Have you tried using a hairdryer on the shoulder itself on the body kun because heating up the inside of the bicep joint should allow the arm to be placed in and when the plastic cools it will maintain the correct shape of the joint . Because looking at the joint defect in the video it looks like an easy fix just with a bit of heat
Seems the arm just came off of the peg, just boil some water and put the arm in there, should soften the plastic enough to just push it back on the the arm without using glue, sick review btw! Love the accessories they come with
Just made an impulse buy from an IG ad on some bootlegs. Bad idea, I know, but I'm willing to put up with the flaws. If you have the time, resources, and know-how, DYI fixes arn't the end of the world; especially when on a budget. If someone plans on using these for more than poses, like stop-motion, then that requires more puppet management by default. Also this video was more entertaining to watch than it should have been lol thanks for sharing the comparison.
The old sh figuarts hardly compares to the new tekari rito edition. You see, the tekari rito edition comes with a new set of abs and a better ab crunch all together and the head gives off more of a manga look than the original. Both models are said to be for drawing references however i believe that they are actually templates for newer action figures. The only way i can sympethise with the old figure lies in its price. It is a lot cheaper in the UK compared to the new version and i personally own it; if they were the same price i would buy tekari rito though.
Research and buy from reputable shops with good reviews. I used to buy from NipponYasan but they've shut down after some questionable behaviours. Amiami and Hobbylink Japan are one of the more famous ones for buying original figures but I haven't bought from them yet. Most body-kuns are out of stock and selling for hundreds of dollars on ebay. I have the authentic 'original' body-kun but I want the Takarai Edition so bad so I can customize it. If there isn't a reissue of this figure I might just buy the ones on ebay selling for 160$(original price is 26$), thats how bad I want it.
You got ripped off, wish only carries bootlegs and even if youre okay with a knockoff there are cheaper prices and $40 is too much. This figure has been discontinued and legit figures are extremely overpriced now as genuine figures go for around $200.
You’re actually comparing different versions. The $10 is the simple version and the $100 one is the DX version. Not sure if you stated this in the video cause i’m just skipping around it
I had the original version of Body-kun (the $10 dollar one, I suppose?), and he’s pretty awesome! :D The only problem that I had with him was his left hand was very loose and it easily comes off... :( Any other than that was pretty much fine :) Edit: I just found out that it wasn’t his hand joints, it was the hand itself that was making it loose. Also, great review that you made! :D
“Good quality” *both arms snap*
Would it be possible to put them back together oh wait the arms snap of the the arm parts
I mean for the arm parts to come
These are two different edition. The $100 is the Takarai Edition. While the $10 is the Regular edition. There is an original of the $10
Great video! God bless you and yours praying for you!
Its like the protagonist next to the background character
It cost 20 dollars fore me on Amazon only the Maile by its self

You're so underrated!!
If you heat up the arm with a heat gun or boiling water you should easily be able to put the arm back in🙂👍
The first body-kun is the Takarai Rihito edition, the 2nd is a bootleg version of the original body-kun.

i love your videos you should be popular by now keep grinding and keep reaching your goal
Less definition is better for drawing reference. Since the muscle shapes change when you move.
This video was chill, fun and amazing. And cute... lol Joe is great
I have the original body kun and it has never had any of the issues that she has
yes, i simp for a grey figure toy
So the head’s not removable? Is it best to use the $10 kun for custom figures? Great video as well just subscribed to you!

Maybe try using a hair dryer or hot water for the arm to go in easier I think hot water would work or hair drying either of them h can choose

Ali express both are around 15 dollars so i´ll give it a try for that price -👍👍👍👍
Thanks for this comparison!!
Fun fact: the $10 body kun has less details because it’s used for poses and not for reviewing
I Will use mine for fight animations with my atlas destroyer figs
Thanks for this awesome video.
Just curious if you can tell me where to find the authentic Body Kun figures? I noticed that even the bootlegs have the Tamashii Nations logo.

The $10 link is dead.
I think the $100 was a Figma while the $10 was based off Bandai's version
No, figma one looks different
Nah both are Bandai's version. The 2nd body-kun is just a bootleg.

Ya I noticed that in the beginning when they looked different
No hablo takataka
You've got to have a little imagination when you're drawing and not be a total Caravaggio.

The original would be $100 I believe.
Well your comparing a 10 to 100 dollar figures so of course the 10 dollar one will be different and less detail cause it's 10 dollars
This vid is not pop at all
no its not, its akin to the great guzzler from nineteen forty foobles
dude, i had the same issues with mine
