      StrayDog1972 i think he is one of the best rock drummer ever, because you mostly hear that kind of tight drumming in funk music. Yes that's my point of view but groove is what I value the most in a drummer, and he has a ton of that, and you never hear that in rock. Like Hendrix drummer in band of gypsies.

    This song is just amazing! Exactly one month ago I saw The Cure in Zurich, and this song was the one who overwhelmed me the most, it gave me such a goose skin... oah... I'll never forget that moment!!! NEVER EVER!!!

    Amazing how they *still* shred the fuck out of this song live! They've always played it and never disappointed, every time I've seen them. This is definitely one of their best live songs, if not THE best.

    I know the feeling at 5:20 of pure awe ..... Saw the Cure in Los Angeles in 1980, 1982, 1983, and 1984, they were the best live band I have ever seen. The Pornography tour was unreal ...

    i discover the band in 1986... first concert in 89 Fréjus Disintegration… now i'm 51... Robert is in Sydney in 3 months, LOVE IT !

      I discovered them in 1989, taught myself bass in 1997, joined a Cure Tribute band from 2000-2007, we also had a lot of revolving members, and members from 18-40 somethings!
      I'm now 43, my "Robert" and "Mary" are no longer together, I'm no longer a "Thompson," and we're all scattered around the world or dead....

    I really love this song
    When I first heard pornography it was just weird to me, hypnotic dark depressive tune which really gets you in a 'dark world'
    I own the Dark Trilogy and since yesterday Disintegration, and since I have Disintegration I came back and listen to Pornography more then before.. maybe because although they tried to make Disintegration dark, which they did, but I realized that Pornography is the Masterpiece. The aggressive and depressive songs are just genius.

    April 1984, sold out days before. Great success with fans. The Cure showed little interest in media. Robert Smith, Lol Tolhurts, Porl Thompson, Norman Fisher Jones (Noko) and Andy Anderson. They announced replacement of Noko with Phil Thornalley for the coming concerts. Acc. to interview in German media playing just for fun without plan.

    Robert said during the making of Pornography he was in a down mood pissed off drunken haze he wasnt talking to mary that much either him and simon were in a haze with lol angry dark moods from Robert,as from what i read about this album from ROBERT SMITH Internet is the best,

    @ajittffcure maybe on looks you may have something but i was really commenting on the sound ...get "cure live" ..it really has that minimalist feel thet they never seemd to have recaptured..the drumming in particular.
    robert smith acctually wanted that half man half drum machine feel on the early stuff and anderson really pulled that off live.
