when you use it in duffel mode, does the shouder strap removable or hideable?
It used to be $675 but the price went up for all tumi products recently.
Just ordered. It's on sale for $579. I had some credit cards points so I ended up getting it in the low $300s

Does it fit underseat airplane? How is the padding. Is it thick or thin?
Yes fits fine under the seat unless t’s really packed out. But with just a weekend of clothes, my toiletry bag and a couple tech cubes it still fits fine under the seat. The padding is not great. The outer shell is just the lining. No cushion to speak as this would make the bag really thick when packed. I do wish it had a little more cushion around the laptop sleeve, but I understand why it doesn’t have that much either. Would just be overly thick if it had more cushion. I like the bag. But not loving it as much as I though I would. Still my go to travel bag for the moment because of the shear space it has available at any moment.

Great backpack. I’ll look to getting this. It’s like a luggage so travel light. 🫶 Please don’t cut the cover out though 😭
