I love getting sewing magazines as a treat!! You got some lovely patterns too! The matchy matchy pjs are utterly adorable!! That bag making box ❤❤❤ OMG amazing bits!! And some totally unique! Eh.. more Mr & Mrs Sparkles sewing vlogs… sign me up ❤❤❤ especially if it invokes tech 😂😂
Definitely looking forward to a Bias Tape Maker video if you can. 👍 I have the machine but have not really made the most of it yet, so would look forward to some inspiration from you and Mr Sparkles.😃 Thank you ❤
Can’t wait to see the new vlog with Mr Sparkles!!! Great gadget. Good Luck finding your Gilbert shirt 😂😂. Such a week of happy post. Happy Sewing 😊 Lynne
Hi Sam, another truly sparkly video. Thank you 😊👍. I’m absolutely in love 🥰 with your Zoe dress, such a lovely style and fit. I love it so much I’ve ordered the pattern !! I really like to have a stand collar, they suit me so much more than a round neckline. But it’s the waist pleats and pockets that really make it for me. I too got my bias making machine as a Christmas present from my husband. I can honestly say it’s a really useful tool, and I wouldn’t be without it now. Like you, previously I would often put off makes because of the fiddle of bias making. Have a great weekend Sam and look forward to seeing you next time x😊
Love you in the toucan dress ❤ I’ve just discovered I can access the simply sewing magazine via our library’s BorrowBox (online library). Not tried to download/print any of the patterns but some seem to be there.
Have you tried Pattern Pages which is dedicated to the indies? I subscribe and it is delivered every other month I think. It’s not monthly anyway and I much prefer it to the others. You get a ‘free’ pattern with that too. Thank you for your vlogs, you are definitely now one of my favourites!
My two favorite sewing machines! Being in the US, would purchase them in my local Barnes&Noble bookstore, unfortunately they no longer sell them ☹️ Love the Matchy Match pj’s! Gorgeous dress! Look forward to new vlog with Mr Sparkles 😊 Happy Sewing & have a great weekend!
Great vlog, never apologise for a video ‘going on to long’ I could listen to you for ages! I love the Zoe dress, I might give it a go as my waistline seems to have got lost in my latest makes and ‘floaty’ isn’t so much of an autumnal vibe 🙁. Would your new bag pattern from the mag be suitable for your new kit? I thought of a new mini series idea for you and Mr Sparkles if the bias tape machine works out. You could have a monthly episode entitled ‘I’m not Biased but…’ and chat about different topics whilst creating bias tape from your leftover fabrics from the past couple of weeks or so. I hope your daughter enjoys being spoiled for a while, does she sew at all? xx
I don't know who could wear the dress with the midriff silhouette - even if it looked ok standing up, as soon as one sat down it seems it wouldn't really fit, even on someone young and thin. Your Zoe dress is lovely and all your plans are fun to hear and the finished items are great! I just made bias tape for the first time and am utterly converted to it, but it is a bit of an effort, I have to admit - the gadget you got could go a long way to making it easier and I'm eager to see how well it works for you.
I’ve been thinking of turning the Donny into an opening blouse too so I look forward to seeing how you go about it. I was thinking of possible using ties or button/loops to fasten rather than a button band🤔. I bought the bias machine too, bargain, but haven’t tried it yet as I waiting for a time when I can sit and play with it!
Oh I love the matching Pjs! A few years ago my son moved home, he said only for about 3 weeks. He was here for five years 😂. But honestly it was fine. I also love long legged pyjama bottoms and no tags for me either. Tags irritate me so much. I think when I make my great neices some pants and leggings I'm going to put a label on the back, but on the outside. One of them has autism and has some sensitivity issues. I love the first fabric from youe SHJ box but not a fan of the second either. I like your idea of putting a button front opening on the Donny Shirt. Maybe you could explain how to do it, once you figure it out. I'd love to see how the glove making goes.
Looking forward to seeing the Gilbert shirt, on you, how can we put things away so carefully and suddenly it has disappeared from our memory. I am sure you will find it this week. I lost our passports once, didn't know they were missing until the day before we were to fly overseas. That in itself is a long story, 5 years on the passports have never been found!
@@nancyblackstock3278 This morning’s mission is a good tidy up of my Sewing room. I did find the Gilbert. I have a bit of a reputation for loosing things, they do generally turn up tho. ❤️
@@SewLetsSparkleWithSam I’ve been buying it as a loose leaf tea for about a year and drink it black. It might be more biscuit like with sugar and milk 😆

Fantastic dress!❤❤❤
The Zoe dress is beautiful. Love the matching PJ's, so cute. I agree the pink doesn't go with your skin tone. Cute material though.
@@dianemontavon5670 I can get away with a bolder pink but a pale pink is not flattering at all on me.
It’s a beautiful quality, I may try to swap x
