    Hey, Thanks for the great videos. I am looking into purchasing the Queenbee and I am wondering if you could tell me the height of the set up (not the Z travel, but the maximum height of the whole machine)...I am planning to put it on a slide out under my out feed table. Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

      Greate to hear! With the Z-Axis in max positive direction it is 595mm high.

    Those linear bearing blocks have the same sticky anti-rust goo that the linear rails had on them. Did you clean them also before installing?

      Yes, I cleaned all of them thoroughly before installation. Then I lubricated the blocks and rails with lithium grease that have the same lubricity as some of the "light" greases suggested in hiwins manual.

    Hey, thanks for the videos. Was looking at the 1000x1000 mechanical kit as I have a good controller (DDCS 3.1). I understand that you are happy with the performance but I see people reporting variations in parts quality. Did you buy it from Aliexpress or from Bulkman 3d site? Thanks for your advice!

      I bought it directly from Bulkman. The only problems I had was with the quality of the screws, many of them stripped out from being looked at wrong, and with cleanliness. They hadn't cleaned the aluextrusions after cutting them so I had to clean up a lot of swarf and crap. But apart from that I'm very pleased with it so far.

      @@OffHoursEngineering Thank you. I think this is the kit for me...

    I am considering the 1000x1000 with the air cooled 1.5kw kit.. you happy with yours?
    What controller do you run?.. considering Duet wifi..
    Just out of curiosity.. You Norwegian or swedish? :)

      I'm Swedish, but I've actually worked in Norway for a couple of years. Yes, so far I'm definitely satisfied with the performance, especially at that price. The linear rails is what really makes it worthwhile in my opinion. Right know I'm using an Arduino as a breakout board and running Estl controller, but the plan is to upgrade to linuxCNC as time and cost allows.

      @@OffHoursEngineering Have you considered Duet 2 Wifi?

    • @OffHoursEngineering
      @OffHoursEngineering  3 года назад

      Not for the router. I have looked at it as a possible upgrade to my 3d printer, but for the router I'd like something more industrial.

      @@OffHoursEngineering Ok, many people prefere it to something like the Mach etc, just for the ease of use, web interface etc :)

      @@OffHoursEngineering about how much slop / backlash would you estimate with this system? Is it worth it over a system like the Genmitsu?
