I swear the inconsistency drives me crazy. He decides to exclude spin-off games for a series with only 5 main games, all really not warranted to be the worst of something (Animal Crossing), and then for the longest running series with the most entries, and a huge range of quality, he picks a mobile game (Mario). I swear this list makes me so annoyed because he implements the wrong guidelines for the wrong series constantly.
I feel like including mobile games is unfair due to the fact that they serve the purpose of being time-killers, and don't really have to be on the level of other titles
Agreed. Seems more like a cop out as to not make some people angry by choosing their favorite game. I wouldn’t have minded it as much if they allowed spin offs but they didn’t (as seen by not choosing Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival as the worse). Not to mention I find it odd that for Pokémon he choose Let’s Go for the worse Pokémon game rather than the mobile game (Pokémon Masters EX) something many Pokémon fans are very vocal on when it comes to whether they like it or not.
@@jeriahrosen101 None of those games are really bad. Maybe NSMB2, but the other three have really good level design. I think they're better than the originals except for creative direction
i love how he’s all like “im giving triforce heroes a pass because it was never intended to be a serious title” and “im not counting amiibo festival” but then he goes ahead and includes three mobile games which were only meant to be cash grabs 👁👄👁 i feel like a lot of these picks were hastily made and he hasn’t actually played a lot of these games
Especially considering he said FEH didn't have a real story and it has had a continuous ongoing story since launch. A lot of the things he said about it are actually incorrect like forcing you to spend real money to get characters and all of the character art being cutesy. I've played the game since it launched and haven't spent any money, have gotten deep into the story and people's theories on what could happen, and boy are there some not at all cute artworks of some of the characters. He did zero research on it, or at least- played for a short amount of time and gave up. Also it's a Gacha game where you try to collect characters- the premise itself is very different and clearly a spin-off from the main series but it's still fun and well enjoyed by fans.
Pretty much. And even then, FE Heroes is by far Nintendo's best and most beloved mobile game to date. I feel like he just chose it purely for the fact it's a mobile game and nothing more, since mobile games are the ones most often trashed on. Plus, the simplistic gameplay and style of Heroes was done so it could fit in as a mobile game. Not a serious mainline Fire Emblem one.
So basically you're saying triforce heroes isn't the worst, because it was never trying to be good? So the actual good game, skyward sword is worse just because of the controls?
I had real problems with the motion controls on Skyward sword on the other hand, and i know i’m not alone on that. However, as it’s stated in the video it’s not a bad game.
Zelda 2 does a good job of hiding its linearity, and keep the focus on gameplay with the story being on the backseat. Skyward Sword makes you wave your hands around like crazy, and has so much unskippable story beats that give Ocarina of Time's slow text boxes a run for their money.
@@inedibleduustloopz3911 of course your opinion is valid, but that’s just an opinion. My problem with Copycat is that he just hasn’t or has barley played the games
@@inedibleduustloopz3911 Same, honestly growing up I only ever heard Assault praised and it has always been marked up in price at gaming stores due to that popularity. It was hard for me to get my hands on it!
Imo it seems like an easy way out from the Mario and FE, especially since FE Heroes had an amazing reception, still has support and is honestly really good. Of course, the worst is debatable but saying “oh, it’s the mobile game” it does not work that easy
Skyward Sword is the worst 3D Zelda and the only game that i stopped aying because i wasn't having fun. I got probably 3/4 through the game but having to drive that nail into that monsters head a 3rd time i just got tried of all the backtracking an annoying collectaton stuff so i stopped. Easily the worst Zelda game for me
simple zelda 2 has the grandpa status and was a very early game, if it was a newer game then that would be different, triforce heroes is a basic 3ds game if anything a spinoff of a link between worlds, super mario run nor mario kart tour have that excuse
I've got several problems with this video. First of all, you can give Zelda 2 a pass because it was the second game in the series, yet you can't give super smash bros. 64 a pass for being the first game? Second of all, why were super mario run, Fire Emblem: Heroes and Mario Kart Tour not given "passes" for being mobile games yet amiibo festival was for being a spinoff and Triforce Heroes was for basically not trying to be good? I kind of get the feeling that you almost went out of your way to nitpick on skyward sword by giving the other two "bad" games extremely dumb reasons for not being eligible. You could have said "The only complaint about Skyward Sword is the controls, so I'm going to give it a pass" and that would have been less dumb that saying "It wasn't trying to be a single - player experience" or "It was only the 2nd game in the series" I usually enjoy your videos, but I'm not exactly very happy about this one. It seems to be very lazily made. I won't give a dislike, but this isn't really what I subscribed for. The concept was interesting, but the execution wasn't great
I'm not even a fan of Skyward Sword myself but I knew it was a knit pick. LOZ II could have easily taken the slot, at least looking from fan perspectives because most people who have played it have told me I would be better off skipping it.
He don’t like how he gave Zelda 2 a pass for being it being early in the series when it drifted drastically from what everyone liked about the original and the quality of the game going down while saying smash 64 is the worst because of obvious hardware limitations and the fact it’s the first in the series and still doesn’t know what it is or wants to be yet
@@colemanfleetwood608 hell no. Skyward Sword is almost universally considered the most sub par 3d zelda game. All you did was find like minded people like yourself to agree with your bogus statement.
It’s a mixed bag, but there’s a lot more that I love about it than dislike. My own pick for the worst would be Zelda II, though the worst I’ve actually finished are Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.
I audibly gasped when he said that. Assault isn't perfect but it does actually build on a lot of things that Star Fox 64 did so well, where as most games in the series are content to just copy and repeat Star Fox 64, or do something so different that it hardly feels like a Star Fox game. And how do you miss such an easy lay-up as "Star Fox Zero is the worst Star Fox game".
@@HeroSaintless SERIOUSLY! He chose tedious, momentum ruining land platforming sections over controls that flat-out *don’t work* for whole sections of the game for his worst game entry?! Dude straight up hasn’t _PLAYED_ Star Fox Zero!
I'm not a Starfox fan, but even I raised an eyebrow when he picked Starfix Assault as the worse Starfox game. That game was so lite. I think its strongest aspects was the multiplayer open field battle.
none of those games were developed or even published by Nintendo or a strongly affiliated company to them (like Retro Studios, as an example) or even on a Nintendo console, so that's probably why
I’m a bit confused by this. I assumed you would be looking at the mainline games of a franchise but then include mobile games (Mario Run, FEH, etc.). So that means you are including spin offs/side games. But then you state you aren’t counting spin-offs when discussing Animal Crossing, basically disqualifying Amiibo Festival. Which is it then?
Me though out this video: Don't say Kirby star allies, don't say Kirby star allies, don't say Kirby star allies is worst game because it's actually good. Says rainbow curse is the worst game. Me: YOU WHAT!?
That’s actually true, Kirby star allies’ DLC was REALLY ignored by the critics so it was viewed like “an awful game” before wave 3 came over and solved _all_ of the problems (correct me if I’m wrong bc I don’t know lol)
LITERALLY MY EXACT REACTION!!! Like I'm so used to people being critical of Star Allies and loving the spinoffs that I kind of got blindsided by this one.
Yeah that’s such a odd decision. Kirby doesn’t really have any bad games and rainbow curse/rainbow paintbrush is really high quality, I’d say any of the Kirby pinball games are the worst as they are literally just pinball
@@Korbyxd399 star allies is now considered the easiest and hardest kirby game and my favorite kirby game. The kirby fanbase overall loves star allies since it was a grand send off for the classic formula and had tons of fan service. People just found it "cool" to hate on for no reason even though it's one of the best games in the series. While yes it had a rough start, it is an extremely enjoyable game with insane replayability value. Most of the biggest problems were in fact dealt with in wave 3. More content, higher difficulty, etc.
It's kinda petty that the reasoning as to why Skyward sword is a bad game is because of motion controls he might as well have put twilight princess on wii + literally every wii game on the list
Skyward Sword is personally my least favorite Zelda game. It is an extremely divisive game; I understand why some people love it, but it also has a ton of major issues.
@@mattiasolsson1523 in my opinion the worst layout of dungeons or temples of the 3d zeldas was wind waker and second majoras mask because they didnt feel like real dungeons and temples to me just a little they felt more like abandoned places which wasn't bad and the worst in the franchise I'd give it to majoras mask because Its too complicated to me
I find it ironic that Donkey Konga is hated for the "repetitiveness" when Taiko no Tatsujin was praised for the same thing... which is ironic, considering both games were made by Namco. Also, how is Starfox Assult having third-person gameplay any worse than Adventures? Adventures was a botched up version of the original Dinosuar Planet concept with Fox lacking the ability to use his laser gun.
I'm more upset about the Assault disrespect. I found it had compelling gameplay and story. Best entry since 64 in my eyes that had mostly traditional gameplay. I think he just wasn't including Adventures because it was so vastly different, it wouldn't be fair to compare it to the other games
If I wanted to complain about lack of story in FE I'd point towards FE11. Ten games later they remake it and have absolutely nothing to add to the story at all and their chosen flagship character for the series.. it's pathetic.
it used to have no real story, but once book 2 came out, it actually started churning out stories that could be considered on par with mainline games. certainly better than the story in awakening and fates, and leagues above warriors
What do u meaaan!??!? Mario missing is so gud! 11!1?1! Favouritte gammeee of all time!! No ok, being serious here, Mario is missing was supposed to be an educational game. Hotel Mario instead its just a bad game that it's remembered for the afwul cutscene.
@@Mr.JP1996 well it's still in the Mario franchise. If you put it like that then why are phone games in this list? Let me tell you why. Because he was lazy.
Especially considering Assault is in the good half of the franchise with a basically 50/50 hit or miss ratio. Easily Nintendo's least consistent franchise, and one that really hasn't recovered since everything after Assault.
@@congrilla- I personally disagree. Zero (excluding Guard) for me has always been the only truly terrible Star Fox game. I have massive soft spots for Adventures and Command. I’m not the biggest fan of the first two SNES games I guess, but they’re not terrible.
It's ok if he dislikes games that we all love, this is his list, after all. However, the fact that he broke his own rules in a few franchises to justify his choices, is what makes this list very inconsistent.
I’m not sure if he himself dislikes them. He said for sample “most people think kirbys rainbow curse on Wii u is the worst…” personally the worst Kirby games I’ve played is pinball and super Kirby clash.
For me it has to be Super Circuit and Super Mario Kart, Super Circuits Controls we’re just very bad, and tracks like Lakeside park were hard to turn. I didn’t really like Super Mario Kart since you had lives. Anyways here are my ratings for each game 8. Super Circuit (Bad controls, and 2D but it was cool to see some SNES tracks) 7.Super Mario Kart (It’s 2D which makes it kinda hard, but it’s above super circuit since it’s tracks are kind of fun.) 6. MK7 (Bad roster, took all the good retro tracks, however it made you build karts so that was cool.) 5. MK64 (the game and tracks are pretty good. but overused music) 4. MKDS (nostalgic and pretty good, really fun as well. but it took some of the good retro tracks from Double Dash and holy cow the quality was bad on some retro tracks) 3. Double Dash (It is kinda fun and has good graphics, it was also creative that you can choose 2 people, one driving and one placing the items down, however, like MK64, it does have overused music.) 2. MK8/MK8DX (Good graphics, Good Karts, and good roster, has good retro tracks and included DLC, plus, In 8 Deluxe, they added returning characters.) 1. MKWii, (Like DS and MK7, it’s pretty nostalgic. It has a good roster, good tracks, and really fun to play, even to this day,)
I get that. I'm sure at the time, it wasn't that bad. I've found that it's REALLY difficult to play older games after playing the newer ones. Playing ANYTHING that came before Wii was difficult af for me because the controls were so pleasant in that title. And I played the absolute hell out of Double Dash, 64, Super Circuit, and DS.
Honestly, I think the first Mario kart is the most balanced one. No blue shells, items are fairly given based on placement, and the CPU’s don’t use unfair tactics to win
@@joshuahoey5761 They literally throw traps in front of you constantly lol. One CPU player cheats in the first game. If you play as Luigi, Yoshi constantly throw Eggs directly in front of you, which stay there.
I'd wager the fact that they didn't really have bad entries. Nobody really remembers Hey! Pikmin all that much to count, and I'm probably in the minority when I say that I did not enjoy Torna: The Golden Country.
@@bradyyt6767 It's mostly the battle system which I found to be counterintuitive. As someone who always puts driver combo arts as his top priority, the blades having none was a huge turnoff for me. And while you could achieve driver combo effects by switching team members on the fly, this is also your means of restoring health. So it felt like a gun was pointed at my head at all times, and at no point did I feel like I was in control of my actions. Then there's also the general difficulty spike in general, especially when it comes to ether awakening and there's nothing you can do about that.
@@bradyyt6767 I also wasn't a huge fan of Torna, it's still a very good game but I don't think it stands up to the other 3 mainline Xenoblade games. The combat is a good bit slower than that of the base game of XC2 because of the lack of good pouch items meaning you have to actually auto-attack and the removal of free movement during Specials meaning that repositioning requires running very slowly when you would otherwise be attacking. The oversimplification of Blade Combos is definitely friendly to new players (an aspect in which the main game's combat was sorely lacking) but it also removes the vast majority of decision-making in combat. The story really only has one or two good moments, the interaction with Malos - so much of the rest is filler, like finding and fighting the Ropl/getting supplies for Aletta/making the Dannagh antidote, and that's BEFORE you get into the forced sidequests that horribly mess up the pacing. Characters that were in both main-game XC2 and Torna were improved greatly by the latter, but it didn't do a whole lot to make only-Torna characters interesting, especially Lora. They're not bad characters by any means, just not nearly as interesting as those in the base game. Exploration was good, but only having 2-3 regions just doesn't stand up to the vast worlds of XC1/X/2. Likewise, the music added to the game was excellent, but only having 11 new tracks and about 50 tracks total play in-game can't compare to the other mainline games' hundred-strong soundtracks. My take is that as a supplement to XC2, Torna is fantastic and the best DLC Nintendo's ever put out. As its own game, however, it's lacking compared to the others.
If we're talking the Xeno series as a whole, which may be cheating because the older games weren't made under Nintendo, then it'd probably be Xenosaga Episode II, with a great story but really off character models, questionable voice acting, awful exploration and inescapably slow combat. There's an argument to be made for XSI and XSPP as well, but Episode II is almost certainly the most disliked entry.
People that don't want to say Adventures is the worse: haven't beaten it, like Krystal too much, or just don't like space shooters (which I can understand). It's an okay game at best but not a good StarFox game. Give me the SNES StarFox Game Watch anyday.

As someone who’s played feh since its launch, there’s plenty of flaws within the game, but the reasons given in this video feel outdated imo. The story has been expanded upon a TON in the years since it first dropped, and a bunch of other cool stuff has been introduced since then like your first summon on a banner being free, sparking, summon tickets, etc. With that said, it does bear repeating that there’s many flaws with feh that would validate it being classified as bad: powercreep, the obnoxious amount of fanservice that feels like it’s only geared towards one specific portion of the fan base, and do not even get me STARTED on feh pass Unrelated but also, any slander towards skyward sword will not be tolerated lol

I'd argue cuz ff is more of a game that tries to be apart of the universe than othr m trying to do it's best to be included but ended up contradicting and alienating the rest of the games
Absolutely not. Federation Force's main crime was being at the wrong place at the wrong time. No-one expected it to be a good game, but at least it didn't butcher Samus and the canon like Other M did. If anything, Federation Force only proves that Metroid Prime spin-offs are cursed since none of them are good.
@@Underworlder5 Let me be clear that Federation Force still sucks and is one of the worst Metroid games in the series. It wouldn't have as much vitriol surrounding it had it not come out long after Other M, and at a time when Nintendo sent a C&D towards AM2R. I disagree with the notion that it's worse than Other M because that game killed the momentum Metroid had while nearly killing the entire franchise.
Zarinblade its kinda stupid those don’t count when he included donkey konga and mobile games. At least Link’s crossbow training should have been the worst one.
I think he just needed to establish what he was and wasnt counting as a game in the franchise, because he only considered Zelda's main games while counting spin offs for Mario and DK
The worse thing about City Folk was the grass wear mechanic, It theory it would make natural worn paths between locations. In reality it turned your town into a dirt field.
Now, before I start my rant, I want to give credit where credit is due. I think this video is well edited, the transitions are rather smooth and the audio is pretty nice. You took others opinions into consideration and helped people learn about the worst of each game… for the most part. This is where my rant starts. However, before I start it, I want to say this is not a personal attack, I believe this video was made in good faith, I just have some problems with the content shown in this video. I believe you are a good person, but here’s my thoughts after watching the video. I really think that for the smash bros one, a lot of people agree that the worst game was brawl, due to Nintendo trying to make it anti-competitive due to tripping when running and balance issues. I personally love brawl, I think the story mode is fun to play through and the roster is pretty big all things considered at the time, You’re entitled to your opinion, but when you say you take others opinions for the first games, then just your opinion for another, it makes the video inconsistent. Especially when you covered the legend of Zelda series, you said you’d excuse the second entry to the game for being an original and trying something new. Oh but the original smash bros? Nah, the roster is too small nothing else. I will admit, the original is pretty lack luster, but I just wanted to show you the inconsistencies in your logic. Bias is okay, everyone has a bias one way or another, but your bias should not cloud others judgement. Like, when you covered Pokémon, you unanimously decided that Pokémon let’s go was the worst in the series. Now I get why someone might think that, with the forced experience share, the easy difficulty, the barebones story retold for the “13th and 14th time,” but most casual players migrating from Pokémon Go actually loved the game! It brought new players into the main series and helped introduce battling to people who mainly only spend a few minutes flinging pokeballs at the Pokémon that can’t fight back. I get it’s another Kanto clone, but that’s not a reason to claim it’s the worst. Some people think it’s too simplistic and that the art style is too chibi, along with already mentioned reasons, but looking at a majority of opinions, it’s either Sword and Shield, or X and Y that most people think is the worst game. Most people have reasons for both, but again, you need to look at every side, and be consistent with how you choose the worst game of a series. I’ll excuse this one because it’s OG but I hate this one because it’s too gimmicky and this one because new Pokémon bad. Also, Adding the mobile games was fair, but most people don’t want to click on a video just so that they can hear “Mobile games suck!” For 16 minutes. I already know that mobile games suck, I don’t need a video to tell me that. Maybe if you decide to come back to the topic, you can include main series games instead of mobile games. Here, I’ll help you out. For Mario, you could have said “Well New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe was the most hated by fans, due to several over-arching problems that refuse to be addressed over 30 years after the original release of the Super Mario series.” Then talk about how the failure to innovate has lead many to believe that this is the worst in the series. Research makes the difference between a shoddy video and a masterpiece people can look at years down the line. Edit: I have a new section it will be this section. Everything else is original. I believe I should have put this higher up, but I want to cover consistency in depth, just because I can. Anyway, onto this section. Now I see a big problem with consistency in the video. Like in the LoZ section, you decided not to cover spin off games, which okay, that’s totally up to you. But I have a problem when it’s only for the LoZ section. Mario? Spin off mobile game. LoZ? I can’t do a spin off! Fire Emblem? It’s the spin off mobile game! Animal Crossing? What’s a pocket camp! I don’t know what that is. I know it’s nothing that can be helped without further research, but that’s not the only inconsistency. I know I keep talking but it just makes an experience jarring when the rules keep changing after every entry. Imagine you’re playing in a fantasy world, and the DM decides that he wants to make a potion of healing heal 10 health. Oh but actually that was only for the last battle, this time it only heals 5. Oh actually it heals 15 now because I said so? Anyway, I just think the consistency needs worked on. I think I’m done. Again, I believe the base for this video is good, but consistency is key and a deeper understanding of the material covered would help you so so much. Anyway, I hope you have a good day, and again. Please don’t be upset! I liked the video, I think it has a good base, but I just wanted to help.
Honestly, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse wasn't even that bad. Removing the copy abilities honestly felt like an improvement more than a downgrade. If you're looking for the worst game, I'd pick Kirby Battle Royale.
Bruh what the hell.Star fox assault is a great game and the multiplayer was super fun .it is by far one of my favorite GameCube games I still play to this day.the worst fox game should be zero for the Wii U
Skyward sword is the worst Zelda game in the franchise? Despite the fact that it’s been praised for brilliant dungeon design, incredible music and superb boss fights? Not only that, but it has arguably the best storyline in the Zelda series. Have a word with yourself
I have many things that I find wrong with your video. First off, the worst Fire Emblem game is definitely Fire Emblem Warriors. It's just Hyrule Warriors with Fire Emblem slapped onto it. Most of the roster is just from Fates, Awakening, and a little bit of Shadow Dragon, with only 2 characters not from those 3. There's only 15 FE games (excluding 3 Houses), yet only 3 are represented, the complete opposite of Hyrule Warriors, where a ton of the franchise is represented from a wide variety of games. The story is pretty generic too, and is overall very boring and repetitive. FE Heroes, while being a gacha mobile game, is fun for bite size experiences, and is one of the more generous gacha games out there in terms of getting orbs (what you use to get new characters) and free characters that can be just as good as the summonable ones. It features characters from every game in the franchise, even Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (but not FE Warriors, funnily enough). Also, there's multiple stories, and mini stories with each event, so there's a lot of good storytelling. I consider it one of the best mobile games of its genre. The gameplay is very similar to the mainline games, so it's not too different, just more simplistic. I'm pretty sure nobody really cares about if its a serious anime style or a cutesy style. Have you even played FEH? Your description sounds very outdated, having similar complaints from the beginning of the game in 2017 which don't apply anymore. I feel like you did more research on Mario Kart Tour than Fire Emblem Heroes, which feels very unfair. Kirby Rainbow Curse isn't as good as the other games in the series, but it definitely isn't a bad game. It's a pleasant experience. I don't get the complaint of not being able to play on the TV screen, since it's basically playing handheld mode on the switch. It's still a fun and great experience. Personally, I don't think there's a single bad Kirby game, just some mediocre ones like Star Allies and Rainbow Curse. Also, there's several games where the copy ability is removed, like Epic Yarn, Canvas Curse, and even the original game, Kirby's Dream Land. I have nothing to add to Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, as I agree. But he never mentioned the new capturing mechanic and no traditional wild Pokemon battles, which I think was the worst part about LGP&E. Animal Crossing amiibo Festival is the worst AC game. I don't understand why you decided to exclude spin-offs specifically for Animal Crossing only, but not for Mario, Donkey Kong, Fire Emblem, and Kirby, and Zelda having a spinoff considered for the pick of worst game as well. You also included spin off franchises for Mario Party, Kart, and the sports games, which I found weird. Kart also includes a spinoff game for its worst choice. This whole video seems inconsistent on what it wants to do. Either include spin offs or don't. A problem I have with the video as a whole is that it spends a lot of time explaining what some franchises origins like Mario and Donkey Kong. If you're watching this video, you probably already know what their history is. Zelda, Animal Crossing, Mario Party, and Metroid got a single sentence history, and Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros didn't get one at all, why couldn't Mario and Donkey Kong get the same treatment? Fire Emblem getting one is understandable since it's more niche, but Star Fox is pretty niche as well, but didn't get anything? it feels less informative and more like padding. The whole video in general is pretty inconsistent with its rules on spinoffs and how it explains each franchise. Also, some games felt less researched than others (like Fire Emblem), and some simply weren't explained well on why these games are considered bad. A fix to this would be to set ground rules at the beginning, stating mainline games only, or saying spin off games are included, and stick to those rules. Also, you should say at the beginning that these picks are more opinionated, and it's ok to like these games. And do more research as well. This is just some constructive criticism, you definitely can do better.
If I'm not mistaken, feh has made just as much or more money as the rest of the franchise combined.... Don't get me wrong, I don't think feh is one of the best fire emblems but I can see it being better than some of the series.
Yeah a lot of claims are debunked easily like the 4 whole individual stories. The "cutesy/downgraded" artstyle when there are actual cipher artists and former art directors like hidari working on it. The game being so f2p friendly a normal person gets 300+ orbs a month from simply playing the game etc etc
I completely agree, especially with FEH. I’ve been playing that game for over 3 years now and it’s by far my favorite mobile game; I’ve probably gotten hundreds of hours of enjoyment out of that game, and I haven’t spent a cent on it. I’ve only played 3H and just bought Warriors so maybe I’m not the best person to speak on the older games, but in general, FEH just shouldn’t have been included. I was expecting Fates to be chosen tbh (although from what I’ve seen of it, I find it interesting. Just my personal opinion though), so I was definitely shocked to see FEH there. It has improved so much over the years (not everything obviously), so it shouldn’t just be excused as a bad game JUST because it’s a mobile game. All my opinion, but I completely agree that this video does have some glaring inconsistencies at times. Not trying to say they’re a bad person, but I just don’t agree with much of this video 😐
@@ylgrthecrab old player here: 3h is boring as hell. The monastary is cool on ur first run then becomes a chore every playthrough afterwards because you already know all the dialogue and twists. The pre timeskip is 40 hours of the same thing in every route. And the post timeskip is just maps you have already played before in paralogues. There's probably only 1-3 maps that are actually unique and exclusive to certain routes. This ie pretty boring and bad when most of the game's appeal is "replay value" and that replay value is all a lie
Really love FEH. I agree with everything you guys said. Book IV really stepped up the game in terms of story. And the game’s premium currency (orbs) can be won or obtained if you just play the game. I’ve been playing it since launch and have never spent a single cent on it. And I got a few powerful characters.
I feel like you should have stated the rules for the list at the start of the video. The list seems very unbalanced in terms of what could be considered. Some series you allowed spin offs, like Kirby and Fire Emblem, whereas others you refused to count them, like Animal Crossing and Zelda.
Not gonna lie, this is a pretty lazy video. The issue isn't that you chose games that most people wouldn't consider to be the worst in their series, but that you have next to no strong points for why they're the worst in the series. It's stuff like saying that rainbow curse is the worst solely because it doesn't have copy abilities and doesn't look as good on the gamepad as it does on the TV, or super mario run being the worst essentially for being a different experience than the other games in the New Soup series, and stuff like not counting Amiibo Festival for being a spinoff, yet incuding SMR, FE:H, K:RC, and MKT, or saying that you won't count TLOZ2 for only being the second game in the series, yet then choosing Smash 64 that is the issue. You never really go into anything like gameplay, graphics, music, level design, etc., or if you do it's incredibly surface level. It just screams a lack of research and its super apparent that you haven't played most of, if not all of, the games you talked about. I know I shouldn't care this much about some random video I stumbled across, but it bugs me that a potentially fun video concept was executed so poorly. Smaller nitpicks: -Source of the render in your thumbnail is Nibroc-Rock on Deviantart: www.deviantart.com/nibroc-rock/art/Mario-Sad-869144312 . Just because you find a picture online doesn't mean it's free to use. -This one in particular is very minor, but naming the video "The Worst Game in EVERY Nintendo Franchise", then not including franchises like paper mario, pikmin, or fzero is sorta lame. TLDR; this video isn't good because it barely explains it's points and uses lackluster reasoning (like this sentence)
*Games being negatively graded for slavish use of Wii U gamepad and other motion controls* *Pokemon games being negatively graded for re-hashing popular games* *Star Fox Zero exists* "Star Fox Assault is the worst game in the property. Too much freedom of exploration." You're just so out of touch on this one.
Hmm... Why all these dislikes I wonder? Most of these choices seem perfectly reasonable so far... *picks Skyward Sword Okay, well, I think the hate it gets is way overrated, personally I'd pick "Phantom Hourglass" as the worst traditional Zelda, but I understand that, let's keep going... *picks Starfox Assault Okay, you are now dead to me (joking, but seriously, Assault is seriously underrated and is probably my 2nd favourite of the series...)
@@theatreboy I have played mutiplayers and it was fun for a while. But the problem its that you can’t tell your friends in online what they are suppose to do, and single player alone is less experience i have ever played on the franchise.
See, I had fun with Starfox Assault. It's what I expected if Star Fox went on foot. I would've put Starfox Command as the worst, in my opinion. Adventure was ok when I played it as a kid, but I remember finally trying Command and being upset that I was ever excited to play it.
I just want to say that it wasn't Marth and Roy in Super Smash Bros Melee that brought it to the West (though that is a common misconception). It was the success of Advance Wars in the West that told Nintendo and Intelligent Systems that there was a market for Turn Based Strategy games in North America.
Of course you only talk about the micro transactions in MKT. Almost everyone who says the game is bad only talks about it and never talk about the main gameplay.
Both Super Mario Run and Mario Kart Tour are MASSIVELY overhated. In all honesty, Super Mario Kart SNES is the worst Mario Kart game. It really has not aged well AT ALL.
@@Rediscool9 i played mario kart tour and i hate the gameplay, the controls are WAY worst than super mario kart for me, that's my opinion, i respect yours :)
The problem is that the gems are really hard to get in Tour, and you need specific characters and kart parts to get higher scores in races. If you want to get higher scores for more rewards, you either need to get extremely lucky or spend a lot of money, so it's more justified to complain about the micro transactions. FEH on the other hand is more generous with its in game currency, and gives out free summons on every banner, as well as a multitude of free characters without summoning. You can use any characters you want, but a lot of the older characters are pretty outclassed by newer ones, especially in more competitive modes. But you don't need specific characters for modes, unless you want to get a high place in those modes, which is completely optional and has slightly more rewards.
You pit Starfox Assualt as the WORST!? Are you crazy? Command and Starfox SNES are literally right there. Hell, Id accept Adventures despite loving it….I don’t think you actually played Assualt!
I'd like to see this video redone and focused on mainline titles vs including random spinoffs and mobile games. Those definitely are different in design and expected quality, so they're really not the same as the base franchise.
Even tho I have far more memories with melee than brawl as a kid and that I play smash more competitively I might pout melee as the worst mainly because the game doesn’t work how it should. Most competitive melee moves and tricks are exploits that make the skill gap in the game insanely high
@@AdeleEevee Yeah, (nothing against CopyCat, I think he makes enjoyable content but) it's just kind of goofy to include a few mobile games and Mario Party Advance but then skate over something like that shitty Animal Crossing amiibo game. I agree he should have done so, but he really should have picked a numbered Mario Party (to include Super and possibly even the DS/3DS entries) and anything but the mobile Mario Kart game lol
Not gonna lie, this video feels insanely phoned in. The editting is choppy, the choices have arbitrary rules to them, and you very clearly have not played most of the games on the list. You also barely touched on any of the games you mention in the video. It's clear you didn't really care for making the video and it shows. It had potential, but overall it was just straight up unenjoyable.
Really? You're calling StarFox Assault the worst in the series? After Lylat Wars, that was the only game that really felt like it was pushing the series forwards in more interesting directions. Besides, the on-foot combat was nowhere near as slow and clunky as StarFox Adventures. Well, at least you didn't call Super Smash Bros Brawl the worst in the series just because of "DuH TrIpPiNg!".
The worst Zelda game is excused from the list because it wasn't "trying to be a single player experience". Yeah, neither was Four Swords. Triforce Heroes is the worst Zelda title.
@@Gump1405 really all I saw was just people complaining that they actually had to move their body to move the sword. That was one of the biggest selling points of the game and if people didn't like the idea they didn't have to buy the game. Out of the people I knew none of them had problems with the controls at all, Wii motion plus or not.
If you write "every Nintendo franchise" in the title then it would be cool if you would really do every Nintendo franchise and not exclude some of them. For example Pikmin and Xenoblade. Bruh.
Yeah I'd go and actually play the games 1st and then give this video another shot man, Different isn't bad I just get the feeling you haven't tried them before making this list.
Feel like this isn't even clear with its rules. All games with the the name apply. Mario: This one can actually be argued, as there was a time where they slap Mario in every conceivable product, probably one mini game collection with 5 board games or an educational game takes the bottom. Metroid: Federation Force Zelda: The wand of gamellon DK: Donkey kong country for the game boy Fire emblem: Gaiden Kirby: probably rainbow, like we cant judge the pinball game that every franchice has. Wario: DIY Yoshi: Touch & go Pokemon: tv Star fox: Zero Animal crossing: Amiibo festival.
Pokemon Channel has always been considered the worst game, Hey You Pikachu coming in a close second. Unless we're just talking about main series games.
An entry for the Mario RPG franchises should have been included. There are more than enough to choose from. Plus one of them caused the developer to go bankrupt.
"For Zelda, ill exclude spinoffs"
"The worst Fire Emblem is Fire Emblem Heroes"
I swear the inconsistency drives me crazy. He decides to exclude spin-off games for a series with only 5 main games, all really not warranted to be the worst of something (Animal Crossing), and then for the longest running series with the most entries, and a huge range of quality, he picks a mobile game (Mario). I swear this list makes me so annoyed because he implements the wrong guidelines for the wrong series constantly.

You do have a point there
Agreed. Seems more like a cop out as to not make some people angry by choosing their favorite game. I wouldn’t have minded it as much if they allowed spin offs but they didn’t (as seen by not choosing Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival as the worse). Not to mention I find it odd that for Pokémon he choose Let’s Go for the worse Pokémon game rather than the mobile game (Pokémon Masters EX) something many Pokémon fans are very vocal on when it comes to whether they like it or not.

i feel like a lot of these picks were hastily made and he hasn’t actually played a lot of these games
I agree. He needs to research better before making these type of videos.
Yeah, that video is very underwhelming
Pretty much. And even then, FE Heroes is by far Nintendo's best and most beloved mobile game to date. I feel like he just chose it purely for the fact it's a mobile game and nothing more, since mobile games are the ones most often trashed on.
Plus, the simplistic gameplay and style of Heroes was done so it could fit in as a mobile game. Not a serious mainline Fire Emblem one.
He also got the order wrong for Metroid and Zelda because Zelda is the second oldest Nintendo franchise.
So basically you're saying triforce heroes isn't the worst, because it was never trying to be good? So the actual good game, skyward sword is worse just because of the controls?
Yea the controls were horrible on that thing even moving around sometimes wouldn’t work bc the game didn’t see your controller move
And the level design was horrible and it was to easy
I can play Skyward Sword so many times without no big problem. Zelda 2 is Damn hard and Tri force heroes has force mutiplayer and weak plot.
I had real problems with the motion controls on Skyward sword on the other hand, and i know i’m not alone on that. However, as it’s stated in the video it’s not a bad game.
Despite the single player being just horrible, I actually enjoyed Triforce Heroes
Honestly I hear a lot more positive stuff about Skyward Sword than Zelda 2
Skyward Sword is a much better game then Zelda 2.
You should only play Zelda 2 on NSO so you can spam save states. And even then the only point to playing it is just to say you beat it.
I guess Beatemups is screaming about how great Skyward Sword actually is now-
Same
Zelda 2 does a good job of hiding its linearity, and keep the focus on gameplay with the story being on the backseat. Skyward Sword makes you wave your hands around like crazy, and has so much unskippable story beats that give Ocarina of Time's slow text boxes a run for their money.
Why do you count Super Mario Run and FE Heroes as mainline games for their franchise but not Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival ?
Same with the triforce hero's game
Too easy, I guess?
Super Mario Run is not even bad. How is that worse than Mario is Missing or Mario's Time Machine?

this is different than your point, but SMR was way overpriced and not very fun, and MKT wasn't very interesting either.
simple zelda 2 has the grandpa status and was a very early game, if it was a newer game then that would be different, triforce heroes is a basic 3ds game if anything a spinoff of a link between worlds, super mario run nor mario kart tour have that excuse
You could have said "The only complaint about Skyward Sword is the controls, so I'm going to give it a pass" and that would have been less dumb that saying "It wasn't trying to be a single - player experience" or "It was only the 2nd game in the series"
I usually enjoy your videos, but I'm not exactly very happy about this one.
It seems to be very lazily made.

Your picks were pretty bad, especially picking Fire Emblem Heroes as the worst game in the series? I don’t think you did enough research
You are so right. One of the best.
@@ylgrthecrab old player here:
3h is boring as hell.

The metacritic on that game is solid. Lucky it didn’t make in this list.
I'd like to see this video redone and focused on mainline titles vs including random spinoffs and mobile games. Those definitely are different in design and expected quality, so they're really not the same as the base franchise.
TBH, Skyward Sword is my second favorite Zelda
Ok but hear me out...
The worst game in the Splatoon franchise is Splatoon
I will not tolerate brawl slander. Thank you for not including it.
Even tho I have far more memories with melee than brawl as a kid and that I play smash more competitively I might pout melee as the worst mainly because the game doesn’t work how it should. Most competitive melee moves and tricks are exploits that make the skill gap in the game insanely high
Kirby and The Rainbow Paintbrush shouldn't have been on there, it was awesome!
BRO WHAT?! Starfox assault is literally the best one. Starfox Zero is clearly the worst one.
Starfox zero, a game critically panned because of the genuinely difficult and unintuitive controls.
"Starfox assault was the worst starfox game"
M8.
I feel like it's kind of cheap to include mobile games but then *not* include spin-off titles
Right? I thought he was gonna say Mario is Missing
News Flash!! There is no such thing as a bad Kirby game. They are all enjoyable and a treat.
Skyward Sword dosen’t deserve it be here. Zelda 2 might take the spot just because its the lowest But not that bad.
@@mattiasolsson1523 I'd honestly say its Zelda 2. Skyward Sword isn't bad, it's just the controls people had a problem with.
@@masteroftheocarina2709 what is the most important part of any game? The controls, if they suck then it is hard to enjoy a game.
Copycat: skyward sword is the worst
Internet: you’re trying to hide some.
If you write "every Nintendo franchise" in the title then it would be cool if you would really do every Nintendo franchise and not exclude some of them. For example Pikmin and Xenoblade. Bruh.
F-Zero and Splatoon are also missing as well as Punch-out.
Worst Mario game? It's supposed to be Hotel Mario! And Zelda CD for Zelda.
Most FE fans has Revelations as their worst game. Most fans enjoy Heroes.
Also, Heroes it's literally a mobile gacha game, of course the story will be lacking compared to mainline titles lmao
Okay... HOW THE FUCK IS STAR FOX ASSAULT WORSE THAN STAR FOX ZERO?!?!?!?
Yeah I'd go and actually play the games 1st and then give this video another shot man, Different isn't bad I just get the feeling you haven't tried them before making this list.
Feel like this isn't even clear with its rules. All games with the the name apply.
Mario: This one can actually be argued, as there was a time where they slap Mario in every conceivable product, probably one mini game collection with 5 board games or an educational game takes the bottom.
Metroid: Federation Force
Zelda: The wand of gamellon
DK: Donkey kong country for the game boy
Fire emblem: Gaiden
Kirby: probably rainbow, like we cant judge the pinball game that every franchice has.
Wario: DIY
Yoshi: Touch & go
Pokemon: tv
Star fox: Zero
Animal crossing: Amiibo festival.
Oh come on! Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee was a great game! It’s one of my favorite Pokémon games!
It should of been hey you Pikachu
Pokemon Channel has always been considered the worst game, Hey You Pikachu coming in a close second. Unless we're just talking about main series games.
Yeah what about Pokémon snap 64
@@kylerosenthalstudent5970 Maybe he was going for a mostly main stream Pokémon game.
@@TheBigThomas But then he chose Mario Party Advance which is a game most people don’t know.
An entry for the Mario RPG franchises should have been included. There are more than enough to choose from. Plus one of them caused the developer to go bankrupt.
