I’ll miss two passes - that has been fun
stackataka is gonna be nuts in pvp and blacephalon (blas-sef-a-lon i think) has a disgusting attack so im insanely hyped about these two. I assume stackataka would be similar to a shieldon with incredible defence but it might have to high stats, but blacephalon is going to be incredible for raids and maybe master league but im not sure yet! super excited, this might be my favorite two releases of the year, maybe top 5 bc of marshadow!!!

Mega Alakazam is the #1 mega psychic type attacker for raids. 2# overall behind Mewtwo…. Better than mega Latios, Latias, Gardevoir, and Slowbro…. imo it’s definitely worth the passes if you didn’t get a Mewtwo.
I agree, I hate these RUclipsrs who think everybody just have a team of 6 shadow mewtwos hanging around all maxed out, and besides that it's boring running a team of the same pokemon, just cause it's second best doesn't make it useless

Blacephalon could be an awesome Ghost pokémon if it gets Shadow Claw (as strong as Shadow Gengar in raids) but it looks like it only gets Astonish which will only make it as strong as an ordinary Chandelure - so no Go! If it gets its fun Signature move Mind Blown (uses head as "bomb" throwing it) it could also be a very good Fire attacker, but I guess we have to wait unfortunately.
Oh wow, Shadow Claw would be a game changer for it.

Field research gave me a raid pass yesterday, saving it for Stakataka cause I think hes cool, and I missed the first rollout of Ultrabeasts. So the only one I have currently is Kartana 😭

That's not true. It's confirmed that you will get the research (but you will be rewarded with Candies instead of another Diance" which is unfortunate.

I just got back in to Pokémon go and I don’t have too many meta relevant pvp Pokémon. Should I still try and do the go battle weekend?
Absolutely. Eventually after enough losses you will get down to an ELO where you're matched with other players who are in the same position or just tanking, so basically you will collect free wins. Try to aim for 1/5 wins each set and you will get a decent amount of stardust.
The Rivals Week event will also be ongoing during this weekend, and a lot of PvP relevant Pokemon are gonna be featured in the wild.
i was wondering for the spotlight hours with the 2x transfer candy or 2x evolution xp, does that apply to any pokemon or it has to be hitmonchan and hitmonlee for 2x transfer candy and abra for the 2x evolution xp
Any Pokemon. I always save and tag Pokemon I could use extra candy for so I can transfer them for 2x candy.
@@RachelsSweetie thanks, yeah I remember watching a video saying you should save your pokemon for that so I have a few bug pokemon to evolve because they cost little candy

Wish there was a reward where you earn 1000 rare candies. That way you can evolve many Pokemon as you like.
I got a shiny suicune and Tapu fini but sadly the shiny was my second raid but the first one was a purifiable hundo but didn’t catch but at least I redeemed myself with the shiny

Yeah, that's pretty good for Ultra League
The moveset on tapu fini is the important part, the HP/sta diff between perfect and something like 10/15/15 are minimal

Would it be worth grinding raids for a high IV Alakazam if I don't have high level shadow mewtwo for my psychic type mega in raids?
No
In raids no.. do a few just for the energy. The abra spotlight hour is what you grind ☺. Dont worry too much about perfect IVs as your only using it until you getta better shadow mewtwo😏

@@benriley7492 in theory yes 🤣 you could run other stuff (hoopa, mega gardeivor, mega latios) but yeah 6 shadow mewtwo would be a true top tier team.
Yeah, I think it's worth grinding for one. Upon reflecting, I think I was too harsh on Mega Alakazam. Do the megas for the energy and then focus on Abra spotlight hour. If you have a friend to mirror trade with, even better, as you both can get lucky Abra to evolve.
Eventually, you do want to upgrade your team with Mewtwo and ideally, Shadow Mewtwo. However, we don't know when those two will return, since we just had Shadow Mewtwo in raids a month ago.
Does anyone know if the mega evolution candy bonus for catching Pokemon applies to Pokemon caught through the Go Plus+? I've been acting like it does apply but haven't found any solid answers online so far
