Are we talking about a 2-3 year demand cycle or is this a "permanent" structural l change for agriculture. If China continues to source from the BRICs consortium and lowers the overall demand for US grains by 30% forever, how does the farmer plain for 2025 ? China provides farm equipment to Brazil, Argentina , Russia, Ukraine for about 1/4 the cost of US equipment manufacturers. There is a reason that farm equipment is going to auction - cash . I'm guessing that there is still 25% grains from 2024 unsold. Sure would like to hear some discussion on this.

Good questions. Perhaps I will have to pose some of this to Greg!

hoffrun - you are asking the right questions. I would recommend watching ‘Inside China Business’ but sound likes you may already.
Kevin had a a vid 4-5 months starting with JD and then expanding to discuss commodity prices and the future of global food demand.
To answer your original question the change is definitely permanent. Most farmers cannot begin to understand or comprehend that China has forever transformed the global agriculture landscape.
Again watch all of Kevin’s vids related to agriculture.
Insights you will not find anywhere else and will help give you guidance for the future.

@@filobeto1691 THANKS. I am already wired into the Inside China vids, which actually drove me to the US agricultural and farmer vids. I was attempting to determine if the typical US farmer is dialed into world events ---- or not. In typical US fashion , no one takes the time to, or has the time to do the research from all avenues. ALL of the ICB videos have something valuable to offer. Thanks for the response.

If you think 'China' has overturned the farm economy, just wait for the one party Marxist state with Camala's handlers pulling the levers - permanently.
