Dude you are about to blow up. This is funny, insightful, engaging, self deprecating, underappreciated and overall well received. Bravo my good sir. Also, I agree with your picks.
Thank you! I really appreciate your compliments, and I'm excited to keep grinding the channel. The growth so far has been ridiculously cool, so I'm always motivated to work!
Haha ya you know he’s good when these are some of my favourite videos, and I’ve never played Diablo or TF2! Guy just does great video essays, and when I need something to slow the brain down after a long day, that shit hits good.
I remember playing my brother's copy of Diablo 2 as a kid and spending ages trying to get past act 1. The sense of accomplishment and bad assery I felt killing Andariel was incredible. I felt like I could take on anything the game could throw at me. Then I walked outside the gates of Act 2, hit a beetle, and immediately got fried to death by electricity. I quit playing for years after that.
Ah, that's D2 for you. I too spent quite a while before at last getting past Andariel. And I actually got quite far in Act 2 as well after a while, but my English wasn't very good so I had big trouble understanding the quests. I actually had a friend of mine installed Hero Editor on my pc just to unlock Arcane Sanctuary. Im not proud of that ofc, but that area just blew me away. And still does, but I rarely farm it even though its a pretty solid area for high runes.
@thickock45 well, yeah. I remember th3 first time playing a Hero Edited Druid which basically had everything dead before it entered the screen, and also my first legit full Tal Rasha Sorc. Which for some some reason had a random act 2 merc with Reaper's Toll. My first proper ssf end game build was also a sorc. And now I have 9 lvl 90+ chars on PlugY, and 13 items left on the grail. The only sin I have done is duped a few items, like Enigma and stuff to not have to move them around all the time when I want to just play the different chars. But, I still don't use two of the same items on the same char, for instance I've only found 1 SoJ, and therefore I just have to pair it with different rings even though I have an extra one in the stash.
Even as a kid blundering my way through this game I fell in love with Act 2. Bright sand dunes contrasting against shadowy tombs, ancient rituals and an arcane sanctuary that blew little kid me's mind. Act 1 is certainly the most "Diablo"-esque, but Act 2 expanded on the setting in some important ways.
PROTIP: Act 3, mission for book that gives you stats: you don't have to look up every single temple. The book is always in the temple where stairs head north east.
Reject pants and assert your dominance: shit on the devil's floor. That said I really like Act 1 the most, especially how brutal and gore filled the monastery is. Peak, bleak Diablo.
I genuinely dont understand how a guy with less then 20k subs makes astronomically better content then 90% of RUclips been watching all your content since I found you threw your finding the best class in diablo 2 video keep up the good work
Act 1 was always my favorite, it has that classic Diablo feel to it. I want to say IV is my next favorite but it's clear they cut it short. I guess it'd go I, V, IV, then III and II tied for most hated for me.
Act 2 is misery honestly. I don't like Act 3 either, but if you're lucky it can go pretty quick. Act 2, if even just for the maggot lair, is so tedious.
Idk why i love act 3, i mean i do infact blunder through it, but damn those little "villages" in the flayer jungle and all of Kurast/Trav just hit. Plus the dungeons using the Diablo 1 cathedral theme is awesome lol
I cannot stop watching your videos everytime they pop up. You are the exact type of video creator i enjoy watching. I think we all at least LIKE Act 1 because we all took our time on it at some point. Even when you fired up D2R for the first time with all your meta knowledge....the stamina and mana block make you play and explore at the intended pace and you get to take it all in. Every other act once you have a mana pool and teleport/charge etc you can just blast through way through and say "fuck off" to ambience if you really want.
That's true, by the very nature of the game you have to take it slowly at first. I hadn't thought about that, but you typically spend the most time just walking through act 1 lol
@@seer6251 lol I went into D2R after not having played it in a long time. Having never played a Paladin seriously as a kid I decided to role it as my first character. The no percent run/walk gifts or movement abilities for act 1 really made me feel like I was a dumb 11 year old unopitmally stumbing around again. Then I got enough mana and potions to spam charge around act 3 and I'm zooming through the jungle like the Flash on crack trying to remember why I found Act 3 the spookiest back in the day.
you should be proud you are getting me to come back for nearly every video, for a game i never really played nor care for, i just really enjoy the videos. they're really good
ACT V > ACT I The first zone outside Harrogath felt like a genuine battlefield (back when I played it for the first time) with trenches, bombardment and NPCs that fought and died alongside the player character. From the very beginning Act 5 does a great job presenting a world consumed by war. Most of Act 1 can be described as either "generic grassy plains with some junk" or "dark underground maze". The parts that are actually cool and tell a story (like Tristram) feel disconnected from the rest of the world.
FYI, the book is always in the ruined temple, and trav is also a popular farming spot. Plus apparently lower kurast chests for runes. So actually not bad for farming locations tbh. Anyway always enjoy the content :) Act 4>>> though. 2 quest points for 1 quest? Hell yes.
I've had some comments pointing out the ruined temple thing and I'm getting annoyed about how little I seem to know about this game lol. Regardless thank you for the info and thank you for watching!
glad someone pointed this out haha, though actually knowing where to find it makes me explore all the temples on purpose, i get vibes of exp and loot coming from places not quest related. same with the false tombs in act 2, i rarely move on with my chars until ive opened a handful of chests and found ancient kaa the soulless. its so convenient to loot these places because five of the tombs only have three tiny dead ends with one shiny chest waiting in one of the rooms. if you manage to pick the right path the moment you enter, you get a lucky chance of loot and decent exp in under 1-2 mins, depending on how well you deal with the undead, before moving on to the next
act3 used to be amazing to farm. then they added immunities. i still remember the day i was whirlwinding through packs and say " immune to physical " wtf is that ?
My favorite act is Act II, aesthetics really on point, storyline fairly clear, mob diversity is good, townsfolk interaction is great (thank you Fara for being able to repair, heal, close to the stash, TP and waypoint!), maps can be painful to navigate but I don't feel like I have to rush through the act - what I do is taking the time, kill all the mobs and have a bit of sightseeing, if you will, with the exception of the Maggot Lair, of course. Really good background music too. Only real downside I can think of is Duriel - dude was such a huge spike in difficulty, with really shitty loot too, this is why no one ever farms Duriel. Can't say the same for Act III though, that one is pure misery. I can get lost in the clusterfuck known as Spider Forest - Flayer Jungle - Great Marsh forever (and the path between the 3 is not always linear), half of the quests are not story relevant, and don't even get me started on the Undead Stygian Dolls. The only redeeming quality is probably farming both Trav and Meph, then again, Durance 2 is also a huge pain in the ass to navigate. Act I has the same vibe as Diablo 1, intense, cold, desperate and alienating outdoor settings, with gothic, eerie, claustrophobic medieval indoor settings, iconic really. Not too keen on the mob diversity and townsfolk though. By the time I reach Act IV I was just ready to kill Diablo, this act was rushed, not much to see in terms of aesthetics (except for maybe the Chaos Sanctuary), music is pretty much non-existent in the form of atonal, almost music-concrete-esque mess, really just not much to like or dislike. Although I did feel relieved to see how short it was after, yeah, Act III. Act V...for some reason I was not that impressed, the aesthetics did not stand out to me, mobs get repetitive really fast, quests are tedious to go through (yeah I don't like saving captured Barbs or a frozen Anya one bit), and the ancients were such an obnoxious difficulty spike on the first playthrough. So for me, worst to best, Act III, Act IV, Act V, Act I, Act II.
im always happy to come back to act 1 after beating a5 normal, it fells so familiar, everyone in town is nice, you know the areas pretty well and it has that characteristic d2 feel we all love
But Act 3 has all the boxes that explode into 1 gold and an Tal Rune. In all seriousness you have made a fantastic video. I personally really enjoy Act 5 as it introduced my favourite character and introduced me to cinematic gaming for the first time. Those pre-rendered backrounds around the summit of Arret and amongest the battlements are just perfection.

Commenting before watching… Act 1 to this day is one of my favorites. It’s introduction to the hellscape that is Diablo 2 just does it for me. Pants have never been an important part of armour. For example, look at the hoplite's panoply. No pants, just a tunic and grieves. Because hoplons (the shields) were so big, and would effectively cover the upper leg anyway, one would only need to protect the shins. To wear actual armour over the upper legs (as in, pieces of fitted bronze) offers only a little protection but hinders mobility by a great deal. Besides, the upper leg has the greatest amount of muscle, and is thus the most naturally protected part of the body against small blows and cuts. You see the same thing even in medieval plate armour. In later, developed plate the cuirass would fold over the waist a bit but there would generally no be dedicated armoured "pants." A chainmail tunic would fall to length protecting the upper leg from cuts (chainmail is very effective), but again grieves were more important, and knights needed to be exceptionally mobile to ride horses in combat. The lack of armoured pants didn't hurt too much--before gunpowder became widely popular, knights were virtually invincible. The combination of a chainmail tunic, a shield, and overlapping plate meant that even without pants per se the knight was fully protected. also "why banjo kazooie destroys mario 64" :o :o ;)
Well your personality you're speaking style your delivery spot on just excellent keep up the great work I think you're going to be huge on here if you continue in this form
My boy !!! You almost made me pee myself !!! Hahahaha i enjoyed this video so much!!! Thank youu!!!!! You’re so funny and creative with good content and comedy! That you should make snes videos too! I bet you can get to the top boys ! Keep it up!!!!!
Thank you! I'm always happy when I can make people laugh, and I appreciate you supporting my channel. I'm super excited for 2022, because I have so many different scripts and ideas, and want to expand into more retro and modern stuff. I think it'll be fun!
My favorite act list goes like this: Act 2 I love setting in the desert it's somber mood is my favorite Act 1 it's nostalgic for a D1 fan. the music, the tension, gheed.... Act 4 That fight with diablo is awesome unlike d1 where it was more about who can click faster Act 5 loved the setting but it didn't felt like diablo but it has a uplifting feel to it also you get amazing drops Act 3 this act almost gave me carpel tunnel plus certain dungeons have dark tiles which makes it difficult to see the dolls coming towards your direction.
ACT 1 is my favorite, Andariel was too spicy for me as a kid in more ways than one. now seeing it in full hd makes me even more overwhelmed every time i let emilio run a train on her with his big ber stick. keep up this quality content, i hope u do a video on the best diablo clones (excluding PoE if possible)
Consider me baited into commenting. I don't have an opinion on D2 since I have played it a grand total of 20 minutes but you're entertaining so I am slowly catching up on watching your old content.
My favorite Act is Act 4. Because doing River of Flames runs with Amazon worked out alright. Most enemies weren't lightning immune, and those that were, my little wand could, generally, remove it.
Basically all pieces of Act 1 music are some of the finest music I've heard. I mean, we're talking half of the Pink Floyd discography, "Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven", "Perfect From Now On", "The Lonesome Crowded West" level shit...
Thank you! I never stop appreciating people saying that, and I'm happy that people feel that way to begin with. I'm eternally humbled with how much the channel has grown and I'm excited to keep working at it!

😳 Insane pants knowledge. A true pant lover. I don't know what to even say.
@@seer6251 I am NOT an expert on pant-dumpening however. Maybe you would have more to say on the topic?
Well your personality you're speaking style your delivery spot on just excellent keep up the great work I think you're going to be huge on here if you continue in this form
Thank you!
"It has the pits but it's not the pits, it has the secret cow level but it's not bullshit"
This level of writing just... *chef's kiss*
My boy !!! You almost made me pee myself !!! Hahahaha i enjoyed this video so much!!! Thank youu!!!!! You’re so funny and creative with good content and comedy! That you should make snes videos too! I bet you can get to the top boys !

Thank you! I'm always happy when I can make people laugh, and I appreciate you supporting my channel. I'm super excited for 2022, because I have so many different scripts and ideas, and want to expand into more retro and modern stuff. I think it'll be fun!
I have almost the exact same ranking of the acts, except that Act 2 and 5 have swaped places because I just dig the desert esthetic a lot more.
3:23 The correct temple is always the ruined temple in the bazaar.
And Travincal is another good area to farm in act 3 (plus Lower Kurast chests in SP).
This fact has been brought up, and it has shook me. I can't believe I never knew this lol
@@seer6251 I don't remember when I figured this out but I am so glad I did. saves a lot of time.
You're my new favorite channel
WTB Videos on Dragon Quest 8 [How Long Does It Take To Beat and whatever else]
I love your D2 content. Pure gold.
I fuckn love your love your videos. You get right to the point, funny ass quips, and just tell it how it is. Keep it rolling man
7:31 Sterhusha gives his best regards
Alright Im super glad you actually went with this idea!!!
Also 1 = 2 > 5 > 4 > 3
My favorite act list goes like this:
Act 2 I love setting in the desert it's somber mood is my favorite
Act 1 it's nostalgic for a D1 fan. the music, the tension, gheed....
Act 4 That fight with diablo is awesome unlike d1 where it was more about who can click faster
Act 5 loved the setting but it didn't felt like diablo but it has a uplifting feel to it also you get amazing drops
Act 3 this act almost gave me carpel tunnel plus certain dungeons have dark tiles which makes it difficult to see the dolls coming towards your direction.
your writing and especially delivery are really good. It also helps that I like most of the games you've covered
dont ever give this up bro
Me roleplaying Baal while laughing at Seer videos: LOL
Baals
I’ve watched every Seer video and realized I’ve never commented on one.
Uh I love you
And keep doing good stuff
Balls
THANK YOU JUNOMURO. Your support truly means a lot to me
love catching that minutes oud Seer fresh of the youtube presses
ACT 1 is my favorite, Andariel was too spicy for me as a kid in more ways than one. now seeing it in full hd makes me even more overwhelmed every time i let emilio run a train on her with his big ber stick. keep up this quality content, i hope u do a video on the best diablo clones (excluding PoE if possible)
The best thing about D2R is that it eventually led me down the youtube pipeline to your channel
The intro cracked me up more than it should have
I really love your style, keep up the good work, si(ea)r!
Literally just sat down for breakfast and pulled this up. A+ call out.
Consider me baited into commenting. I don't have an opinion on D2 since I have played it a grand total of 20 minutes but you're entertaining so I am slowly catching up on watching your old content.
"Is he watching the newest Seer video?" Best line of the video.
By the way, the tome in act 3 is always in the kurast bazaar in the temple with the stairs facing bottom-left
I am surprised about not knowing this lol, but good to know, thank you.
@@seer6251 pleasure :) great videos by the way!
You are a funny guy. Keep making vids so I don't run out of Diablo 2 stupid humor ever
Love this channel
looking forward for more big pineapple videos
There's something on Big Pineapple coming, but I'm not sure when lol
Act 4 is the best fight me. Short and sweet, best enemies, awesome design.
You're easily in the top 3 best Claymation Pro Wrestlers doing Diablo 2 content.
My favorite Act is Act 4. Because doing River of Flames runs with Amazon worked out alright. Most enemies weren't lightning immune, and those that were, my little wand could, generally, remove it.
Liked the video before I even started to watch it because I know it's going to be great 👍 👌
Basically all pieces of Act 1 music are some of the finest music I've heard. I mean, we're talking half of the Pink Floyd discography, "Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven", "Perfect From Now On", "The Lonesome Crowded West" level shit...
i know u hear this all the time but u are the most underrated youtuber in the whole youtube
Thank you! I never stop appreciating people saying that, and I'm happy that people feel that way to begin with. I'm eternally humbled with how much the channel has grown and I'm excited to keep working at it!
@@seer6251 well you obviously work hard so it is well deserved
"you're in heller hell." Dying lmao.
