That scene between Olenna and Tywin is pure gold. Perfect writing, impeccable acting. Its what you get when 2 seasoned stage actor recognizes that their counterpart is also the master of their craft and they play off of each other perfectly. So rare but what a joy to watch. Seasons 3 and 4 is gold.

Gotta disagree on the off-screen death thing. Maybe it's that I'm a woman and GOT already has a ton of violence to begin with, and a lot of s*xual violence towards women which can feel exhausting, but I never felt like it would have added anything to the story to have an actual scene of her torture for us to view

No way you could keep grown men interested in watching a show with dragons without there being a bit of bewb reveals and spicy action.

@@urbanangst7630 I have nothing against nudity or "spicy scenes" and like boobs just as much as the average straight guy. I don't really know why you brought that up when I was commenting on the amount of s*xual violence in the show. That's not "spicy" to me, just sad and uncomfortable

It happened because the actress asked producers D and D not to make her be nude on screen again. This was their petty revenge

Ros wasn't even a character in the books but she was implemented very well into the show and had a lot of good scenes. I don't think her death was bad because it ties back to Littlefingers conversation with her in season 2 about bad investments. We really didn't need to see her getting tortured by Joffery. Also Littlefingers ladder monolog is great and that's a show only thing too.

She was a character in the books, sort of. She was two characters combined into one for the show. There have been a few characters they did this for during the show. However, You can't really use the books to explain the show since they are very different.

many reactors watching this seem unfazed that Bolton (a bannerman of Robb) finds Jaime then says he will send him to Tywin..... like.... And Bolton told Robb he would send his bastard to retake Winterfell so that Robb could continue his march to fight the Lannisters. I guess people just don't have feelings about Bolton or care about him lol. seems he should be a bigger topic of discussion.

Why would a character we barely know be a favorite character? I'm trying to unspoil the spoil here, just go with it. Although I commend the restraint for not saying "chaos is a ladder" right before Baelish, I know that must have been tough, lol.
I don't understand so many people's belief that every death has to be seen in gory detail. Often an off screen death is better, but you have to understand nuance to understand this. Showing the results of the murder in a montage during Baelish's monologue was perfect. And definitely not a filler episode, this show doesn't really have those. If filler means no action, then I guess? But there was action so never mind.

The whole Karstark schism is Rob’s fault; he commanded the Lannister boy be held in the pen with Jaime which led to the inciting incident, he broke his vow to the Frays which led to tumult amongst the ranks, and also he decided to execute lord Rickard rather than send him to the wall.

It’s definitely not just a filler episode. It really shows a lot of character motivation and this is the kind of thing latter seasons will miss and part of why the show sucks towards the end - these types of episodes are missing

Olenna and Tywin conversation is just amazing, how 2 players, are moving their pieces in the board to win. The more they move, the more they push and try to corner the other. And Olenna did push so much that got Tywin cornered, and the only move possible for him was using the power!
Now will Olenna play in a different way or will she allow such union? If such union happen, Cersei will be in a terrible position. Obvious the Tyrells will not treat her bad, but imagine Cersei living in the most beautiful castle, surrounded by beautiful gardens and eating cakes for the rest of her life. Of course having to deal with Olenna!

"Chaos is a laddah!!" Perfect line delivery..great icebreaker to say at parties (kidding lol)
Ros tops my list of characters in the show who definitely deserved better..
Harrenhal is totally St. Charles place if GoT castles were Monopoly properties..
Tyrion knows Cersei's tells, probably better than anyone..that's how he figures out it was Joffrey who ordered him killed..same way he figured Joffrey and not Cersei was responsible for having all of Robert's bastards killed in early season 2. It's not her words that betray her, but her silence..
Enjoyed the Lord of Light banter..curious to see if Igli changes his mind or sticks to his first instincts..
Finally, yes, finally, wish Corey would share his thoughts/opinions more..I suspect there is a very deep thinker hiding in there..😉
    XO

The other stupid thing that makes no sense is Tywin threatening to put Loras on the Kingsguard in order to win the argument with Olenna. In the books, he requests to part of the Kingsguard in order to protect his sister, but also because he never got over Renly and had no interest in taking another lover. Nevermind the fact that a person can't be compelled to join the Kingsguard against their will. Instead the show just did whatever they wanted to put the characters where they needed them, even if it made no sense. They also completely disrespected and destroyed Loras' character by just making him a horny gay guy. His devotion to Renly was even greater than Brienne's.

The thing that's always bothered me the most about the Theon torture scene is that it just doesn't make sense that he wouldn't be able to figure out where he was. Theon had been living with the Starks for most of his life at this point, and will have likely traveled all around the North with the family and would be familiar with most large castles. Even if he didn't recognize the castle itself, he would know that the Bolton's sigil is the flayed man and that Roose Bolton had a bastard son around that age.
