  • One of the options you can try if you are getting the no start along with the no click of the solenoid. It worked for me. I held the key in the crank position while I jiggled with the mower blade engagement. I will pull it out of the dash and try to clean up the contacts.

    Very helpful! FYI there's a 20A fuse to the solenoid. It's located right next to the big red wire in this video. I replaced mine and it started right up. Cost me $1.49

      @@ArrowItArchery what is that switch the blade engage?

    • @ArrowItArchery
      @ArrowItArchery  Год назад +1

      @Bryan Mann Yes Sir, it is the PTO switch. If it's engaged (pulled up) the motor won't start. My switch was simulating it being up. Moving it around as I held the key in the start position pinpointed the no start problem.

    Working on different model john deere no click no start. It does start jumping the solenoid with a screwdriver. Im just not sure if its the solenoid or the switch. ' edit ' it turned out to be the brake safety switch. I just cut it off & put the two yellow wires together & the other two together eliminating the switch.

      @@ArrowItArchery I don't believe we're dealing with seat switch anyways if it's running after messing with the blade raise/lower deal, which side note, what is the name for the lever switch whatever you may have? Because mines bad, still cutting when it shouldn't, trying to figure it out

    • @ArrowItArchery
      @ArrowItArchery  Год назад +1

      @Gregory Schulte if it's still cutting when it shouldn't, as if you are disengaging the PTO button and still engaged and blades mowing, I'd be looking into your PTO button. That's not the same problem as this.

    • @ArrowItArchery
      @ArrowItArchery  Год назад +1

      Does your hour meter come on when you turn on the key switch? If not, and all of your fuses are good, check that the connector plug to the key switch is seated well. Disconnect it, clean the contacts as good as you can, and reconnect it. I try to clean connections like that with contact cleaner spray and scrubbing as well as possible with a toothbrush or something to that effect. See if you get anything after that. 😁

      It's the pto engagement for the mower. Fiddling with it with the key turned as if starting it. It told me that it was that pto switch when it would crank as I fiddled with it. 😁

    There’s a fuse solenoid if it’s blown it won’t work and no click just replace it it’s like a 20a fuse then you’ll be good to go

    • @devilwearsprada2100
      @devilwearsprada2100 11 месяцев назад +1

      @lynneakin2737 where the fuse block is. It controls 2 different things. Make sure you have power from seat switch should hear relay click but even then sometimes if the relay is bad it won't start by the key but you can jump it at the starter coil with a screw driver to check to make sure everything else is operational

    Blown fuse will also cause this issue.

    • @ArrowItArchery
      @ArrowItArchery  4 месяца назад

      If all fuses are good, this is diagnosing that the PTO switch has an intermittent electrical contact issue by holding the key in the start position while toggling the switch.
