  • When you first get this you may want to pull the bolts that attach the handle to the magnet to release stuff and put lock tight on them I had mine come loose on me.

Thanks for the review. Just had our roof done and the roofers left nails everywhere. I will be picking this up today at our local Harbor Freight

It works really well once you get the height adjusted right, I broke a wheel on mine recently and added larger wheels and re adjusted the height I probably had it a bit low before it works even better now.

Just picked up one for a roofing job. I may go to tractor supply and get a 1/2" larger wheel. Because I've seen some nails falling off too.

do you like the big one or you think the 22" would do any better?

As I recall the 22" had slightly smaller wheels, so I don't think it would work as well for my application.

Can anyone *confirm* whether the 30" Harbor Freight magnetic sweeper #93245 that is sold today has adjustable height wheels? I ask because on the HF website, they seem to only mention adjustable height for the 22" model, and not the 30" model. Appreciate anyone's help.

Based off a extensive review from someone who was searching for the same answers you seek: Both appear to be adjustable height. However based on their description, they both lack any significant differences in height adjustment. Purchase some slightly larger wheels, to suit your needs and you will be able to to control the height better for your terrain.
I also have heard that not all models have release handle, so be sure to verify that as well. I consider that to be a huge plus for the sweeper. I own the cheapest one and it is extra work to get metal off. I know this is 2 months late, but I hope it helps you or someone else. Have a blessed day and stay safe.

@@codyleboeuf5530 Thanks for your input, greatly appreciated! Out of frustration, I ended up buying both the 30 inch and the 22 inch models, and returned the 22 inch since I found the larger one more useful in my application. After looking at both of them very closely, I found that the height of both models could be adjusted about 2" inches simply by loosening the axle nut and raising or lower each axle independently. For me, that variation in height was enough to make the products much more usable on my lawn versus my driveways. HF really needs to do a better job of including this in the description for both models. Not sure if they make another variation of these sweepers, but both the smaller 22 inch that I purchased as well as the 30 inch had the same type of release handle. I also purchased a small 12" sweeper from Home Depot for about $10 that is perfect for cleaning up really small areas in rough terrain outside the house, like in the middle of flower beds. It does not have wheels but works well. Thanks again for the follow up.

You can raise or lower the wheels.

For some reason the last time I did it or first time they did not stay put, I went and raised them again and put lock tight on the bolts this time and let it sit over night and now its holding. So thanks for reminding me about that. However and full raised height it does seem to miss some things. But you can cheat by angling the edge closer to the ground.
