Always enjoy your reports… even Birmingham England has had an earthquake. There was a tape of the noise the earth made that was quite scary. We do live in interesting times.
It was pretty blowy here in Swansea too over the weekend, don't think any of our sports facilities made a bid for freedom though :O I'm saving the longer video for the weekend, when I have time to settle back and enjoy it :)
Thank you for the update from your windy and very snowy Iceland. Sorry, your sports dome has not landed here in the Netherlands. We had three storms in a row with lots of damage and unfortunately people got killed by falling trees, but the wind blew from the W to SW, so no dome here.
I could have written the exact same as you but for us here in the UK. We all got the same 3 storms and unfortunately we also had deaths due to trees. Hope you are all as well as can be now. OH, Hello from England 😊
Douglas Adams wrote about that flying house where the nordic gods were having a non-stop party. I think it was in part three of the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It seems thing sjust got real, hm?
Thank you for the update. One day I'll get to visit your magnificent island. As to your quote on coping with reality through sarcasm...can we have that on a T-shirt? Genius 😆
Thank you Gylfi...a nice wee catch up...yes the weather is getting even more unpredictable...and in force...three massive storms with all that goes with it...tell me please what are the beautiful blue flowers that are everywhere called?🌿 Love to your family from Scotland💌😁✨
"No reason to make a run for hotdogs" LOL! I'll keep a lookout for your sport center. But I don't think it will show up in the New York Catskills. That was something to read about, though!
Yes I passed by with my 1st drone last summer but knew it wasn't good enough to to a proper flyover, but will be there shortly, it's just awesome crater....
You got me there...but I'm just gonna say that I kept this one until I can do a flyover to make a full video, and also about the nearby crater so stay tuned 😊
ill swap you , one sports center for a few hundred wheelie bins 🤣, i check the eq map every morning so that big one was a surprise and i noticed that askja is now yellow
Yes it's still yellow and I'm curious to see the latest data, like InSar but the snow has to go first, and it's gonna take some time, and always welcome :)
Yes, the spring comes with force this year, not only in Iceland. In Britain a number of people got killed, and the roof of a football stadium was blown away. The storm doesn't like sports it seems. Also here in Germany the storms (its 3 or 4 by now) have caused a lot of damage, mostly trees falling, sometimes hitting cars and people. But also a large block of flats - with 40 apartments or so - burned out completly, appearantly the wind has made the fire so intense that it was not possible to extinguish it. Thank god nobody got killed in there. ruclips.net/video/Sqy7gQLD3Ns/видео.html

It's still not a problem here, land uplift is more of a problem like in the coastal town Höfn where the harbour is at risk since it's near Vatnajökull glacier and the land rises as the glacier melts. So it was in the news the other day that the harbour is a great risk due to that.
Thanks for the update and images. Cheers.
My pleasure😄
thanks for the update and all the info .. keep up the good work ..
Welcome 😄
Always interesting. Thank you for including some footage of the Icelandic horses.

When I was in Iceland in 2014, Bartharbunga was misbehaving also 😂
Yes that's when we got Holuhraun, she's reloading
"No reason to make a run for hotdogs" LOL! I'll keep a lookout for your sport center. But I don't think it will show up in the New York Catskills. That was something to read about, though!
Welcome :)
I hope spring will arrive soon.👍
I would like to think so but I'm however prepping for a long winter this time :) even even have ice drifts close by now
During the recent storm triplet over here in the Netherlands, some inflatable tennis-courts kicked the bucket too.
We still haven't found it :)
The crater is unbelievable I love to explore it ones when I will be in Iceland
Yes I passed by with my 1st drone last summer but knew it wasn't good enough to to a proper flyover, but will be there shortly, it's just awesome crater....
Hverfjall crater has no lake. Does this mean all the water has soaked into the ground and will give a phreatic eruption if it does?
You got me there...but I'm just gonna say that I kept this one until I can do a flyover to make a full video, and also about the nearby crater so stay tuned 😊
'Normal abnormal ' I like that.
😊 welcome
I'll keep an eye out here in Australia for your sports centre :P
Fantastic and many thanks 😊
Good to know Icelanders are prepared. 🤙🏽
Yes we are🤙🏽 and thanks :)
Only Mother Earth rumbling. Not some power hungry pesky human.

Can you speak to the topic of sea level rise? What affects are expected in Iceland?
Can you show me any real figures which show any sea level rise anywhere on the planet? There is none, just saying....
