Francis Albert Sinatra, what a man. One of the best singers and my favorite singer. My favorite albums are Swing Easy, Sinatra ‘65, Come Dance With Me, That’s Life and This Is Sinatra. Those are all great albums of his.

The Concert Sinatra is my favorite album. I'm probably the only (early) Millennial I know who listens to Sinatra. I love his music. He was a storyteller as a singer.

Tavis, I have Sinatra's entire discography digitized on my computer, from his RCA days, all the way through Columbia, Capitol, and ending with Reprise. I also have the vinyl, but I don't get access to the turntable too much with 2 kids. Lol. I make it a point to listen to Frank every day. There is, and has never been, anyone better.

Hi Tavis , i highly recommend the albums Frank Sinatra did for Capitol records , like " Songs for young lovers" (1954) " In the wee small hours" (1955) " Swing easy" (1955) " Songs for swingin lovers" (1956) " A swingin affair" (1956) and " Come fly with me" (1958)

Amazing collection, I see that you have most Sinatra's Reprise era albums, I recommend the album "In The Wee Small Hours" or even the box set with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra "The Song is You", you won't regret it, cheers 👍

Tavis, you my brother...are one of us. The hardcore Francis Albert Sinatra lover. As a proud owner of EVERYTHING that frank has ever recorded (V-discs, Columbia, Capitol, Reprise, live bootleg, etc..) your passion is very contagious. I can’t even begin to comment on the albums you held up. Jobim, Basie, Riddle, Billy May... I will finish with this, the album you held up last, Come Dance With Me would probably end up as a top 5 for me. That’s an album you play every song. Small note: The bonus cuts added later on are not too bad as well. As far as Bill Basie... a rule of thumb I use when it comes to him and the band is, take a frank song and sprinkle in some Basie and now you have a masterpiece. I do think there should be an honorable mention of The Strangers album and The Wee Small Hours album. If you’ve never sampled make sure you do. Both completely different albums all together. Thanks for sharing.

Tavis, that cover was so so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your talent with us! Appreciate you recording in your classroom. My mom is also an educator and I know how difficult it is to be an educator at this time, so thank you for dedication!! Also, Frank Sinatra is always always good! :)

Tavis, As a kid, I wouldn't give anyone the time of day when they brought up Frank Sinatra, the singer. But his music was ever present floating threw the air I was breathing and unbeknownst to me his music was taking root deeply within me. Now, at 70 I fully realize just how great a talent this guy was and I'll be dammed but without making any conscious attempt I pretty much know the lyrics to every song he ever recorded. In many ways, he stands alone on top of the mountain. I could be talked into letting some other great singers stand beside him on top but any expecting to be considered above him, good luck to them with that fantasy.

@@vinyltalkwithtavis3145 My pleasure, Tavis. Thanks for keeping the great music alive. Someone must do it so others can experience the treasures that we had. Riches that may never be matched. A current great joy for me is reliving the glorious music of our youth by watching current Reactors of all colors here on YT as their eyes in discovery light up at what they missed because they were gifted not much of any remotely similar value. Better late than never they have discovered legit gold. They know it. They appreciate it. They want more. Except for the many barren rabbit holes they'll be sidetracked into, the payoffs will convince them their time has been well spent. Our exact same cost and conclusion.

In the middle of a documentary about Frank Sinatra as I type this!
Being a collective soul I cannot wait to start down this pathway below. What a catalog of work!

BTW, thanks for the heads up about his personality. I can def relate! Might be why I'm drawn to him as strongly as I am.
    Go Chiefs!

I have that Cole Porter one too! It’s a really nice album to have on vinyl especially since i did theatre in high school 🤣. I’ve always wanted to get the Count Basie one but I can never find it! Maybe one day haha. For Sinatra albums, I recommend “In the Wee Small Hours”. It’s a gloomier album buts it’s said to be one of the first concept albums. I will say this though: it is harder to find an older copy on vinyl. I got lucky and found a 70s reissue thrifting one time lol. Great video!
