    Please check at beginning of video when you start the reassemble bit, I could be wrong but you may have put the first lot of plates in upside down

    That was an eye opener , very interesting.
    It's good practice to use lock tight or something on the threads for all those critical bolts .

      Thanks. No need on them 4 bolts as their locked in by the ring gear once I fit it.

      RUclips has a new thing of setting them in the middle of vids for you. But ads are the only way I make money from RUclips so if I stop them I may as well give up making videos as it takes so much of my time. I want some reward for my efforts 😁

      Yes il Be covering all that in the video. Iv ordered a selection of shims but I'm hoping the factory size works and I won't have to remove the races or shim. But il explain at the time.

    Hi Steve. Very funny that I just ordered mine a few weeks ago and received it yesterday 😂. Thanks so much for the video. Just want to know the default settings of the LSD. Is it in 100% locking ratio and how about the Cam Ramp setting? I am mainly using it for my daily driver. Thanks for the confirmation

    Hi Steve, thanks for the great video - I've just discovered your channel. I'm thinking about adding an LSD to mine, but I'm slightly concerned that it will be competing with the wheel braking thing these cars have. Do you have any idea how they work together?

    • @Sparkplugsteve
      @Sparkplugsteve  4 года назад +1

      I'm not an expert on it but It should save the brakes. The torque vectoring braking activates when a wheel spins. If the diff stops the wheel spin then the brakes shouldn't activate. Thanks.

    • @tobywalton7704

    did you check the break away torque? i find they loose between 30 to 40 ft lb after the first track day, so i shim them up a little to allow for that....because its a pin in the ass to do being fwd

    • @Sparkplugsteve
      @Sparkplugsteve  4 года назад

      What do you shim? The preload cone spring in the diff?

    • @Bradp72
      @Bradp72 4 года назад

      @@Sparkplugsteve yeah shim between the belville washer and top ;sd plate...i find during break in the plates wear enough to loose preload and increase slip. depending on how you like it .010" to .015" is generally enough to bring it back to where it is new

    Can you get us loyal fans a tasty discount 😉 I got the same power and map as yours maxxed out stage 2. I’d love to see how much of a difference it makes. Does yours have some torque steer on exiting corners like it wonders on acceleration?

    • @Sparkplugsteve
      @Sparkplugsteve  4 года назад +1

      Give part box a ring and ask for Paul dolan. Say I sent you. Corner exits are the weakness of my car. Its better as I don't use the front roll bar but the diff should transform it.

  • @roberttaylor465
    @roberttaylor465 4 года назад +1

    Mmmm, locked diff out of corners on power doesn't sound the fastest way to get around a corner, great for drag racing tho.

    • @elmo1324

      I was thinking same ,one wheel needs to spin faster than other to get round, is that right ???

    • @Sparkplugsteve
      @Sparkplugsteve  4 года назад

      It's still a differential. A differential does as the word says allows both wheels to spin at a different rate if needed.
