Every Shrek Game Ranked From WORST To BEST

- Somebody once told me all Shrek games are baloney
A thought that really made me quite sad.
The film was kind of fun back in two-thousand-and-one
And there’s no way all the games could be that bad.
Well, Philip started playing and he couldn’t stop playing.
He wrote a whole script and now he wants paying.
Didn’t make sense why they made this junk,
My brain got confused by how much they stunk.
So much to play, so much to hate,
Why’d we think a ranked list could be great?
Why’d we decide to rank the games
From the worst ones to the good… ones?
Here is Every Shrek Game Ranked from Worst to Best.

Had a full blown Freakdown that Shrek 2 wasn't higher on the list.
Yup I freaking loved that game and came on the list to see it
Same tbh, though it may be that I had fond memories as a child going 2-player with my mum on it. No, it wasn't difficult or long but it had an alright level of replayability and simple mindless fun.
Me to. Played that shit ton during the Playstation 2 era. Even discovered a bunch of glitches on my own like being able to get down to street level during the rooftop mission of the final level with the giant gingerbread man. Even revisited the game a long while back with a friend who played it as well on another system and nearly 100% the game. It was a good meme shitshow mess.
Literally came to the video to see what it was rated 😂
its honetly the best game from my childhood besides the Zelda games id play on my brothers game cube I played it all the time only complaint was the jumping to get the potion from the fairy godmothers potion factory i cried and complained and my sister always did that level for me I absolutely was obsessed with that game to the point id try to play a ton of it everyday i never got bored i absolutely loved playing as the giant gingerbread man
"Shrek loves to read!"
he literally ripped the pages from the book to wipe his ass with it.
He did! 🤣
But the "ha! Like that's ever going to happen!" Implies he actually read the book before wiping his ass.
I mean, he did read them first...
Lmao
I mean, I don't blame him
It looks like he doesn't have any toilet paper except for a book
I remember Shrek 2 on consoles actually being pretty decent and not that bad
It is i think they did it dirty
This guy just likes to complain
One of the best movie games ever made if you ask me
@@Bulletproofbouchy
I mean, it's Shrek game dude, what were you expecting? A GoW 2018 tier narrative driven journey about growth and redemption? A Kojima-esque love letter with philosophical depth about the nature of humanity?
@@utopian4769 no, i mean its underated, and was ranjed to low on the list, its not anything special butnita better then most the other games
The Shrek 2 game is underrated, very fun co-op game!
I played it on the OG Xbox
Ikr
I love that game, it is a decent movie tie-in game. Getting upgrades for each character, and having a fair sized roster of characters to play as through the campaign.
Actually, the Shrek 2 game isn't *"underrated"* at all. In fact, it's considered the best shrek game of all time in my area so it's more or less the other way around.
I still have it on ps2 and still play it to this day.
That monologue about life and time was a hard listen, wasn't expecting a existential crisis caused by a Shrek ranked list..
I loved it
From what better source should one expect an existential crisis-fueling monologue?🤔
yeah, Shrek tends to do that to people...
It was brilliant.
Heavy stuff.
"How many children does Shrek have? I'm going to say hundreds of millions"
Ah, yes, the great conqueror, Shrenghis Khan
With his brave buddy Donkeyxote at his side to defend him from all windmills, of course.
This comment gave me a much-needed chuckle
As funny as that is, he only has three. Donkey has more kids than him. ;)
@@AlmightyPolarBear Wow, you must be really fun at parties.
@@lukaspatrickson4776 Especially when I bring my big, dragon wife with me to the parties.
44:05 I had Shrek 2 back in the day I use to play it every day and I still have tons of nostalgia for it like struggling really badly on the Puss N Boots boss fight or kicking Chickens to be boiled alive in a piping hot pot for little red riding hood.
Omg yess, i remember 6 yo me and my parents struggled for days to defeat puss in boots.
Thats was actually one of my very first games.
Yesss my siblings and I had one memory card with a save past the puss in boots level and treated it like the holy grail
My uncoordinated ass could never beat Puss 😭😭
Ikr I re played the game after many years but I'm stuck in Puss n boots fight, idk if it's a glitch or I don't know how to play lol
Shrek 2 was really amazing lol most of the hero times were super fun and I loved every level that had little red riding hood she was my favourite! It was also hilarious that Pixie showed up for 1 level lol
We do not stand for Shrek Forever After slander, it was an amazing conclusion to the Shrek trilogy and a great third installment
Agree! It is the perfect closure for one of the best animated DreamWorks trilogies
Oh plus that weird fanfic made by an edgy 12 year old
It was a nice ending but I feel that the same ending could be accomplished if Shrek went on vacation alone
Anyone that wants to keep on disregarding Shrek the Third don’t even deserve to be taken seriously at all.😒
No. it misunderstood Shrek's character and made him overly bitter and even immature. Then they reverted his character back to his post-Shrek the Third self. Forever After truly meant nothing, because it didn't acknowledge Shrek's personal development and just re-did The Third's epilogue.
A bit of a fun fact, Shrek Super Slam’s inspiration was actually Power Stone on Dreamcast, there were quite a few licensed games in the late 90s and early 2000s that took inspiration from that game specifically such as TMNT Mutant Melee, the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy fighting game and Tom & Jerry Fists of Furry, and Shrek Super Slam was among them.
Lets not forget Playstation All Stars. Trying to shove Power Stone into a Smash Bros style game
I can't wait to watch this and have a FREAKDOWN at how you rank these games
Well that's a long list. I wasn't expecting that there are so many Shrek games.
Shrek 3 was one of the few childhood games that I played. I recently Revisited it, and while not being nearly as good as I remember, was still pretty fun.
I swear to god, seeing these games in action is causing me to have a nervous freakdown.
Shrek super slam is a certified hood classic. Shrek 2 was also nice.
this is facts
Shrek Superslam is a masterpiece you can never change my mind about that
I’ve been waiting for this. Hopefully this puts my newborn to sleep!!! Have a good day everybody!
My bf put this on and I was thinking "oh no baby's gonna have a hard time sleeping!" But the talking is good, I just gotta turn it down to a more ambient level 😂
@@AllenaRae the right sound level is key!
Dada?
I must not have been paying attention, but wow, Shrek was really prominent during the 2000s (the last Shrek games came out in 2011, unless I missed something). There were about as many Shrek games in the 2000s as Megaman games.
"What once was as consistent as Shrek became as consistent as Shrek." -Scott the Woz, probably
Everyone talks about the Mega Man drought of the 2010s but nobody talks about the Shrek drought
never thought I'd find Zelda music plagiarized in a crappy edutainment Shrek game
The guy/woman who wrote that segment about life really deserves a raise.
I've seen that segment multiple times now, and I adore how it ends connecting all of that with Shrek
Man I love your writers!
The monologue that starts at 13:40 is THE Greatest thing I've had the pleasure of listening to in a very very long time.
Completely agree with all of these except Shrek 2, that game is so underrated, definitely top 3 material but i loved the video 🔥
Shrek 2 was one of my favorite Coop games i ever played, but if i have to choose one it would be Super Slam.
Shrek Super Party is kinda nostalgic for me, I used to play it all the time when I was little.
Thanks for crediting our footage
If you didnt play shrek super party with your brother or a couple of friends back in the day. You wouldnt get it. We loved that game. It had a feeling to it. Like in the shrek movie when they go to the castle and its empty or when they are walking in the empty field. It had a liminal space feel and a soundtrack to fit. Idk why but that game was weird, and hit different as a child
I had Fairy Tale Freakdown as a kid, and I always remember thinking to myself, “Wow this game kind of sucks...” but just kept playing it cause that’s just what you did as a kid. Glad my younger self was correct in his assessment of the game.
13:40 I was not expecting an existential crisis while watching a video about Shrek games. Time to go cry myself to sleep
God, my brother and I absolutely overplayed Shrek 2 on the xbox, like it was a tradition for us to sit down after Sunday lunch and run the game from start to finish. Now I wouldn't say we were speedrun level but we had that game down to a nice few hours. It had its problems but definitely remains as my favourite Shrek game no contest
Maaaaaate me and my bro do this once a year too…… ITS HEROOOOOO TIMEEEE
Shrek 2 PC 2004 was one of my favourite games. I finished it like a thousand times.
I go into watching this list with trepidation and fascinated horror....btw LOVE the lyrics you created for this-top notch!
I still own Shrek 2 on the PS2 and remember playing it with friends and have memories of the last few levels being like dark souls before there was dark souls haha.
The level in the mines with the mutant frogs and the final fight with the godmother 💀
@@BexTheBoo388 Ikr that was like playing Elden Ring 😬
8:45 he also reads Fionas diary in Shrek 2 I believe
Not the deepest material iirc, I remember her childhood writing style being a bit repetitive.
I' mad that Shrek the 3rd is not higher up on the list, I spend an INSANE amount of time in that game as a kid. Not only is it very fun, but the plotline was actúally better and had more content that the movie that its based on, heck the cutscenes where killer. I loved the different characters and many of the bosses where genuenly hard to defeat.
I also love all the customisation features and the great minigames it had, like, it has mario party level minigames, y remember literally spending whole afternoons with my friends conpeting on those because it was genuenly very fun
Me, I played the hell out of Shrek the third
I also think its not fair, the carrer mode was ok, but the minigames were just AWEASOME
Shrek Smash N' Crash Racing is a real classic, I can't be the only one that played it growing up. The levels and music, unlockable characters, etc. Back when there were actually some half-decent licensed games.
I got Shrek 2 for the PC as a Christmas Present in 2nd or 3rd Grade and loved every minute of it back then
My nostalgia really thought that game would at least be a top 10 if not 5 entry
It hella should've been higher, I even played it recently and it was not "slippery" but rather fast, so beating stuff as fast as possible was insanely good
@@MediumSmoke it's always nice to hear when childhood games didn't age as poorly as you thought they would
Shrek Super Party has a special place in my heart. I remember playing it at 4 years old and having the time of my life. Donkeys character color was purple, and it is the reason purple is my favorite color.
Shrek Superslam is a genuinely good game and surprisingly well balanced.
Can we talk about the fact that the 3D model of Shrek used in Swamp Fun is noticeably chunkier than other 3D Shreks? Someone had to render that triple chin and beer belly combo and that very thought upsets me.
Did not expect a Shrek ranked list to get so deep @13:39
This certainly is a freakdown of a list
Oh yeah! Here we go! SHREK TIME!!! I've never played a Shrek game before. But I have seen Shrek. So I'm going to give this everything I've got!
Shrek the third on the DS actually used to bang, I remember being stuck off school with food poisoning as a kid and finishing it
That soundtrack still rings in my head from time to time... Was looking forward to you tearing it a new one but I'm glad you rate it as well as I did (for a Shrek game)
Great to see Shrek Superslam getting the love it deserves. Hella underrated game that I still play on occasions. Surprised it wasn't backwards compatible for the Xbox 360 back then.
That intro was enough for me to subscribe
We Still play the GameCube Shrek 2 on my Wii till this very day it's fun don't see how it's not #1 on the list
Ogre bowler is what I call my grandma’s new boyfriend. The sounds of them getting their freakdown together are unforgettable.
I had that Shrek Forever After v-smile game years ago. I can’t remember anything about it but I think I enjoyed it.
I also had Puss In Boots on the Wii and I beat it an hour and felt bored the whole way through
Great list! I would love to see you guys tackle every Pac-Man Game or Godzilla Game!
I would love to see those lists
When can we expect a full version of that intro song?
Shrek on the Xbox is literally higher than Shrek 2 and I cannot take this list seriously anymore because of it.
You guys can take any list and make it very enjoyable. Would honestly like to see a worst to best of triple jumps worst to best
@@jiali5957 Ben's release games series and worst games ever are definitely the rare highlights of the channel these days.
How dare you speak ill of Shrek Forever After. It’s a phenomenal film and a perfect ending to the trilogy
You guys are always so entertaining, thanks for all the laughs
I appricite that on that Shrek bingo game, Puss dosen't hold the cards himself. He uses his sword to hold it.
17:07 Yeh, this is just Elite Beat Agents gone bad- never mind, it's Looney Tunes: Duck Amuck gone bad.
Who do I have to talk to about getting a full song release of Shrek All Star at the beginning
I'll vouch for Puss in Boots for Xbox 360 Kinect. It's legitimately fun. You probably won't play through it twice, but it's definitely worth a play once.
He has a great movie and a decent show too.
17:50 Now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time, you activated hidden memories in my head. Also, great list
That intro was heavenly.
I didn't expect to have an existential crisis from a Shrek game ranking list but here we are
The intro was probably the funniest thing I've seen from this channel 😂
"Hey! stop bullying the kids who are 'different'.... and put that freakdown!"
I had Shrek 2 on GBA as a young lad and really enjoyed it, I found it stupidly tough but I found every game stupidly tough at that point. From seeing the other games here, it seems that for that to be the only Shrek game I’ve played, I had it pretty lucky.
Yeah, I remember fighting the FGM at the end the most, not sure why that's my most vivid memory of it.
There was a carnival geek on top of my van and I yelled to a circus guy nearby, "get that freak down from there!"
Loved the intro to this one LOL
Yeah no we're gonna need a full version of the song now.
Shrek 2 was actually really fun to play. I played this game so much with my brother and sister and it was hilarious when we broke the game
Why do people trash Shrek Forever After? It is a good movie and not at all garbage like Shrek 3.
Smash & Crash and Shrek 2 are childhood bliss
I remember playing Shreck 2 as kid, very fun times! ☺️
I just watched this whole thing. Time just slipped away like when I saw the three hour Titanic movie in 1997. How is this possible? I'm not even that bothered about Shrek games or boats.
how could I have lived until now without this list? omg
Shrek Superslam will clearly be number one.
Do you know how hard it is to sit down and NOT DIE!! It’s impossible!
Super party was my absolute favorite as a kid I BEGGED my parents to play with me all the time
the intro song, pure heaven
I'm amazed ya'll ranked Shrek (Xbox) over Shrek 2
This list is way more entertaining than I could have imagined
I don't know who asked for this video, but the intro alone has justified it
I'm getting the feeling that TripleJump doesn't care much for Shrek.
I once went into a video game store and yelled out all the Shrek tittles 😶
22:00 Actually, Shrek Forever After is genuinely pretty good
Shrek is in desperate need of an RPG. They can't let the whole Shrek universe go to waste
The opening song lives rent-free in my mind, even years later I can still sing it.
22:12 no. Shrek the Third was what didn’t need to exist. You’re better off skipping that film and going to Forever After
I disagree
@@davidkelly5585 how come
@@skibot9974 I actually enjoyed the third movie
@@davidkelly5585 fair enough
Idc. Magic Mirror telling me that it's "Hero Time" was the hypest moment as a kid.
0:07 Skip the Intro
That you didn't cover the other DreamWorks games alongside the Shrek ones is giving me a FREAKDOWN.
Shrek forever after on the Wii is actually a completely different game and it's actually really good 👍
I was impressed with the opening parody song. Nice work 👏
The existential crisis was a bit much for me
Shrek loves to read!
*The beginning of the first Shrek movie literally being him using book pages as toilet paper*
“our theme for prom this year will be ‘fairytale freakdown’.” does that count as a sentence..? 🤷♂️😹
1:32 "I'm heading over to my girls house on Friday to give her the freakdown."
I totally forgot about Polar Bowling... Man, that's a deep cut memory.
i would argue it’s more chaotic to not see all the fighters
when I started the video I was like "I know I definitely had a shrek game on my GBA, I just can't remember which one it was," and sure enough, it was the first, worst-ranked one, "fairy tale freakdown."
UPDATE I ALSO HAD SHREK 2 AND BEG FOR MERCY FOR THE GBA
man, seriously, Shrek Smash n' Crash Racing for PS2 is simply the best Shrek game ever made.
The existential crisis at 13:37
Super Slam has a competitive community
