Hi, thanks for sharing. My Dad's kalimba doesn't have all the high notes or the sharps, so I just played the high 1 on those and the 3 instead of the 3#. It sounded okay, like a background, instead of the main melody.

Do you mean the upper layer? Usually when you buy a new kalimba, it will comes with an instructions about the notes and some music sheets... Maybe you can try and follow it?
