As one of your older viewers (I guess at 41yo) the ISAB lore and shout out to the black and white gameboy felt like a warm hug. And yes, the kids have it easy these days. 😅 I've just recently introduced btd6 to my 7yo son. Now passing on the TD knowledge I've gathered since Flash Element TD back in 2007. 🙌🏼
i think btd6 could be played with a gameboy as the controller. itd be super clunky but moving the cursor with the dpad; clicking with a; and then maybe b could change you into a 'selection" mode where instead of the cursor; it highlights something in the menus youre on and the dpad moves for that; like with nothing itd go to the abilities and tower sidebar; when on a tower itd go up and down for upgrades; selling and targetting; etc itd almost certainly feel awful to play but itd be doable i think
*Technically,* provided you don't need precise timings (like with rhythm games, platformers, action games, actually quite a lot) you can play any game using just two buttons. One button switches the selected action, the other button activates (you can scale this down to one button, two, but that's just unrealistic). This can, in fact, generalize to any game on any input device I'm aware of.
Fun Fact: Magis Perfectus is perfectly allowed in this challenge since it and its Tier 5s all have a Monkey's face. VTSG is also possible (assuming no CHIMPS), but hard, due to being forced to spam SMFCs and MIBs.
New ISAB lore drop? Fucking epic, always makes me smile when he talks about his life like that :) see you guys next year when the next small bit of ISAB trivia drops (Also I love the fun edits in the beginning, I can tell whoever was editing them was having a bunch of fun with it)
I still have my gameboy advanced SP with the original metroid zero mission cartridge, and that too took me years to beat, but now whenever i play that, i can finish the game within an hour, and that has grown into an addiction
I remember when I was a kid and went to a vacation with my parents there was this one kid that had a gameboy and that's probably the first time I experienced jealousy 😂 I thought this kid was the luckiest kid in the world, gameboy at the time seemed like technology reached its peak. 20-ish years later and here we are, I'm watching this video on a device that's eons ahead of a gameboy
Funny enough I still own a Game Boy Color. My dad passed it down to me with some games and my favorite was TLOZ, Link's Awakening DX, still own it to this day
back in my day we didnt have a prince if darkness when i was playing btd6 we used soulbind now you kids have your corvus spells but when i was growing up i got a wizard to get extra lives
@ISAB please do a all heroes challenge (if there's a mod) 🙏. Also Merry Christmas and happy new year 🎊😊 Edit: finding how every heroes work together plus adding the new hero khorvus
i commented this probably a year or two ago but ill throw it back out again at the chance it gets seen. a new challenge idea; any game mode, any tower, but when you place a new tower, you can no longer upgrade any tower you placed before it. example, you place then upgrade a 1-0-0 dart monkey, then you place a druid, you can never upgrade that 1-0-0 dart monkey again, only the druid, until you place a new tower.

Dang I was too late²
Always will be
Actually it would “wait, it’s all monke?” not “it’s all monke?” 🤓
at 6:29 the final round changes from 120 to 140 and the towers move, implying that ISAB redid the entire challenge off screen.
Oof, guess that just shows his dedication to the monke.

It's kinda cute seeing isab talking about of himself in the past, that Gameboy talk made my day

Thanks ISAB for returning to monke
The ISAB monke was there since the beginning 🐒
The editing this video did not go unnoticed and is nice to see👍🏼

What about the power of the Gameboy? Can a system that old handle this game?
@@dragonclaw4159It obviously couldn't play the game but they said using it as a controller.

I love how ISAB made that couple transitions in the beginning with monkeys and then get tired
Spiff and many other content creators: 'CHIMPS with no chimps'
ISAB: 'CHIMPS but only chimps'
2:30 "was that the gameboy from 1987!?"

Love the extra little bits of editing you threw in this video, Nick, adds a lot of charm ❤

fitting Monkey meadow in very way possible is the "can it run doom?" version of map editor
Isab really knows how to use and abuse Pat Fusty so inspirational

the beginning transitions was so cool
seeing the extra editing from nick was an extreme suprise but a great one!
Super Mario Land for the Gameboy was my first videogame too!
Btd6 on xbox is pretty interesting. Currently have 5 black borders all on beginner maps and completed a 2 megapops with B.E.Z on resort
i love the new editing style ,it's pretty fun
Love the videos man. Keep it up❤
I still have my gameboy advance and the original donkey Kong Country cartridge from when i was 6. Best game I ever owned other than btd6;)
back in my day we didnt have a prince if darkness when i was playing btd6 we used soulbind now you kids have your corvus spells but when i was growing up i got a wizard to get extra lives
Love the transitions at the beginning!
I grew up mostly playing on the Wii, however I was able to play Pokemon on the gameboy.
crazy how at 15:38 he says "guys is this lost" and the monkeys fit the format of loss
It makes sense that the episode where isab returns to monke is the one where he talks about the history of things that used to be less developed.
Just wanted to let you know Isab, someone made an adder in btd6 (for context an adder is the most basic component for a calculator)
There is a gameboy in my hand while watching this. Been working on a pokemon sapphire living dex.
Nice editing in the beginning! Definitely not anything mind-blowing, but a little effort goes a long way into the quality of a video. Loved it!
The early video edits were noticed and appreciated 👌
Great editing at the beginning!
Like K, upgrades with monkey in their name, you have to allow 552 wizard instead of 222 wizard.
“I was using and abusing pat” 6:41
Poor pat 🙊
xbox btd6 can be described with only "we have bloons at home"
Experimenting with some extra editing? Very cool :D
I love my doses of rare ISAB lore
nice transitions
loved the editing in the intro
i love your videos mr isab, please keep dropping more lore cuz i am here for THAT!!
You should try a challenge but with towers that have long descriptions, i.e. glaive lord and bomb blitz
Fun fact; most bloon upgrades are the ones having utility, most monkey upgrades are indeed damage focused.
Daym this is the second time (I think) we got ISAB lore
These transitions at the beginning 🔥
Thank you ISAB for dropping this absolute banger
Another incredible challenge my ISAB. Love it so so much.
Ooo nice transitions!!!
Love the editing 😭
Gg for the editing
It does say that the editor was Nick
Me: is that TCNICK3 ?😂
The b.e.z has a few pixels of brown which means you should have included it (or maybe thats his hair idk)
Funny transitions, not necessary, but really goooood
Honestly, I don't know if the Gameboy is powerful enough for this game. It's a really old system.
What a game boy? Is that like a game where you call and play with your friends?
ISAB finally hired an editor after hundreds of videos
The BTD Xbox is quite hard lmao...
mapping your buttons is confusing but it can allow for some pretty nutty stuff
