I'm almost halfway through the album right now and it is super mind-bending like you said. It seems like the songs have a pattern that starts with a song using natural instrumentals to extreme drill and bass, then finally to extremely ambient and eerie then rinse and repeat. All of these songs sound super video gamey too, and because this album has such an expansive and odd variety I could think of a TON of genres of games these songs could fit in. I'm not the biggest fan of this album so far, but I respect Aphex Twin's vision, especially with his usage of natural instruments. Most popularized music in the modern era mostly uses electronic instruments all made via computer software, so it's quite nice to actually hear a REAL piano and other REAL instruments, it feels like almost more work was put into playing them along with a better appreciation for it.
