Brother Bear gives me so many memories... it’s definitely one of my favorite movies of all time.. the soundtrack is incredible, and the feels it gives you... I litterally can’t.. I love this movie beyond belief 🖤
What’s super sad is that this movie is in the category of Disney’s “awkward” phase. Tarzan, Lilo and Stitch, Treasure Planet, Atlantis, etc. were all masterpieces because they taught us a valuable lesson without using s strong, female lead.
@@rays8521 What I’m saying is these movies got a lot of boys into Disney instead of the major movies they produce with strong female leads. These movies broadened their horizon to reach kids who don’t really care for princesses. That was my point
as a child, I did not understand the deep meaning of this cartoon, having matured and reviewing it for almost the entire cartoon, my eyes were in tears, this is definitely an underestimated masterpiece with no less wonderful musical accompaniment.
Brother bear is one of my underrated, yet beautiful depictions of a story about loss, grief, and love. After experiencing loss... I found myself turning to it and other media. Never have I cried harder. Such a powerful film and a powerful score.
The look in Sitkas eyes of him realizing his sacrifice to Save his younger brothers he recognized the assignment. Not too often in this Life one will put it all on the line for those they Love. This is such a Powerful Film I remember when I first watched in 2016 and cried more than my youngest child.
I also think they’re equal. Sitka sacrifices himself for his brothers, and Mufasa is betrayed and killed but I’m sure that he prefers his life is taken over Simba’s.
Brother bear was such a big part of my childhood, it taught me so much, I felt so close to it, as I grew up I realized my guiding spirit animal was a Bear, and I have had a Bear tattoo on my arm, so every time I feel lost I just look at my Bear. This music touched my soul and left its print on my heart forever. 🐻🐾✨
Actually a lot of the music in the movie was some kind of eastern European folk music, Disney figured it sounded native enough that nobody would notice.
Japanese people are my people, but I find Native Americans the coolest people. Maybe because the way they live in the land, the music they play, weapons they have, paintings whether it's handmade on objects and or on themselves, and also how they worship
This is one of those songs that when you listen to it and close your eyes it transcends you into some sort of spiritual realm where you connect with the universe on such a deep level.
A man may not sit here and do nothing, but that does not mean that you have to stand there and watch your loved one either live or die by one simple choice.
I just got a call from my mother that a very old and dear family friend had just passed away from cancer. He has been fighting it for years, but now I know he isn't suffering anymore. But, I do miss him and I'm listening to this as I let a few tears fall and remember the good times we had with him. RIP Chic
I use this music to kind of meditate and envision myself in a place where I allow bad energy to leave my body. And In this vision I watch it as it flies farther from me and feel myself become lighter. Almost as if accepting what has happened and to move onwards.
there you can see in the movie it was more powerfull then todays movie in the old movies you felt how the charatheres felt and this Soundtrack makes you also feel free
This is now a remembrance to my pet dog 🐕 judo who died today and this music to me is a definition of him because of free spirited he was and energetic as well. I will never forget the many times he’s made me happy and full of joy and life as well as laughter, in addition to all of this he died on grandma’s birthday so now I know that he is not alone up in heaven and finally I will always hold him near and dear to my heart ❤️💧😥
Aw man, this reminded me of my little sister’s teacher. When my mom went to the parents-teachers meetings she always told me how every other teacher was grumpy except my sister’s teacher. She was so sweet and always asked the parents if their kids were having problems in school that they were too ashamed to bring up to her during class. She said she’d help as much as she could because she has a kid who had the same age as her students (7) and she understood how things can be difficult at times. She had to quit in the middle of the school year because she was diagnosed with cancer. That happened last year and idk what happened to her, she wasn’t even MY teacher but I really hope she’s fine.
I've always found the Death of Sitka sadder than Mufasa's. Mufasa's didn't choose the death, he was still hopeful to be helped by his brother and realize the truth just before. Sitka chooses death. He knew what was going to happen. He could have tried to run, to jump away. But he stood, looking at his brothers. Sorry to not be able to protect them any more. For me....Sitka > Mufasa
Same, but I had a slightly different take on what I believed to be his final thoughts would. A few quotes pop into my head. 1: "I'm sorry brothers.. I'll miss you." 2: "this is the end of the line for me brothers.. the spirits call me home" 3: much more simple "make it count" 4: "Kenai... live up to your totem so that this sacrifice is not in vain, we'll meet again one day."
I really wish this were in the soundtrack instead of the Phil Collins songs. I don't know why they left it out. They left a bunch of the instrumental tracks out.
I named my dog Sitka (laika mix) and my Husky's name is Cora (american native princess from The Last Mohican was named Cora). If I'll get a third dog, his name is going to be either Kenai or Denahi 😊
This gives me chills you can feel the mood it legitimately sounds like a native American song. brother bear is a better native American movie than pocahontas, it's creative, it goes along with mythology, you can learn from it,the environments and the music helps tell the story, there's diversity put into this, native Americans, blacks and whites This movie should be remade and I hope if it is remade they use natural elements to tell the story, body language and music The lion king remake was missing the key elements that makes a movie work and gets people to care for the characters
No comparison; Mufasa didn't choose to die, and to see the fear in his eyes when he realizes he was to be betrayed by his own brother; while already in fear (regarding the potential thought of losing his only son); to losing his son, not by his son's untimely death, but by his own; was terrifyingly sad. No parent wants to bury their child, and to see all the effort Mufasa was making to ensure that he would see his son again by saving his son's life; only to have said assurance ripped from him (the one time he asked for help; showing the very burden Mufasa had to carried all that time as King; to not be able to truly rely on anybody), but the one time to sincerely need it when it matter most; was helplessly denied by someone else's jealously of his life (being why it was taken from him, as he died); trumps any Disney's death seen.
It's cool to think it was based on early native American culture from the ice age era and the song sounds like it can actually be used at a real funeral it's just so beautiful! I just wish there was a smilin version of the tears emogi!
