Emily, your hair looks very nice. Your passion is flowing naturally your in love with your environment caring for it provides the satisfaction you deserve.
Just discovered your channel by accident and i love it and as a fellow younger Wisconsin dairy farmer myself you dont have to apologize to anyone... we couldn't operate as a dairy without our heifer raisers either.
You our information is so detailed and very well said to a great extent of understanding. Lots of people haven’t an idea of what takes place. I grew up in the animal world and it’s very pleasing I believe. Thanks for sharing your videos and hope 😊to see more.
Great video and good luck with your channel. A very cool thing that other channels do is present and aerial view of the farm from a drone that shows the entire operation from fields to pasture to processing stages etc.. Anyway just a thought. Best of luck to you and your farm .
Great Video Emily, I'm a farmer from way back, I was a bank manager for 25 years between, that was a very interesting Video, you did very well how you treated each animal differently depending on their end use! thanks for sharing
I really enjoy these types of videos Emily, as it's not only entertaining but extremely informative as it relates to food quality. Something I think is missed by those who create farming videos. As I'm sure you know there is a huge difference in quality and health benefit between large food production operations and local farmers.
Thank you Emily! That was a very informative video. Until today I had no idea how many different areas were involved in the cattle side of the farm. You have a great deal to keep up with all the time.
Nice very informative video Emily... I have spent time on a large family farm operation near Warsaw, Ohio that was dairy focused and it was very similar except they milked around 100 cows daily... It was an almost fully automated system, and it was so cool... I loved my time spent there, cutting, thrashing, bailing hay, blowing wheat into silos, we hauled corn to the mill, burlap bagged the ground corn from the chute tied with twine and loaded back into the truck... Everything on this farm chickens, hogs, beef cattle, garden vegetables, dairy products milk, butter, cream, was all used there fresh... We had hand churned butter, homemade pies, bacon, ham, eggs, homemade jams, homemade bread, everything was so awesome... I miss it now after watching your video, really good memories and a fantastic work out everyday... When the sun went down and you had a shower you were ready for bed... Again Thanks Emily, I am sub'd and love all of the content... From Southwest, Ohio...😇
Emily I hope you can grow your wagu cross business to sell and ship online. There's a huge market out there and I woukd try some wagu ribeyes , brisket for the smoker.
Hi Emily I was raised on a dairy farm. The calf starter grain we used had the corn rolled pressed for easier and complete digestion. Calfs get more nutrition this way.❤❤😊😊
Hi Emily, fantastic video!! Always wondered what the whole operation was and now I know. Do you have a Patreon set up? Once again, you did a Great job!!! ✌️
@NewAgeCustomFarming have you tried parasitic wasps? They work well for our dairy farm. Also our urban milk feeder is in an enclosed so a little fly bomb controls the flies
I just subscribed to your channel last night & I just love cute little calves. They're so darn cute & you still go beautiful girl because you can do anything you set your mind too
Why did you guys choose the wagyu-holstein breed for beef vs wagyu crossed with angus, simmental or hereford for example? Just curious. Your channel has definitely been growing alot the last couple months, hard work is paying off.
Hey, Love you videos ever since I saw you wearing a AGR shirt. Just a recommendation, you could offer a RUclips membership that we could join to help support your creative efforts.
At time stamp 5:09 and 8:46 you show the type of dry feed you give the animals. I am wondering, why do you feed them whole kernel corn and not crushed. I thought that crushed will digest much better that whole feed. I am not a farmer just wondering.
Are there models of the feeders that are capable of feeding whole milk instead of powder? It seems that those models would need to have a much greater reservoir.
Not that I know of, there are milk taxis that you can put real milk into and feed calves in hutches with though. We also don’t have any milk on our farm so it wouldn’t work for us
@@NewAgeCustomFarming Have you seen that system that hangs from a rail and moves a single nipple along feeding a row of calves in single pens. It seems to get its water from an uncurling hose from some remote location. So it appears that milk could be delivered from a pasteurizer and records kept of each calves consumption. The best part would be that each calf would be offered milk on a set schedule and that would be much better for their digestion and growth. This would hold true for either powder or milk.
Are heifers pregnant by artificial insemination or by the old fashioned way and how is the choice of sire coordinated with the dairy? "Just askin' for a friend. . ."
Our family farm has survived through every presidential candidate since the 1840s, one newly elected official regardless of the party or who they are will change that. Our farm is resilient, just as is every other American farmer.
I went to work on another farm , leaving our farm at 14yrs old . It was my cousins farm , they raised wheat , corn , sweet corn , beets , string beans , cabbage , pumpkins , squash , and 175 head of veal calfs . The calfs were one of the worst jobs that I ever had in my life , PERIOD !!!!! we had a contract with a company to raise these day old calfs for 4 weeks then ship them out to slaughter , a Friday . Saturday and Sunday , we cleaned everything for 175 more calfs on Monday to do it for 4 more weeks . The reason why it was so horrible , was they were tied in a stall big to stand and , barely able to lay down . The reason for that was to make their muscles atrophy to stay tender . The powdered milk that we made twice a day had Terramycin and Neomycin to keep them anemic , so that their meat was lite .. Those poor thing in the summer would die from pneumonia . Sorry I wrote this Emily ..
Can you get the boys to explain if they could run a pro-charger on the pulling tractor or would it even work on the diesel engine and also could they not put a small bottle of NOS on the pullers to help them spool up faster

Excellent work friend best wishes super video best of luck nice sharing 🙏
Hello
thanks for very nice sharing
You are doing very well
keep it up
Thank you too
First vid I’ve watched of yours. Neat business model.
Hi Emily
I was raised on a dairy farm.
The calf starter grain we used had the corn rolled pressed for easier and complete digestion.
Calfs get more nutrition this way.❤❤😊😊
Yes! Having it cracked helps them
Roll press the corn is specifically more intended for younger calves.❤
@@edr7553 yes!
Thank you for sharing you are doing a good job there,
Awesome video keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!
Vermin must love that place.
Wow, she has the most beautiful eyes I have seen...they just sparkle...amazing...simply amazing!
Thanks for the tour
Hi Emily, fantastic video!! Always wondered what the whole operation was and now I know. Do you have a Patreon set up? Once again, you did a Great job!!! ✌️
I don't
Emily there are ways to control most of those flies in the robot room.
Believe me we know and have tried
@NewAgeCustomFarming have you tried parasitic wasps? They work well for our dairy farm. Also our urban milk feeder is in an enclosed so a little fly bomb controls the flies
I just subscribed to your channel last night & I just love cute little calves. They're so darn cute & you still go beautiful girl because you can do anything you set your mind too
Thanks for subbing!
good Holstein calves & heifers & gorgeous Wisconsin farmer girl #❤️❤️🇵🇰
Well done & very informative
Beautiful cattle farm.
excellent vid. for city folks you might want to explain what a steer, heifer, wagyu beef is.
Def giving Ritiual a try now
That was a great video and You do Your job well
AWESOME!

No problem!
great as always great content
Nice video!
Thanks!
영상 잘보고 갑니다
응원드립니다 계속 좋은 영상 기대할게요!!
That smile
Use to live on a Dairy Farm at Monticello Wisconsin.
Cool!
"coming to a table near you.." 🍔 lol
Very nice setup you guys have there on your farm . How many heifers do you custom raise and how many steers do you raise of your own?
Thanks for showing the calves. What is the mortality rate on the calves? Is Holstein/Waygu beef really better than angus?
Why did you guys choose the wagyu-holstein breed for beef vs wagyu crossed with angus, simmental or hereford for example? Just curious. Your channel has definitely been growing alot the last couple months, hard work is paying off.
We’re working with a local dairy farm to breed them and no one in our area is doing it so we want to offer a different meat product on the market
What do you do with the bull calves , do you castrate them or sell them as bulls
Hey, Love you videos ever since I saw you wearing a AGR shirt. Just a recommendation, you could offer a RUclips membership that we could join to help support your creative efforts.
Great idea
@@NewAgeCustomFarming Maybe offer out takes or bloopers with the youtube membership. You've already done the filming. Just a little more editing.
Members, not a good idea.
Do you do all the breeding of the heifers?
Where fid you get the calf feed troughs?
How long does it take to finish a wago cross steer?
We’re still trying to figure out the sweet spot! None of ours are finished yet but will be soon
So how are the heifers bred? Do you AI them or just put a bull in?
AI, no bulls on the farm
Good vidio
At time stamp 5:09 and 8:46 you show the type of dry feed you give the animals. I am wondering, why do you feed them whole kernel corn and not crushed. I thought that crushed will digest much better that whole feed. I am not a farmer just wondering.
Yes they can digest crushed or cracked corn better, this stuff is cracked enough for them to digest (we don’t see it out the other end)
Do you use I.A. Or a bull ?
Very interesting… very 21st century.
Are there models of the feeders that are capable of feeding whole milk instead of powder? It seems that those models would need to have a much greater reservoir.

Just curious. Was Avery or Mason in AGR.
Neither - I was friends in college with a bunch of agr guys
rare to medium rare
What state are you in?
Wisconsin
SUBSCRIIBE and Thumbs UP! Soooo easy to do and helps the channel/videos immensely.
Looks like there huge costs just with there formulas
Couldn't make it past the snake oil commercial

👍👌❤🇨🇦
Why is the corn not crushed in the mix? Won't it just pass thru the babies absorbing no nutrients from corn
Well by the looks of the end product they absorb the nutrients…
hello, is there a job vacancy for me to care for this cow?? I am Akbar, 26 years old from Indonesia
😁🥰👍👍👍👍
Are they AI or with a bull
AI
Hi! Who make the artificial insemination in the heifers? Thanks Emily!
How many dairy farms do you buy from and I assume you use AI on the heifers?
Are heifers pregnant by artificial insemination or by the old fashioned way and how is the choice of sire coordinated with the dairy? "Just askin' for a friend. . ."
Most farmers let their bulls do their thing!
Most farms including ourselves use AI, the same AI tech we have is who the dairy uses and they coordinate on the bulls
