It is more than 523, BMW always underestimate their cars. Like the M5 they say it has got 600hp, when I think it was Autotopnl ran it on dyno and did over 650hp. And this is just the M850i, it is NOT an M car. This is really fast to be a non M car, just look at the M140i etc, they aren't close to this.. Even 523hp is much, it is pretty ironic that you say it is weak..
That BMW has the least power - 523 of those three cars and lowest power-weight ratio and yet it manages to win drag races all the time. Does it mean Germans got their numbers wrong again?
Every single PERFORMANCE number Germans put on the cars is a worst case scenario Now if only they followed the same rule with economy & ecology of their engines primarily
Let the BMW stand on its own merits - don't put the Aston Martin and Bentley down to make the BMW look good, it's really unnecessary and rather childish, especially the "tinsel" remark.

Too short of power for a 4.4 V8 Twin Turbo, an engine of those characteristics should be able to develop 600+ HP.
well it is tuned for smoothness and same engine makes 625 horsepower in m5 competition pack
