Can you tell me why the finishing is so unorthodox and not just like veer steps floaters and stuff like that genuine question I guess you could say I like to know how my training affects my game instead of training blindly
Absolutely man! Good question and I’m glad you like to look deeper into it. Here’s the thing: when we’re training by ourselves, finishes like veer steps are super easy compared to how they’ll be in the game. We don’t have contact. We don’t have someone trying to block us. So unless you’re a beginner, you’re not getting much challenge out of it. And since we need challenge to improve, I’m finding ways to challenge players by training QUALITIES that will apply to you guys’ games (body control, touch, etc) rather than super simple, on-air finishes that don’t provide much challenge. Hopefully that makes sense
can I still implement this if I am a very oversized guard, I am 6 ft, 14 years old but I live in the Philippines where everyone is small so people tell me to play 4 or 5 even when I play with adults. I want to go to college in Canada or us where I will probably be a guard. I think I will be 6,2 or 6,3 when I am older because my dad is 5,11 and my mom is 5,1. I grew because I hit puberty early and had really good eating and sleeping habits
@@ByAnyMeansBasketball im askingif it worth it or if its just stuff u could find on youtube no disrespect to you im just not the guy to waste money im not the richest guy if u get me

Basketball 🏀
Basketball 😭
Can you do a video like this for stronger/bigger guards teaching them how to leverage their strength?
i think you just need to back defenders down or drive directly into their chest to bump them off the court for an easy layup.
Get down hill use your body and post up
This is a really great workout and I’m 5’11
Please keep making workout videos
Please make a video that describes what basketball you use and why. What basketballs are for beginner levels and which are for pros.
This is irrelevant. All that matters is size. 28.5 for youth etc
Size 7 29.5 is the standard and what u will use 99% of the time. Anything else is for children, women, or to practise dunks
@@ry_an. That and 3lb balls for handles, passing and maybe finishing
Great video! Thank you and your team for this.
Can you make a video on how to create contact while driving to get in front of the defender in a 1v1 situation
Watch this explanation by Drew Hanlen, might help ruclips.net/video/Bl-Ql6vq0NI/видео.html
Thank you! This helps me a lot!
I’m 5,11 and this is really helpful
