    I absolutely love this tutorial! I’ve been hunting for Christmas ornaments, but all the textured ones I like never come in a batch and/or are too pricey. Thank you for this easy DIY that I think will even be fun to involve my niece in making. 💜

    I bought a packet of Das clay some time ago and never got around to using it. Now is the time. Thank you for clear instructions on how to make ornaments with it. Hope mine turn out half as good as yours.

      I’m sure they will, Deirdre! Make sure you keep the remaining clay sealed in an airtight bag or container so it doesn’t dry out. That way you can make another batch later if your ornaments don’t turn out like you want the first time. Have fun!

      Thanks, Rosaelina! I haven’t tried making jewelry from this. Polymer clay is a popular choice for jewelry because it is a little more durable. There’s no harm in trying with air dry clay, though!

      I suggest you start with something like the ornaments to get used to rolling the clay and making simple shapes. Then you can move onto the trinket dish. You can do this!🙌🏼

    Have you ever made Christmas tree decorations? Or gift tags? Valerie.

    • @FirstDayofHome
      @FirstDayofHome  2 года назад

      Hi Valerie. Yes, these are meant as Christmas tree decorations, and I’ve also used them as an accent on Christmas gifts. You could also write on the back of the ornaments with a paint pen if you want to add a message.

    Aside from the Angel being an Angel, I see nothing at all that looks like Christmas! For a botanical, they would fit a lot better. Sorry but these are not Christmas ornaments to me.

    • @FirstDayofHome

      Thanks for sharing your opinion, Jeannie. I’m just trying to be kind to others, help when and where I can, and encourage others. I’m sure you can relate? You might enjoy my salt dough ornaments better. They are in traditional Christmas shapes. These air dry clay ornaments are for people who like the natural/coastal aesthetic. You can also leave them white or paint them red if you like. Have a great Christmas!
