    Happy New Year, Jerry, and thanks for the slide show. We live in the neighborhood of Euclid and Holt and I was taking images of the same areas on our walk last week. 😊

    Ontario experienced a disasterous flood in 1938 due to unusually heavy rainfall in practically all of Southern California. This flood caused 87 deaths and $78 million in property losses (one of which was a portion of my grandfather's citrus ranch in what is now known as Montclair. It was simply washed away.). The Flood Control Acts of 1936 and 1938 provided the necessary funding for the constructon of the San Antonio Dam (about 5 mi. north of Ontario) and the Prado Dam (to the south) to alleviate this problem.
