Chelsea's away kits in the 90s were YUK! Graphite and tangerine! Yellow with black stripes, and the stripes had pale blue pin stripe in them! The white granddad shirts with red stripes went down like a lead balloon with the fans, and that's before we talk abaout the yellow and blue pyjama kit!
Yes my point being is with retired players. Who have played the game and have had a decent or excellent career. Micheal Owen would be a nice shout now.
Lovely man. My friend’s young brother was just coming through at Northampton as a centre back and marked Zola ina pre-season friendly. Zola talked him through the whole game, advising him on positioning and things. Brilliant player, generous man
That Chelsea side of the late 90s were great to watch. Obviously subsequent Chelsea teams raised the bar but I'm sure Chelsea fans remember those days fondly

Thanks for this BT Sports and Classic Football Shirts. I come from the same island where Zola is from and it makes me really happy when I read all the comments saying he's been one of the best. Great player and great person!
My dad is Sardinian , he must be the only one in the part of England we live 😂 I’m a united fan but due to zola being a sardo he was my fav ever player
what a real gentleman he is . great to watch on the pitch for his skills and his demeanor/attitude. that time was a great period of time for football . watching him celebrate when he (or his fellow player) scored looked like a celebration of joy. today it seems to be a celebration of ego. but of course i may be saying that because i am old(er)

Ive been a long-suffering fan of Ipswich TFC, and in 2001 in the prem, at Portman rd Chelsea came with Zola, a man i loved as a player since his early days at Napoli, and shined at Parma, was great to see him in the flesh yet for some of the fans calling him "Herman Munster", I was saddened that although it was just Fans banter, those fans didn't deserve to watch such a talent, unlike those fans, he has made a legacy and was one of the first benchmarks of a truly great influx of great foreign players. Truly world class, and a classy gent as well.
Finally someone that is worth doing this video, no point doing it with young players because they basically have nothing to show. Found the right person to do this with I absolutely love Zola!
Got to love how understated and modest he is. What a legend! Cannavaro and Terry were going to do ‘something important.’ He means become football legends!

That comment on Buffon... Pure gold... Zola could have done the entire show with profanities and yet it would have been great... Zola the best CFC player ever ....
Zola, a very engaging and likable man ...presenter on the point and respectfully engaging ...90-to mid 2000s were the last decade of proper football played by men...unlike today's boring vagabonds.
God the 90’s kits were so sick
