I really should have sent you a short clip of me flying the C120 really...then again maybe its not mundane enough of a task for the video. To be honest I couldn't have summed it up any better.
Many transgender identify as the gender they pursue at an early age. Shame people are so closed minded to not realize that if they allowed children to transition at earlier ages this would normalize those who transition. Imagine if we allowed an 8 year to go to school and identify as their gender of choice. After a couple years they could get on hormone blockers to make certain they really do want to pursue transition before they get on hormones and receive surgery. If we allowed them to receive surgery before high school, they can socially fit in with the gender of choice. Unfortunately we push for people to transition when their older, so people don't see any one transition until after school. Since this isn't something people grew up with, it makes it seeing people you knew one way transform as weird. Trans-individuals become alienated as friends and family feel as though their friend or family member had killed the person they replaced instead of transitioning into a person who better matches how they feel. People who are not Transgender may get upset but Trans people should have a choice with the decision they make with their body and for those who say what if they change their mind? Well, we need the freedom to make mistakes this is why we should allow children to explore their identity instead of placing children into social cages.
has anyone considered that trans gender is the opposite of gay, like.. I do not identify as gay at all, even though I have had gay sex but... I really don't even like men... Gay or straight, well I havent been with a straight person... just weird... and then again maybe i am just weirder but... weird hyper sexual male attracted men... And... Have never been attracted to any of them or any of the women I have been with either...
ok so ... 3:07 somethign to add is i just realized... I may want a like prince charming straight guy and not at all gay guy and not at all sexualized... hmm i want non sexualized straight men if a relationship could be possible or ok so this is just me saying it ... and have never put this idea together before... i wonder if you can be tricked in to having a hought like this...... Like... I may even dislike gay people... and even the LGBTQ community... Like, if I am trans a not just a girl in a guys body... I wish the T could be removed and not because there is anything wrong with being gay but... Sexuality is such an irrelevant concept to me... Lesbian is your attraction to other gay is and bi and straight and queer... but Trans is ... About your self and how YOU are with YOU... is how I feel, it is about you and how you see and are attracted to and want to be YOU not about your attration to OTHER... Like, does this make sense and has anyone ever thought this? Like, ONE OF THESE THINGS IS NO LIEK THE OTHER.......... I really... I hope anyone can share their thoughts, even if you have not shared this thought... What do you think of my thinking of it like this?
Equality scares no one (except the racist whack jobs who are overt in their hatred). Forced concepts at the expense of whole groups, however, is not equality.
@@joshuamoon9312 Well, the military thing for one. Some in our community were pissed off over the military transgender ban. Opponents of the ban said it’s about equality, but it’s not. A transwoman like myself would be disqualified for service based solely upon any one of her surgical procedures to be her true self. I have a friend and former coworker disqualified from joining the Navy because of minor knee surgery. I think you can agree that my gender confirmation surgery is a bit more involved that minor knee surgery. And that’s just one of the 4 surgeries I’ll be needing.
Thanks Claire. I know as a white straight man I have it pretty easy in many ways and I'm genuinely grateful to people like you who educate me on the various ways that the world is not equal. And I didn't know about the UK issue, thanks for raising that, I will try to be more aware of these issues.
I wouldn’t call having it be fashionable for everyone to openly hate you for your skin color and sexuality “having it easy.” Minority groups have had to deal with hatred over a long period of time, but we as a species have largely progressed past that. However we as a species...at least a small subset of us... have decided it’s “okay” to hate straight white men for... I guess retaliation.
