Only need 8 of these. Studio monitors aren't a necessity and if you're "room" isn't treated well then you're better off mixing with headphones as the monitors will give u a false representation of the true sound. And u don't need a midi keyboard/interface
I watched many videos about this. But you are special you make easy to understand.and three more things are you heart, face and your words are all the same. Thank you bro
Imagine if there was a trusted honor system to have this sent to me for benefits of bringing community's, friends, and ultimately humanity back in harmony.🥰
1.PC (any type)(Macs are too expensive and good pc can do a lot more things) 2.Audio interface + microphone 3.recording end editing software (You can get DAW but you can also get Audacity and do everything in that) 4.any midi sequencer and some vsts (you need sequencer to make sequences that you directly record to audacity) 5.Hardware synths and other real instruments (software ones are good for a short time but the hardware ones are always great) 6.stompboxes (analog efects)
I have found everything I need in one premade gadget and I am so glad I didn't overcomplicated this new step for me. It is Naru station from Music computing
I appreciate the brevity of laying out the essentials, AND think it's worth mentioning room treatment and sound proofing. If you put all of this gear in a room with no absorption or deflection, you'll be limited in your ability to accurately mix.
i just want to say:THANK YOU!!! with you i can produce Romanian music called “manele” i can make my own money.. i can’t describe my happy right now.. thank you.. GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY!❤️❤️
One of the most important and least talked about necessities is a ups battery backup, like an APC. You'll know why the first time your power goes out and your speakers pop and you lose all your progress (or potentially damage your gear) You'll also consume less electricity and keep the energy flow consistent. Which will save you money and make your system less noisy during minor power spikes. It's honestly pretty stupid not to have one. Every decent engineer I've ever met wouldn't dare turn their gear on without it
What about room treatment(s) and/or vocal booth. Is it detrimental to digital recording as much as the old analog days? Informative video though! Thanks.🎶
Thanks pal well frankly saying you're my guide to start my career promptly But still I need some clarity in couple of places which is - as you said I tried to order listening and tapping microphone but I'm unable to find does it include recording option, second kindly suggest a JAW which suits for normal windows, then would be great. But on the whole it was an crystal clear proper booklet ❤️❤️. Keep do what you do 👍👍
Hmm got all this and a hole lot more even have the dj system to blow the roof off I am currently using the ableton live trial but it's so mind boggling I went out and bought the best of the best equipment for my studio just hope I can figure it out hope I didn't waste a bunch of money 😀
That helps a lot but I have one question. If I want to use the pc for something else like watching videos or playing video games will I still be able to use the mic and headphone to talk/ hear on this stuff or do I need other devices directly to the pc. Thanks
So I’m I’m thinking about buying the Rockville set that comes with the headset, speakers, monitor, and Mike with shield is that a good choice? Because I’m thinking about getting that or I should just get better stuff separate but I need to know if Rockville is good or not
If you’re recording with microphones, you will need headphones. You need to be able to hear your click track and the other tracks you’re playing along to. If you play that through your monitors, the microphone will also pick up the monitors and you’ll end up with a big mess
On the part where you stated a Daw....Is Fl studio 20 still legitimate to use cause I find it more easier to use when I been watching their videos...I'm rapper and I want to master my own tracks
Cool ! I am needing some help deciding on a desk top for a studio . Want to get a computer for around 1100 and a screen for around 400 . Suggestions would be appreciated .But not going with Apple . And no lap top .
I'm creating a home studio, but is it necessary to have monitors, I don't even have enough space in my bedroom to fit them? If I don't buy them will it affect my music recordings?
You realistically don’t NEED monitors, but they do make life a lot easier. In your situation, I’d buy a pair of open-back mixing headphones and use those in place of monitors. Make sure you spend a good amount of time just listening to music with them though, so you get used to how finished music sounds on them. I’d also make sure you’re pulling a “reference mix” into your mixing sessions and constantly compare your mix to the reference mix. That way you’ll make sure you’re getting your low end, high end, and all that correct when mixing your tracks. Then also periodically switch between your mixing headphones and some generic earbud headphones to make sure your tracks sound good on multiple sets of speakers. If you do that, you’ll be fine without monitors. I did this for like 2 years when I was first getting into it
Hi Andy. I really enjoyed this information. I will be setting up a new studio in the near future. My question is how do you setup dual computer screens?
You should be able to just plug the second screen into your computers HDMI port. Then go into your computer settings > displays > then click “Arrangement” Then uncheck “Mirror Displays” and you should be good to go (this is for Macs)
@@GeorgeStraughn yeah it should be the same thing. There should still be a “display” settings in your preferences or something. You might just have to click around to find it. You don’t need a separate program or anything though and all computers come with this ability
@@StudioJKovac yes, and thats what most people at home do unless you’re recording bands and you have multiple microphones/inputs on your interface. When recording tracks one at a time, I suggest starting with drums to get the groove, then add bass, then record guitars/chord-type elements.
I'm hoping and praying that you get back to me with the numbers on a small home studio to produce my own CDs and start my own record label to leave with my grandchildren
