To get the money out of the colonel you slide a thin knife in the slot and slowly tip it , the coins land on the knife blade and will slide out. When I was young all our money boxes were like this but with practice we all learnt how to do it. Good luck.
Alex, that Coca Cola can grill was never in the Coca Cola catalog. It was gifted to employee's at their annual Christmas party. I'd say it's worth to a collector today would be worth way over $500. That's a rare find.
A great load of good stuff! Appreciate that you give us a value of what some of these things are worth so when we go to a garage sale we know what to look for and what a good price wood be. This adds considerable value to this channel, IMHO.
Excellent pick, you had some great scores. I know that feeling of looking something up and seeing it's worth way more than expected. That feeling is what keeps us reseller type people going
The one harley sign had an autograph on it… i was going to suggest for the colonel sanders banks, sometimes you can take a butterknife and shake the container with the knife in the coin slot, and the coins will come out.
I dearly love that old ferris wheel toy. Way, way cool on that. Love those cool knives. And that ragged ass road sign would go great with my diecast collection. Too bad we aern't close to each other. I would to buy that sign. Greart video. Thanks for sharing with us.
The rain gauge is absolutely essential for farmers. Grew up with dad racing outside to see how many points of rain we had over night. It was relevant as to what equipment could be used for the day week. Is it dry? Had we had enough rain to make the crops grow, or is it a drought, And when to sow.. Don't underestimate the rain gauge. They are an essential piece of kit used today ...
Geez Alex everytime I watch one of your videos I get so sad that I didn't get to visit your store, I am such a community oriented person and love talking to people. And you seem like such amazing people. I'll always be a fan.
Great finds there 👍 And yeah, always buy coin banks if there’s coins in them regardless of the bank. Grammas & Grandpas often drop the good stuff in there.
Ah yes, the Stony Plain Hotel . . . I remember going there on more than one occasion for Friday Happy Hour, a $1 a drink, the waitress just carried a tray of drinks, and gave you what you ordered from it, no such thing as a tab, we all just threw some money in a pile in the middle of the table . . . oddly enough I never remember leaving there though . . .
Alex, My parents were born in the 1930’s and ALWAYS had a rain gauge. Not sure why the obsession with how much rain they got, but it was a thing for them. 😊
Your parents were obviously gardeners and grew a lot of their food. I garden as well and a rain gauge is a VERY handy tool to let me know whether or note I should adjust my watering routine based on the rainfall.
My first job was at A&W when I was 14. Back in the early 80’s when you could get a job at that age without having to get a permit because you were under age. Hated when it was my day to work the car hop on skates!
I have been to many estate sales that were run like yard sales just with higher end items and high prices. Any A&W pedal cars I have seen at the restaurants where there for display only. I only ever saw one at an auction. Too bad you didn't get the box for the pedal car. You should be taking your truck. Better to have too much room for things than not enough. I always did good selling tin toys and there are several toy groups on FB with members posting the tin toys they buy and there are lots of them. Looking forward to the Beetle Juice sequel should be fun. A great haul and all the Harley parts that should at least triple your purchase price and the rest is gravy. Love the ferris wheel very cool.
To get the coins out all you need to do is, get a regular butter knife and insert the knife into the coin slot, gently manipulate until the coins balance on the knife and you can remove them. It takes a little time but the bank stays intact
I love watching your videos. I wish I could bid on some of the auctions afterwards, but I couldn't afford the shipping to the US. LOL However, you inspired me to haunt my local estate auctions and sales for fun stuff, some of which I resell. Thank you for your fun inspiration!
I’m in Indiana USA , estate sale, garage sale, rummage sale, yard sale are all used for the same thing. It cracks me up when an estate sale is listed and it is in a mobile home park.
An estate sale is not a garage, rummage, or yard sale. A garage, rummage, or yard sale features the seller's unneeded items. The "estate" in an estate sale refers the person's personal belongings, very often sold after a person's death, and has nothing to do with the building in which the person lived.
Been watching your channel for about a month. I really like your walk through and item by item descriptions. I am learning a lot. Oh, and you resemble my cousin Bob, a lot.
Rick Fairless @ Stroker's in Dallas Tx would probably buy the lot of HD items and he's a fair person and good guy. He has amazing bikes and loves to horse trade as well. ;) Love the channel.
Had I of been in the USA I would have been very interested in that Harley Davidson, darker coloured seat. But I think it would be very expensive to send to me in the UK. Really liked that. 👍
If I could I'd totally buy the skull n bones motorcycle shaker set for my bf in BC. He'd more than likely love it. If it would be up for sale that is. He'd probably also love the texaco set.
We have the first A&W root beer stand that still exists in Lake George , NY they were car hops that were roller skating waitresses her whe I was very young ❤❤😂
What is a Rennet Dessert? I'll never understand how three oil cans could be worth $150. I trust you Alex on the price but I just don't understand why a person would want those. You made out like a Bandit on the Harley Parts! The pedal cars are very cute and should sell well. It's nice to see that there were silver quarters in the Colonels Sanders banks. This was one of the best unboxing estate sale finds I've seen in awhile! Thanks!
That orange pedal car is a reproduction of a fire truck that was produced in the late 1940's through the mid 1950's. I had a car version back in those years. The front end resembles a Chevy of the same vintage. My sister in law (born in the early 60's) had an updated fire truck that resembled a Ford of the late 50's with tail fins.
Rennet is a coagulator used to make cheese but it's also used to make a West of England pudding from the liquid left after making clotted cream from whole milk. It is derived from a stomach from a suckling calf!
I'm glad somebody's out there scoring. Even the estate sales here have been dry bones. I think they're sending anything good to auction and selling the leftovers.
The 2024 Sturgis motorcycle rally starts the first part of Aigust in Sturgis, North Dakota. Also Gas Monkey garage is opening a shop there and I bet you could sell all that Harley stuff there in one trip..
That was what I call a real haul!!!
To get the money out of the colonel you slide a thin knife in the slot and slowly tip it , the coins land on the knife blade and will slide out. When I was young all our money boxes were like this but with practice we all learnt how to do it. Good luck.
I just commented this! Hahhaa
A nail file works too.

Tip: Don't leave the box - flatten it with a couple of box cutter snips on tape. You have room for a flat box to put back in shape later.
don't ever leave the box. original packaging can double the value.
I love your unboxing treasure videos. Thank you!

Awesome finds today! Hands down my favorite piece is the Ferris wheel. So cool and in great condition.
The one harley sign had an autograph on it… i was going to suggest for the colonel sanders banks, sometimes you can take a butterknife and shake the container with the knife in the coin slot, and the coins will come out.

i noticed the frozen custard on it
Great stuff. All that silver!
Another interesting haul. I love when you get more than you bargained for, in a good way.
Right on!! Great score. I think youll do very well.

Wow scored on the parts. I had on of those stools. The are surprisingly comfortable.

I love tin toys. Had so much playing with them in the 60s. Wish I still had them. That was a really cool haul. Hope to see more. Have a nice day
You are always so lucky when you go to these estate sales.
I appreciate your humor
Alex, My parents were born in the 1930’s and ALWAYS had a rain gauge. Not sure why the obsession with how much rain they got, but it was a thing for them. 😊
People used to grow alot more of their food at home.. Good to know how much rain to adjust watering
Your parents were obviously gardeners and grew a lot of their food. I garden as well and a rain gauge is a VERY handy tool to let me know whether or note I should adjust my watering routine based on the rainfall.
I always enjoy your videos.
😊
I love it when you are hunting through the houses, how come we never see that anymore.
Many people aren't particularly enthusiastic about a stranger filming the interior of their homes.
Always waiting for your next video ❤😊
You find the coolest stuff.
I enjoy watching your unboxing all the treasures you fine.
My first job was at A&W when I was 14. Back in the early 80’s when you could get a job at that age without having to get a permit because you were under age. Hated when it was my day to work the car hop on skates!
Great haul. Nice score on the Harley stuff and good ole Colonel Sanders❤😊
Love the unboxing/discovering random treasures discovery videos, Thanks for posting.
Great haul!! well done
Great haul! Such fun to see the treasures.

Wow what a great find. I love all the old toys.

A great bunch of stuff. On to the next adventure.
Interesting haul.....cool on the $ in the Colonel Saunders bank....
Now Alex you find a whole lotta knick knacks but how many paddy whacks have you come across? lol
Fun to see. You’ll get a lot of your investment back using the stamps for shipping. The prices though! Half the package will be covered in stamps!
What a great haul you made !!
I was thinking for when the box won't fit, why not just flatten it, then it will.
Fascinating collection of things. Thanks!
Use a knife in the slot to get coins to slide out on it. Did it all the time as a kid!
Been watching your channel for about a month. I really like your walk through and item by item descriptions. I am learning a lot. Oh, and you resemble my cousin Bob, a lot.

Super fun unboxing your treasures

Remember the episode of little house where harriot turned down colonal sanders. 😂 that was a good one.
I still have that Beetlejuice doll and I wish I still had my Stimpy plushy.😊
Awesome stuff Alex 😊
Thank you for the video 🙏
❤😊wow cool finds😎
Farris wheel was Awesome 🍊🐊🌞
I think you did extremely well!👌🏻
Had I of been in the USA I would have been very interested in that Harley Davidson, darker coloured seat. But I think it would be very expensive to send to me in the UK. Really liked that. 👍
I like that coka cola grill is really neat
Love the A&W pedal car!
Great haul Alex....happy for you!! ❤
Great score!
Nice score !

He'd probably also love the texaco set.
some great finds there
Great haul. Could you not have carefully flattened the box and then reassembled it when you got home? 😊
Glad you got thr coins.
A&w Root beer enjoy that place there's still a few of them around
You do not have to cut the banks open. You can slide a butter knife into the slot and get the money out by sliding it down the blade as you shake it
Excellent
We have the first A&W root beer stand that still exists in Lake George , NY they were car hops that were roller skating waitresses her whe I was very young ❤❤😂

Rennet from calves hooves was used as gelatin in food!
Hoping you’ll do another hoarders house or renovation x
Nice haul...I think that Beetle Juice doll is more like $100-$200 US
Hi Alex 👋🏽

Thanks! I just asked that. So . . . . they take the stomach out of a little baby calf? 🤢😥
What a score!
I'm glad somebody's out there scoring. Even the estate sales here have been dry bones. I think they're sending anything good to auction and selling the leftovers.
Awesome ❤
Good haul
Double check the exhaust pipes, people put the stock ones back in the box after putting the new ones on.
Next time with a box open it up and flatten it you would have been able to stand things on a flat box
The A&W car is super cool. I could see myself fork over money for it and then be embarrassed when my spouse found out.
I like the Vespa. It looks Barbie size:)
use a thin knife blade and slide the coins out thru the slot
That beetlejuice doll can 100% sell for more than 60$.
Ive seen them go for 100+
I had rennet as a child when I had my tonsillectomy. I thought it was wonderful stuff.
Nice Haul!
NICE !!!!!
I got the year right on the atlas!
👍
The flute is likely sterling... check for a marking. Likley worth $1500+ US dollars
The 2024 Sturgis motorcycle rally starts the first part of Aigust in Sturgis, North Dakota. Also Gas Monkey garage is opening a shop there and I bet you could sell all that Harley stuff there in one trip..
SOUTH Dakota
Good!
Great finds Beetlejuice on EBay for $220
The toy truck s are fun
Ill ya Kuryakin was played by David McCallum on the show Man From U.N.C.L.E.
Tartaria might still be on that World Atlas!
