- I can rarely bring myself to pay the prices of ready-wear clothing and I try to never buy fast fashion. I’m a firm believer that you can find a pattern for just about any piece of clothing you see in stores. Sure, you may have to make some adjustments, but by sewing (or upcycling something thifted, for that matter), you can create clothing that fits you and is inspired by ready-wear for a fraction if the cost.
Seersucker, denim, double-gauze, and royal blue fabric shown in video all come from Hobby Lobby.
Patterns are:
Seersucker shorts- Simplicity 9956
Denim shorts- Simplicity 9955
Gauze top- New Look 6622 or R10093
Royal dress- Anastasia dress by Joana Patterns (Etsy)
Jacket- McCall’s R12040 or 8464
I sew on a Janome Memory Craft 9450 QCP and a Bernina L890.

I came from your sisters channel and have now subscribed to yours. I wish I could sew . I want to try as I loved the shorts
Subscribed per the nice woman at The Stitchery☺️
My frustration is finding the inspiration. I look on instagram and Pinterest but maybe I am searching wrong. Do you have suggestions?
Do you have any favorite stores? Sometimes I’ll just walk around a mall and get inspiration from clothing I see in stores.
