Elvis had a great voice, could hold on to a note, and a very powerful voice too. No one compares to Elvis. Elvis was only one person, that sold out every concert he ever did. Sold over a billion records worldwide. I find it funny when someone tries to compare a band, to a solo artist, Elvis did not need a band, he did it on his own. The best that ever did it.
Great point. It could of been Charlie hodge, but don't quote me on that. Said Elvis you don't need all of this, talking about his orchestra in the Hawaii concert, Elvis said but I want it. So like you said, not that they were not good, they were very good, but Elvis didn't need all of them, it was what he wanted.

Elvis totally owned every song he did , All song writers wanted Elvis to record their material because they new it would be a big money maker ....He made every song his own ..I miss you every single day , without Elvis in my life my world would be as happy and bright as it is now.
This just happened to be playing when I was passing his gravesite in Graceland, on 8/16/80. Gone in body but his contributions remain forever.
