It's so obvious that you know EVERYTHING about what you're doing, just like your dad. I like watching your teardowns a little bit more for the reasons previously mentioned. You take it much slower.
No offense to Richard, but because he's done this a million times, he rushes through the process.
Just try to forget that we're watching you and your nervousness will disappear.
You're fantastic, like your dad with a very entertaining difference.
      Rock on!

Trent is doing a fantastic job in this video. And i'm glad to see that Richard realizes that Trent is the true future of the channel. Richard isn't going to rebuild transmissions forever... he's already done it forever. One day he will retire and I think it's very smart to be doing these transitional videos now and getting the audience used to Trent being the host in advance so that it's a smooth transition when the time comes. Richard knows Trent's hard work putting these videos together and publishing them to RUclips is worth something and he's making the absolute correct decisions now to help the channel thrive in the future.

Load springs yea toss in trash if a stock stack otherwise is good to use new ones but have to get special long ones when running the Alto Powerpacks or the Raybestos Z pack's. I only put in 3 of the 5 in a triangle pattern and it helps with the parasitic drag on the tighter tolerance stack up's. And yes watching him pry on that servo cover I was like ...... don't break the case homie..... been there done that back in the 80's

Yes, me too - I think the transmission between Richard to Trent will be smoothly automatic. ( Someone had to say it.) I'm still getting used to the idea that highly professional guys refer to "tear downs" - a term reserved for the cowboy inclined end of the demolition business rather than "dismantling" as us gentlemanly Brits would say. Even so, regardless of terminology - we have more than our fair share of rip-off merchants supplying rebuilt gearboxes and engines - I had a supposedly brand new engine from a main agent knock like hell on first firing and had to get legal with them to change it. Great work - always a pleasure to see a proper tradesman.

Richard/Cody you are both very knowledgeable and I enjoy watching your videos even though we use manual shifts in the UK but automatics are starting to get more popular in the more upmarket cars such as BMW, Mercedes and Lexus models. However, I am not always familiar with some of the terminology you use and sometimes you don't explain what affects the modifications you carry out have on the final performance of the transition which I am very interested to know as an engineer for example when you say you are going to pack out the servos....by how much and what will be the final outcome. If you have covered these points in a previous video then by all means point me to it. Finally, have you done any automatic transmissions from BMW, Mercedes and Lexus. Great work and all the best from the UK (Britain)

Getting rid of the cheats is inadvertently one of your responsibilities. I's sure the customer is Thanking Heaven for you guys. As a Design Engineer, I want you guys to explain yourselves as best you can in the short time the video allows. There is no such description as 'thing', 'this' or 'that', or 'this thing goes here'. Use descriptive words, not fluff. You guys do a great job & that's why I subscribed. Happy New Year & God Bless.

Good job Trent! Explained more of the basics for us less knowledgeable about transmission inner workings.
To me rebuilt is not as good as remanufactured. Rebuilt you only replace what is worn. Reman you replace all wear items. Rebuilt usually means you’ll get excessive and faster than normal wear because, a lot of things get only eyeballed and if it ain’t broke, you don’t replace it.
When a reman is done right, it’s the same or better than the original because it gets all the updates in addition to all new wear items.

@8:03 The term you are looking for is not "Retrofit" to furnish (something, such as a computer, airplane, or building) with new or modified parts or equipment not available or considered necessary at the time of manufacture. 2 : to install (new or modified parts or equipment) in something previously manufactured or constructed. but "interchangeable": (of two things) capable of being put or used in the place of each other:
    interchangeable symbols.

🤔 seemed a little unfocussed a minute or 2 in... After a fantastic opening presentation. Overall the best video I've seen Trent has done. A little repetition and everything will fall into place... Keep em coming 👍 ... Really enjoyed the video 👍
