You ever think about how Paula was held prisoner in that cell in that house for like, unspecified days to potentially weeks, and she's totally chill with a random pickle man taking a photograph of her and Ness right outside it like it's no biggie?
Never thought of it like that. But she helps ness take down a cult, so I think she’s happy
The Paula in my first play through had to wait a long time cause I couldn’t even get past the first part of the game. I remember the excitement I had when I put months worth of effort into the game and finally got a teammate. I was… very bad at video games. It ended up taking me about a year and a half to beat the game.
Also surprisily chilling after defeating Giygas, tremendous terrifing boss

In canon, when you leave Onett and then get into Twoson Paula was just kidnapped before you could even meet her.

the good news is that earthbound is on switch
the bad news is that it's not a remake, just a port, therefore making a real remake almost impossible :(

Earthbound is honestly the perfect game for a remake. It wasn’t popular on release but it has inspired some pretty influential games, ness is in smash, and many people know the characters of the game and some of its music but haven’t actually played the game. I think a remake would be a great way to fix that

I love the detail in the dusty dunes desert picture. Paula and Jeff are sweating while ness just does the fuzzy pickles pose. Great stuff
This song has made me cry every time I've listened to it since 1998
Normally anything Smiles and Tears related makes me cry, but this was just wholesome and adorable. The only sad part is Paula and Jeff suffering from the heat, but at least Jeff finally gets an ice cream at 3:57!
They’re not suffering from anything in that picture. That’s the Summer Harbor, not the Desert or Scabarra

Never before has a game like Earthbound made me cry so much. Its not just a game, its an experience. Such a great one at that.
The backgrounds are beautiful, the blended painting-like colors actually make a great fit for earthbound. Just watching this video brought me back years ago when I played the game for the first time. I'm so happy that content like this still exists.
I really enjoyed this. I tried holding back tears while watching. Mother 2 is such a good game. All 3 are. It really can have some emotional moments and memories. More importantly, remembering the legend, Satoru Iwata.

I played this song on my keyboard after my own mother passed away. This song definitely makes me go to pieces while thinking about how great of a mother she really was to me.
This is one of the most precious things I ever seen related to Earthbound

Dude I just recently beat this game few weeks ago and holy moly yo I loved every bit of this game.
Even cried at the end not just because the game was finished but I experienced one of the most loveliest games ever.
It's such a nice change of pace to play a game that's very charming goofy, and not hard for once.
The way you draw the chosen four make me feel like this is how kids act in front of a camera is absolutely adorable. (which is remind me of plenty of babies I met before.)

I'm kind of late to the party, but this animation is really beautiful! The backgrounds look like they were actually painted, which is something I really adore in pictures and the pictures referring to the moments that Ness had through his journey really makes me happy. Say cheese sandwich!

Hontouni arigatougosaimashita Iwataru-san! This is still one of the best pieces of digital art a special part of my childhood and an important reminder that we should never let the exhilaration we felt when young wear off as we age.

OMG MASTERPIECE
This game is a masterpiece, maybe the game isn’t anything special, in combat, or any technical things like inventory space, but it has one of the best soundtracks, great dialogue, the music… just perfection, when the game ended, I actually felt sad, because through the adventure, you grow to like the characters, you feel like you are in the world, no game I’ve ever played has captured the essence, earthbound’s world building is just exquisite, it feels real, it feels like you are in the world, that’s how comforting and real it feels, undertale is pretty good, but earthbound trumps it imo. Thank you for making this
