Thanks for making these tutorials. You have a gift for explaining each step clearly. I also love the sparkles you add to the videos at the end of each step. I hear a little “Yay!” In my head when I get to that point.
I just finished my figure 8 scarf. Loved your tutorial. Was easy to follow. Very informative. Would be easy for a beginner. You spoke clearly. No hands in the way. Good thing. Also good lighting. This was my first long loom project. I had only used a round loom until this project. I liked to thank you for helping me take knitting to another step.💙
Wow, your tutorial is amazing! It is so well explained! I love how you cover the whole project from cast on to bind off. Can’t wait to try making this scarf.
I made that scarf in a light blue colour and it came out super cute. Thank you very much for the tutorial. Can't wait to follow more of your projects :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial. It is very easy to follow and your techniques are so helpful. I just finished a project, it is vey beautiful and it is my first loom project.
I forgot to tell you if you want find more stitches just search in Spanish its called (Tulare con maya). Translation is loom knitting with yarn. Cant wait to see your future projects. Enjoy my looming friend.
Another great video and another fun project. I made a scarf for a gift and it looks great (complete with ends the same width!). Now, if I could get a finished row to sparkle like yours does. 😄
Thank you so much for the detailed instructions. I have countless tutorials and your tutorial is the best one I have seen and by far one that I can use with the confidence that my project is going to come out the way I expected. Do you have any tutorials on Beginners Crochet? I am interested and have tried some tutorials but get frustrated if you have one I would like to follow it, I feel I will have a better chance with success. Your training is appreciated🤗 Thank you!
I just wanted to say I really like your videos. This one in particular is a really nice design and it inspired me to try a hat using the same sort of mixed figure 8 stitch. It took a little figuring to get it right but it turns out if you use a loom with a number of pegs evenly divisible by 3 you can start out with the single-peg wrap and then end up with the "last" single peg wrap as the first single wrap of the next row. The only real concern I had was losing track of which was the double wrap and which was the single wrap, but it turns out the way the yarn from the previous row pops up a little bit between the posts of the double wrap makes it real easy to see which are which... I'm still working on it, but I can't wait to see how it turns out.
I’m subscribed to another loom knitter she only speaks Spanish but she’s awesome. Her name is Norelizz. I know your going to enjoy all the different stitch and pattern she creates. I know some others . Ill find their name n ill give you them. Enjoy
Thank you for a great video. Just a quick question, should a crochet finish be done to the cast on edge to better match the bind off? If yes, would we still tighten the cast on or leave it loose to have loops to crochet?
I personally prefer to avoid the crochet edge on the cast on. But if you like that look, by all means, go for it! In that case, don't tighten your cast on, so you have loose loops to work with.
@@hellomsyarn Thank you for the reply! I have used the crochet finish on other projects sometimes successfully but sometimes with disappointment. I am going to give your method a try!
Thanks ms yarn! Your videos are so informative!!! I'm a new subscriber and new to loom knitting! Will this pattern curl? I've crocheted for years, and I'm finding the curling of loom knitting really frustrating. Its so frustrating I'm almost to the point of giving up :-( I really want to love loom knitting because its much easier on my hands and fun! I just need to find a few great patterns that won't curl. Thanks again for your great videos!!
It's "double knit" when you're using two rows of a loom. These looms are called long looms, board looms or double rakes. In contrast, if you make a scarf using only one row of a long loom, or on a round loom, that's called a "flat panel" and it's "single knit."
Thanks for making these tutorials. You have a gift for explaining each step clearly. I also love the sparkles you add to the videos at the end of each step. I hear a little “Yay!” In my head when I get to that point.
Thanks for the kind words. It's also a "yay" for me because it means I've finished video editing that step!
Thank you for such a clear, easy to follow video. You cover the whole project from start to finish and the scarf is really lovely.
Thank you!

Amazing 👌
Thank you for this tutorial very beautiful pattern. I love loom knitting, can i make it in chunky wool.
Probably. You can make a small swatch and check that it has a good level of drape and airiness.

Appreciate the words of encouragement. No, this will not curl at all!
I love your scarf pattern and your tutorial. May I ask the width of this scarf so I will know if I need to add more stitches? Thank you kindly.
Hi it's 6 inches / 15 cm across. Thanks for your support.
Would this be the same for a blanket
Yes, you can use this stitch for a blanket.
How many yards of yarn did you use?
I would approximate the yardage to be 200 yards.
Why is it called double knitting?
It's "double knit" when you're using two rows of a loom. These looms are called long looms, board looms or double rakes. In contrast, if you make a scarf using only one row of a long loom, or on a round loom, that's called a "flat panel" and it's "single knit."
