I live in Fontana, the locals at the bar told me about it so I went to check it out personally, Not too long ago the house sold for $800,000 or so. And it's said that there's many hidden compartments throughout the house. The one story I find hard to believe is that, apparently there's a underground tunnel that leads towards the back of the house if needed to get away. Capone choose Fontana cause that was a close he could get to LA without bringing any heat on him.

According to the gentleman I spoke to at the Fontana Historical Society, Capone never once step foot in this house. It was just built as a hideout in case of an emergency. He continued by saying that around the time of this houses construction, he was about to be sent to, if not already in Alcatraz island.

Yes he had that house built an he had tunnels behind walls so he an his people could get out incase police or anyone wanting to kill him he could escape ! He had houses in different states ! He went Senile and it started rotting his brain an bodily functions in his 40s an dies so many months later at 47! 😮

I lived in fontana before and some of my relatives still do and I visit often. Actually if you type al Capone's house on google maps and it'll show it to you because the house is even labeled on Google maps.

The house is beautiful inside, just as you might expect from someone with the history, like that of a famous mobster. Apparently, it was built specifically to house his family in comfort and safety. If the tunnels existed, there is no evidence of them today, although there is a small basement, it doesn't offer much storage space but it's a perfect place to hide a secret escape route. The property was originally quite extensive, so the tunnel theory, might be more than just folklore. Next to the wrought iron entry gates, an old guard shack still exists for added protection when Capone was visiting the family.

I always thought that AL CAPONE LIVED IN NEW YORK CITY. .I didn't think fontana was a living place at the time. ?
but maybe he changed his location because the heat was on him too much. . and being far away could of made it defaulted for the feds to find him? ? I don't know for sure but it's what am assuming? ?
