Looking forward to Helldivers movie, Horizon can do well if it's done properly and Ghosts of Tsushima anime is being handled by Aniplex, Sony of Japan, so it's basically never going to fail, especially if it's animated in house by Cloverworks or A-1 Pictures.
Its like their top 3 best-selling franchises. It is succeeding, just not in "hardcore" circles. Its kinda like assassin's creed. Most people on gaming social media hate that series, yet they sell 10 million each release
I suspect that Atari thing will have various games in their catalog for sale, which will include various atari 5200 and jaguar games and those had number pads so I guess the number pad makes sense. If they dig in to their home computer catalog like the 400/800/etc and the ST, I imagine they might bind some of those to the keyboard keys some games might use. It's kinda odd and probably a bit for the aesthetic but if executed well, it could be useful. I imagine it'll just be some simple ARM thing running Android with a store frontend. Who knows how much it'll allow to load software on or if it'll have play store or whatever. It could just end up being fully walled to their store out of the box. Normal controllers have been solved, but there's probably a lot of room for VR controllers and body tracking kinda stuff.
3:27 I don't think that was his point. It isn't about needs, it is about availability. No PC game needs every button on a keyboard but having them available is still important.
Im surprised no one has ever asked charlie about what he would do if he never took off. I would like to ask that question to every RUclipsr out there who so happened to take off.
Regarding Wii-U's screen being below the sticks, I notice I'd actually prefer the inverse when playing my Steam Deck. Not having to hold it as high up seems like it'd be more comfy... The shape would get weird, but I guess a little rail that lets you slide the screen up would make sense. I remember having this issue with GBA too, the OG was more comfy, but it didn't have the screen up high like the SP.
I don't see the Helldivers/Horizon/Gravity Rush movies succeeding Why make live-action adaptations when all those titles would benefit 10x more from an animated feature/series? At this point it seems like they just want to lose money
I'm now in that place where I believed I'm meant for something more, but those doors seem to be slowly closing. I'm a physics phd and I traveled the world for my education and work, learning 5 languages and having some success with business, but somehow it all converged into being fired from a mediocre job in the middle of nowhere. I am not sure what happened and what to even do next. I see some options, but all seem to be aiming much lower than I imagined myself to be. And even that's not a given. I'm almost done with my 30s and I have a feeling that if nothing moves before I'm 40, I'll be cooked.
I'm Russian and in touch with the news and this video is the first time I hear about a Russian console. Nobody's gonna buy it. Our government just keeps pretending like we have anything resembling modern hardware manufacturing.
I dislike how people hate on horizon zero dawn or forbidden west. It was fun and great story. My favorite trope of extinction and old but new tech. People leaving the planet. The game just wasnt streamed. It was a fun game you just played
Fr I have both games I got for free and couldn’t bring myself to finish half the first game, it’s just so boring and generic and predictable. I never hear anyone ever talk about these games ever yet they have 2 games, DLC’s, a Lego spinoff, and now this new show or movie or whatever And the CEO has always said it’s been his dream game to make I think he’s just throwing money at it now matter if it succeeds
@jishwagent .... I have all of the games and the dlc and the Lego game 😭. I actually enjoyed crafting and fighting the machines. Its storyline is completely different to everything I've played since getting a PS5 and I'm happy to play the next installment. I'd watch the show even if it's a "plant" too 😅
@@jishwagentGeneric gameplay wise, sure. Overall though, i dunno man. When was the last game you fought with robot dinosaurs. And no, exoprimal doesn't count. That came after.
They looked at Japan's model(despite being originally a Japanese company, very ironic) and thought they should do that, even though Japan's model is if the IP earned enough through their cash flow of whatever media, they would then get a show and or movie. Sony does the opposite, they think their crap is immediately deserving, sink hundreds of millions, only succeed 1/5 times and complain why they're losing money.
You know what the future of gaming REALLY NEEDS?! MORE BUTTONS on the controller! I can't tell you how many games require you to hold a button and press a button for specific actions! And if you wanted to make a game that had ALL basic movenents that you could do across different open world games; you couldn't! (I'm not referring to individual animations of course, I'm specifically referring to having the same level of parkour in assassin's creed with something as intricately controlled as Elden ring without MAJOR JANK! And if you play red dead 2 or modded Minecraft, it becomes IMMEDIATELY NOTICEABLE how many macros you use to play these games. So why not just take those four mappable buttons on the backs of modern controllers and turn them into all-new individual buttons that have their own inputs and can be used for more advanced control schemes?! We already create our own macros with our steam decks so I think that we should just turn these programmable buttons into their own buttons! (Also don't call them something lame like m1-m4, give me some new symbols for my controller! Give me the C button, give me the Z button, or if you REALLY WANTED TOO! give me E button, or sigma, or an omega button! Give me something NEW! Imagine in Elden ring being able to use BOTH of your attacks on each hand while being able to use BOTH ashes of war while duel wielding! Or hold one of these buttons down and use your triggers to use consumable items instead of your d-pad. (And still be able to power stance either weapon!)
What the fuck is even the point of a helldivers movie? It literally would just be starship troopers with a reskin made by SONY (yes, the company behind morbius, madame web, kraven etc) there is almost nothing actually original or fresh about helldivers that would make it work in any other media other than the videogame. We're getting too confident in videogame live action adaptations as if most that end up being great aren't basically just shows (arcane, edgerunners, tlou, fallout, castlevania). Cinema only has sonic in terms of game adaptations that are generally well liked. What will make helldivers any different? The ONLY somewhat fresh and original thing they can do is have no actual protagonists. Thats what makes the game interesting, as basically every time you die you get deployed as a different helldiver. Thats it. There's nothing else that makes it stand out, except maybe the other 2 enemy types other than the bugs (who also were ripped off starship troopers) lol

The Atari gampad was literally a arcade stick with a number pad beside it Sherlock
Yeah, that Atari handheld has something that the Steam Deck lacks: a number pad.
The numberpad is for competitive calcing

One of the original controllers for the Atari had a wheel at the top of the number pad on the bottom. It’s a retro flashback.

If there's going to be a game turning into a live action that has a 100% success chance, it would be Hell Divers 2.
