I think budget PVP options would be huge for newer players. Great league isn't so bad on the stardust wallet, but man there are a lot of Ultra League cups this season.
Heyo! I'm coming back to the game after a few years, and I was an absolute noob last time I played, trying to up my game this time around. Your guides are fantastic for this, particularly this one. Thank you!
Thank you so much i started abou 1,5 months ago and there were a lot of really helpful tips in your video. Now I can focus on building a decent raid team ^^
Those videos are super useful for beginners that are F2P (or F2P in general) cause they don’t have a lot of ressources, stardust, and no money, useful picks before you get better Pokémon
This has definitely changed because I’ve named multiple different eevee using the name trick and each time I got the specific evolution i wanted, to specify I’ve used the same name to get the same evolution
"Trade Evolutions" I would include Geodude, Gravaler, Golem. They are massive budget trade (25xCandy total) evolve pokemons. Golems wreck all the bird raids with rock/ground typing. While Giglith is much more expensive to evolve (50xCandy total), harder to find candy, and is a glass cannon rock specific type.
Roggenrola has been a common spawn for quite some time, not sure what you mean. Also, Gigalith is not a glass cannon rock type. Golem was a debatable choice, so I can understand why some feel it should have been added.
I wouldnt call Hydriegon 'budget'. It out DPS's Darkrai and is currently the best Dark type DPS. It is the sole best option for Dark type dps with brutal swing.
You seem to have missed the point. This budget list focuses on accessibility, cost and meta relevance. Hydreigon just benefitted from a Community Day very recently.
You don’t understand what budget means, accessibility, it had a com day and if you played that day a low level player can lvl one up, it has nothing to do with how good it does lol
I've been getting lucky in hundos lately. My most recent are Lucky Hundo Metagross , Machamp, and Manetric. I can't wait because I only need 5 more mega energy to mega evolve my Manetric.
Pidove into Unfezant is a very cheap and high DPS flying type attacker if you get the move set Air Slash + Sky Attack. Flying type attackers aren’t the most meta relevant but Pidove spawns very commonly in my experience so it’s not hard to get the 75 candy necessary to go through the stages.
In terms of DPS * TDO, it does fall a bit short compared to Honchkrow and Staraptor, but it's true that it is very common in the wild currently. If you catch one weather boosted, it would be a good temporary flying type attacker to add without spending any stardust 👍
Even though I'm luckily not really in need of using budget Pokemon anymore, I enjoy your videos way too much to miss out on watching. Great comprehensive video as always ❤
Hi I just wanted to thank you for doing these viedeos I watched your viedeo last year and now I have really good teams for each typing. I really enjoyed your PvP content. When will we see you PvP again?
That's really awesome to hear! ☺ Getting content out in general is kinda difficult with balancing my full time job right now, so I can't say forsure. I am still actively doing GBL though
9:57 i will die on the hill that youre wrong, my sylveon has turned my great league team from casual player to basically chuck norris if he decided to play Pokemon
I also have a 12, 14, 15 shadow Staraptor, I recently gave it an elite fast tm that I got thru the recent quest that gave both an elite charged and fast tm. Anyway I gave the elite fast tm, to my best Shadow Staraptor that I evolved too early before I knew that it was going to have a Comday, an elite fast tm for gust. Plan to power up soon as it will do very well in Phermosa, and Buzzwhole raids. Along with my 3 star shadow Hounchrow
Oh man, I was just about to record a video today about this because I didn't know when yours would be out haha! Glad you made this, I personally don't use budget Pokemon too much but it's one of the most useful lists one can have.
Hi LuckyBunz, may i ask which shadow machamp would you recommend me to level up: 13/15/15 or 15/14/13? Lol i have been pondering on this for many weeks😅
Both are amazing spreads for a shadow Machamp tbh! In general, prioritizing 15 attack spreads will always take priority though for maximizing breakpoints 👍
My lvl 50 15, 15, 13 shadow T-tar is a beast sweeps thru Rocket battles like nothing. I been trying to catch a 98% or preferably a perfect normal T-Tar as well to have for it's mega to eliminate the temptation to purify my shadow when the mega does come into Pogo so I can have the best of both worlds.
Good video, but if you ask around people will tell you to never power up anything unless it's a 100% iv shiny caught on a Tuesday. Even if the difference will most likely not matter for 99% of the player base :P.
I have a lucky machamp 🥳. Yes we do need a budget pvp pokemon to power ups vids. Becoz most best pvp iv pokemon is the non lucky one. Im a returner player, got a bunch of lucky pokemon from trades, was happy at 1st, then i learn bout pokegenie n i notice most lucky pokemon are not great for pvp. So i would love a budget pvp pokemon to power ups.😁
Are you able to try and catch more? Because whilst farming raids for the candy you may come across 1 with even better IV’s. I would strongly recommend that you don’t power it up until it leaves raids to ensure that you get the best one. I would also encourage you to look for weather boosted raids because it will be Lvl 25 as opposed to Lvl 20. That difference is ~ equivalent to 28 candies. Good luck!
Zacian in its current form (hero of many battles) is only utilized for PvP, specifically in the Master League. Therefore, having the hundo or even the 98 with 15 attack is very important when running it.
Conkeldurr is not budget lol. You really gotta do lots of raids to even get a good one, let alone have the candy for it. It’s also near impossible to run into its ore evolution in the wild too.
Any way to change my game language from my device language to english? ALso, how do I know which item helps my pokemon learn the specific attack that the video shows?

It's funny how my master league team is garchomp, melmetal, and sylveon and yet no one expects it
A PVP budget version for each league would be amazing if you could do that 😁 3 separate videos or one video for each league
i will tell you this Excadrill is CRAZY good in great and ultra league as long as you give it the moves metal claw and drill run

I don't understand your naming system, and I would appreciate a bit of elaboration on that, since I feel my naming system is WAY more efficient. I'll make a whole section for this comment just how I name them, since I think my method is great:
I always name my pokemon [A]/[D]/[H]FC
This stands for the IVs in each category (which the game tells you if you know how to eyeball it, i'll explain that in a second). I name my pokemon Atk/Def/HP, then their moveset. I understand that the numbers on yours are the IV %s, but those are completely worthless next to knowing the exact IVs, which is a mystery my naming system circumvents. For example, you could have an 85% pokemon, but you wouldn't wanna use it in gyms because its IV spread is something like 8/15/15, whereas you may wanna use a 76% because its IVs are 15/11/9, and having a higher attack stat is more optimal for gym/raid attacks. It's actually even more efficient to use my system because you don't need a 3rd party app to break down the exact percentage. Attack, Defense, and HP are all weighted a bit differently, and so a 13/15/15 could be a 96% while a 15/15/13 could be 98% because attack affects their CP more than HP does in this instance.
As for how to tell a pokemon's IVs in game, your leader will show you a picture of the 3 stats, broken up into 3 bars each. If you know that a pokemons IVs can only be 15 max, those being 15 atk, 15 def, and 15 hp in that order, then you can assume that those bars represent the full 15 points for each stat, and each of those 15 points is divided into 3 smaller bars. This means each individual bar represents 5 IVs for each stat, making the picture mean Atk - 5/5/5, Def - 5/5/5, HP - 5/5/5. The tricky part is telling the difference between a 1, 2, 3, or 4 IV, but with enough practice, you can learn to very quickly eyeball a pokemon's IVs this way.
The part after that is the moves my pokemon know, which can be a little tricky to keep up with, but i'll try to make it simple.
If a pokemon's IVs are all in the 10s (so 10/10/10 for this example), then you only have 3-4 characters after that to name their moves, 3 if you're putting a space between the IVs and the moves, then you only have 3 characters to use. So, I use 1 letter for the Fast Move and two for the Charge Move.
If a pokemon like Charizard has Fire Spin and Blast Burn, I would name it 10/10/10 FBB, and because Blast Burn is two words, both Bs are capitalized. If a pokemon like Venusaur has Solarbeam, it could also be named something like 10/10/10 RSB, R being Razor Leaf and SB being Solar Beam, even though it's one word. If I have a pokemon with a charge move like Psychic, I split up the word into something like Ps or Pc, but I understand that's not always super clear. If I'm lucky enough to have a relevant pokemon that's 100%, it wouldn't be 15/15/15, cuz that wastes space. Instead, I can name a pokemon's IVs and moves ENTIRELY if they're like that. A Charizard might look like 100% FSBBDC, for Fire Spin, Blast Burn, Dragon Claw. Every now and then, I'll get a particularly annoying issue where ONE pokemon has 2 or 3 moves that all have the same abbreviation, such as Venusaur with Sludge Bomb and Solarbeam, which could be remedied by RSB vs RSb, the lowercase existing because it's not 2 words, so it doesn't get 2 capital initials. However, I usually name him RSb or RSl. You can tinker with this naming system a bit, but I feel like it solves most problems anyone would have when it comes to having 6 Mewtwos, Machamps, or Giratinas. You know their IV%s, but you don't know which of them are slightly better for raids (because you didn't name them for their attack IV), and you don't know if your Mewtwo is a Psystrike/Thunderbolt or Psystrike/Ice Beam or Psystrike/Shadow Ball without checking its moves first.
