The reason why your show is the best' despite what other people think or say you always respond to your audience, unlike other RUclipsrs, I don't mention out there they know who they are they don't have any excuse to say oh I don't have time to respond back or anything, you do and you have a full-time job great job. And Super Duff!
LOL, my grandfather had one since new, same color and trim as that. Loved that Chrysler front end. Car was mint when he passed away in 83' . My uncle Eddie being a upstanding deacon in his church sold the far and bought crack and the rest blew on ladies of the night, that just happened to be of color. LOL true story.
Good Job Mortske! Both of those are super interesting finds that I've (personally) never seen before. Looking forward to "Will it Runs" just don't break the damn starters lol!
1979 I had two green 67' Newports. They were clean, but to a 17yr. old they were ugly.I used one of the cars motors for my 65 Sports Fury.Traded the other car for that blown up Plymouth Sports Fury.Have a good week Mr.M.......
I was so impressed and inspired by your videos that a friend of mine made me a shirt that says on the front "how neat is that"!! on the back it says "thats pretty neat"!!
Pretty cool haul! The Port is a borderline rat rod candidate - provided it will run. Totally geeked about that flatty. Can Mortske & Duff get that bolt spinning? Tune in and find out!!! Cheers!
Good to see you out and about picking up bargins to add to your collection . Keep up the good work , soon all the low priced merch will be in one spot in North Dakota and people will flock to Mortskis' to gt what they need . Take care give Duff Dog a treat for me , Stuart in Ontario .
Once you get the hood open on that Newport, check the head casting numbers, look them up. Check the exhaust manifolds, watch for a HP engine. The car could have a 440. Too bad old Mopar guys turn their noses up at four doors. The drivetrain is what is worth something there, maybe the odd trim piece or interior bit. I would love to see a will it run, just don;t break that BB Mopar if it doesn;t want to turn.
No worries about me not watchin your content Mortske! Whether it’s 11 minutes or over an hr, always look forward to what you bring us. Give Duff dog pets for me 😊!
NEWPORT! Looks like a cat attacked the headliner. HOW NEAT IS THAT! 440? Probably a 318. A will it run would be cool on that one! One of my bucket list items is a trip to Motion Unlimited Museum in Rapid City. They've got a lot of rusty gold for sale there. I used to see advertisements for them in Old Car Trader. Thanks for sharing, Mort!
Had a 69 Newport four door I purchased in 1984 while stationed at Randolph AFB, Tx. that looked just like it rolled out the factory, pristine paint, interior, top, trim, never restored, alas the 383 gave up on my drive back to California. Have always regretted selling that land barge!
All 1968 Dodge's have the marker lights on the front and back fenders. I guess the front one is on the bumper. Pretty cool car back in it's day. Lounge on wheels..
Some cool finds. I like seeing what you grab from different places. It's really awesome of the guy that is giving back to the place he was from. More people should do that.
Love the Ford and also it has one strange air cleaner. Canister type air cleaners are more a tractors thing? But what the heck do I know. 😄 Would love to see the Chrysler running seems it has been tented up a long time ago by means we may never know. I hope the engine ain't locked up. If a small community can afford paved roads and nice road cover it means they got to have tons of money. Usually small rural communities are the opposite with one million potholes and dirt pavements where you can get your boots wet turning the rain and mud season.
got my t shirt yesterday . talk about high quality . this thing is great! best t shirt i own that's sayin something with my collection of the old puddins and VGG shirts. yours my friend came in 3x long. When your 6.3 that is a very important thing. the quality is unbeatable . especially for the price talk about value i will be shopping with you much more money from wallet to you soon. and of coarse your sticker decal made its way onto my yeti thermos right next to the old puddin and hotrods support sticker decal. so if yahl want good quality merch buy form this fellah you wont be disappointed. dude i dig the old truck
Hey Mortske: Anytime you can score that kind of metal like that, its a good day,,,,, good job!!!! From the home of PB Blaster and Permatex.... Cleveland, Ohio..... (Get a sammitch!!!)
It's been awhile since you worked on a flat head, it's always interesting to see you gingerly snap off a valve 😂 I'm only kidding, shit happens 😉 hopefully there's a big block in that Newport, of course you didn't open the power barn to let us take a peek, you're going to leave us in suspense. ✌️🇺🇲
Hey big guy hows it going? You should advertise that big beautiful car in California because the moment you were pulling it up on the trailer the "Low Rider" song started booming in my head. Shinny orange paint and some dangling balls around the headliner, with a killer hydraulic lift system would be a dream cruiser on the strip. The front end has such a cool unique don't F with me attitude and look to it that if it were painted jet black, it would look even meaner- than that black beast those guys drive on the Supernatural show. You and Duff would look so cool driving a low black beast like this Newport if you made it a special project. I would watch every day if you were restoring that big beautiful girl.
You could get a '68 Newport with a 4-speed manual and a TNT 440 that did 0-60 in 6.9 seconds. That's pretty quick for such a large car and for that time period.
My uncle drove Chrysler New Yorkers most of his life... They were powerful & rode great back in the 60's... He always got the biggest motor with all the options... He was a Captain on a river boat hauling coal & chemicals on the Ohio & Mississippi rivers .. The good ole days Id say.
yeah unc bought a new Newport in 1971 for like 32 and change, we checked out all the roll down windows and the two rear windows promptly fell out................
Dad had a 64 Newport 413 in that green, then a 68 Newport 383 in red with a black top. Both were fantastic on the road but I liked the 64 better. Had my first good car as a 68 Plymouth Fury 2 with a 318. Nothing like a big 60's Mopar for comfort, especially for us Sasquatch sized individuals
My parents' first used car was a 1970 AMC Hornet. It had those same plastic seat covers. We used to fall asleep on road trips and get so dehydrated we stuck to the damn things.
Thats a nice Newport for someone who has the time & money for a restoration on it
I keep watching because I love hauling rusty metal home. It’s a sickness I admit. To be fair it’s better than other things we could be doing
WhooHoo! Just the greatest 😊♥️
That Duff is something else! Great video
I see a large "Mortske's Hoard and Salvage Yard" in the future.
🗿or auction
You have to keep the '39 , as they're not anymore. The Newport would be a classic cruiser. Have fun. Onward!
A couple of nice saves
Plenty of pets for Duff, belly rub, and ‘good boys’.
Thanks Mr. Mortske!
Ooh, Mopar content, nice!
Fun with Duff dog and her Cowboy Cadillac Driver in search of Dakotas best junk cars to save from the Car Crusher
Wow! You got a trunk key with it. How great is that!😂
You've already given back. I'm sure your work at the tractor museum was greatly appreciated.
LETS GOOO SECOND CHANNEL ACTION!

Will it run and knock out the dents. And make it look "nicer"!!!
My 68 Fury III 4 Dr was very similar to that Newport. Built 440. Same terrible color, lol.
My parents' first used car was a 1970 AMC Hornet. It had those same plastic seat covers. We used to fall asleep on road trips and get so dehydrated we stuck to the damn things.
yuck
Anything with a split window is cool
Thanks!
much appreciated terry!
That Newport is way cool, but it looks like it was in a car chase
❤❤ Love your videos awesome content
much appreciated Ben!
