I love how in the original game, Slippy is all like "This baby (the Arwing) can take temperatures up to 9000 degrees." And here he's dying from the intense heat.
@coldsnap5742It's actually kind of interesting, because our actual sun(Sol) is only a little over 9000 degrees in Fahrenheit(9930°F). Assuming Solar is similar to our sun in mass and surface temperature, we can rule out Centigrade being used since it would be only about 5500°C(Additionally, that's only about 5772K), way below the specification of the Arwing that Slippy brings up, and it supposedly wouldn't be taking damage at that temperature. Therefore, the Arwing must be able to just barely take the temperature of our Sun, but the shields are being drained in the process since it's above spec(kinda like running wires that are just a LITTLE too thin for the current running through them) which just perfectly fits into the context of the Solar mission(actually come to think of it...Solar implies it was inspired by the Sun :D)
