Thank you for this video! I have a wiry all white beard that just soaks up product. I do use all products to keep a bit of hold throughout the day. I do use less oil...about 6 drops and I do follow up with a butter and lastly, I do smooth down the outside with a beard wax or balm and follow up with a bit of mustache wax. I wash my beard at least once a day...and on some occasions twice a day with a daily beard wash.

That all sounds great Michael! I agree that as my beard gets longer I switch around products a little focusing mostly on oil and butter but mostly butter. I find it feels really good in a long beard and gives some manageability too

Two things - too much oil. For a short beard, 3 drops is enough. For a medium beard 4-5. I would set the intervals between products a little differently. After the oil, it's a good idea to wait 15 minutes before applying the balm - if the oil is not absorbed within 15 minutes, it means too much was used or it was rubbed in wrong.

I've done lots of videos on these topics and agree with you on some points. The amount of oil you use depends on:
      1. Your skin type
      2. The length of your beard
      3. Environmental aspects such as warm climates, wind, central heating at home etc.
      Thanks for commenting! 🙌

@@westcorkbeardcompany In fact, I have to admit you are right. There may be such conditions of weather, lifestyle or work that it will then make sense to modify the amount of product applied. Although 25 drops of oil, it will only come in handy for a weekend trip to the Sahara :D.

Showed some of the lads at a 40th birthday last night the WCBC oils that I use and they will be making some purchases soon, one bought a box set on the spot! Roll on the beard soap! 😎

Hey mate. What age were you when your beard was as full as it is now?

Hey Jack, I'm 43 now so I would say late 20s or early 30s. It took that long to become as thick as it is now

Do you use butter before bed or oil?

I go for beard butter before bed. It soaks right in there and leaves your beard feeling great in the morning

You use too much oil , 4 drop is inafe for your beard size

I have a very thick beard and also a longer moustache in this video so I definitely need more than four drops. Thanks for the comment though 👍
