew? Did you take a class or have a mentor? Thanks for all your tips? Have a great time with your hubby on your anniversary vacation. We will miss your videos though.😍🤔🚤
Hi Becky! You might be interested in this - go to Moda Fabrics United Notions Facebook page to see it. "Artist and designer Mara Penny has created a new collection for Moda that is as big and bright as Texas! Desert Song celebrates four Western and Southwestern states - Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas. The collection includes four panels - one for each state - that includes an illustrated state map and the official state bird and flower. There are also coordinating prints. Look for Desert Song in September. (And yes, more states are already in the works.)"
Did you get me hacked? I am just kidding ! I went to Urban Threads to buy the gnome design so I could follow you step by step in the download/save/file process and ran into the problem they are having. Then the email came out, I was wondering what in the crap is going on with this???? I am so glad you have explained this step by step. I am picking up on it slowly, but your videos are a rocket boosters. oh, I have Embrilliance and a scan and cut too. Please keep explaining stuff about the internet and computers... ok I am gonna go sew something! Happy Anniversary
Hey Rhonda! I'm glad I could give you peace of mind on that. I'm pretty sure they will figure it out. I'm so proud that you are pushing yourself it learn and understand all this new technology. Good for you!
I think, maybe, designs in machine embroidery’s site may be broken, too. I went to find the magazine and signed up. When I went to the confirmation email, it said to click the link for a free design. Clicked it and it goes no where. Went back to the site on Safari and there is no way to contact them. When I filled in the form to order the magazine, it told me to allow cookies but I had never disabled cookies in my Safari. I know it’s not your problem but your RUclips is why I went to the site. Just thought you’d like to know. I think this is the first site I’ve ever come across that doesn’t have a way to contact them.
Ohhhhhh yes DON'T cut your top. Great beach cover for picking sea glass. Maybe take it in on the side seams and wear with leggings. A tank top would be SEW perfect. Lots of options. Your top is NOT a fail- just a design opportunity.
Well, if the IT org they use to host their site uses NIST recommendations, then it should be. I said that the web server pulls from the DB but you probably know that it just does a call and the DB serves it up. Their email was very vague so we'll see. Here it is 8pm and it's still not up. Makes me wonder. As soon as it's up, I'm going to change my pw. I'm glad the web company brought down the front door (so no more damage can be done) but still... Also, Urban Threads doesn't not manage their own web stuff of course. They contracted that from somewhere. I wonder where?
You are a wonderful teacher! People can understand it.

Quilt is absolutely beautiful!❤🐢
To soften fabric, even denim, using original Coke in your wash, no soap or anything else, no diet, is amazing and softens fabric . Have fun

This is the first video I’ve seen and I really enjoyed it ! Thanks for the tip on wonky strips !
I love that quilt, have to get that pattern.
I linked it in the description box.
Fantastic tip on the sashing, I’m gonna try it out soon.

Your quilt is beautiful
Thank you for the the sashing tips! I love my Brother PQ1500SL but hate the thread cutter too...it cuts way too short! Have fun at the coast! Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😊
I love the gnomes.
Quilt is awesome
I’m not going to lie...I laughed out loud at that top 😂
How did you learn to sew? Did you take a class or have a mentor? Thanks for all your tips? Have a great time with your hubby on your anniversary vacation. We will miss your videos though.😍🤔🚤
My mom was/is an amazing garment seamstress. She never quilted though. She didn't really teach me to sew, however I watched her for hours on end.
Happy July 4!!
Thanks Becky, Loved the quilt! Also liked your pin bracelet?? Where from?

Your video title startled me when I read it. It says Quiting Chat instead of Quilting Chat.
ACK!! Thank you for telling me! My spell checker didn't catch the typo (obviously!). I fixed it! YOU are a gem! :)
Hey Becky, it's Wednesday 1/29/2020
My suggestion,
Cut the top up and put it in a quilt.
That will be my last resort. As a watched my video as I edited it, I saw a wide-shouldered tank top. lol
Ohhhhhh yes DON'T cut your top. Great beach cover for picking sea glass. Maybe take it in on the side seams and wear with leggings. A tank top would be SEW perfect. Lots of options. Your top is NOT a fail- just a design opportunity.
Or Thrift It. Some other nice lady out there would LOVE a breezy seersucker blouse in her size for summer.
I love the thrift idea! Done!! Thank you!
What brand of thread do you use?
I use a mix of Isacord, Madiera Poly, and Floriani.
Doesn't soaking fabric in original Coke make fabric soften up?!!
Add darts to your blouse
It's a t-shirt! No darts in tshirts. :)

Wash it in Coke a Cola and it will make it soft
I'll try that! Thank you!
