This is a great show! Been curious about what London and Kendrick have been up to these days, shame about the split... but that's just the way friendships go sometimes. Great to see Paul London though, and happy to see him lookin so healthy and with such a positive outlook on life!
High Spots and RF Video were well known to not only purposely film wrestlers drunk or wasted but encouraged it by supplying the guys with whatever stuff they wanted before filming. Those train wreck interviews with many wrestlers saying disgusting and outlandish claims from both companies were no accident. They wanted the interviews to be as wild as possible without caring about the addiction problems some of the guys had when they made them. Worse still, a lot of the interviews were done because that was one of the only ways guys could get paid as their booking were down due to drug abuse.
This is great! I've never seen the "real" Paul London before. If he doesn't wanna wrestle anymore...I don't blame him...but he does have such natural charisma. He should think about being a commentator for AEW...he's got the street cred for sure.
I’ll say it, Paul London was/is hands down the most criminally underrated performer of our generation. Paul London, hangs with them all, Shawn, Benoit, Eddie, AJ, Devitt, Danielson, omega, okada, rush, bandido, all of them bro.

These two were LEGIT talented. And it's a damn shame about there friendship. There work in Japan speaks volumes. I always felt they were underutilized in the WWE. the way paul puts it, brian kendrick comes off as a huge narcissist and truthfully london doesnt need someone like that around. sucks cuz all the time they spent on the road but thats life
I wish you could answer this Rene. I'm trying to be a little detailed to maybe help with the question/s. I want to say it was around 2003-2006ish I think. The match was at six flags ky kingdom here in Louisville, ovw of course. My buddy Gary and his band, whom he was the lead singer of did the intro music for most of the show. Benoit and Dinsmore where the main event. I believe it was a 6 man, I don't remember who your partners were or who the apa were tagged with, but at one point Bradshaw hit you with that clothesline so f'n hard you looked unconscious with your eyes wide open. You ever see those slow motion shockwaves? Thats what your whole body did when he hit you. You just layed there while everyone was fighting around you. Folks came from the back and helped you out of there. My questions is/are, Do you recall that match(because it was an event, a monthly show.) Was that a work to get out of the match for some previous injury angle. I think it happened early.(Which I doubt). Well shit, I guess I really don't have a question other than do you recall. I just remember feeling really bad for you. You looked like you needed a Dr.

I used to think Spanky was charmingly nuts cause he would say stuff like how he thought the sun was actually cold and "fun" conspiracy theories like that
I'm not one that thinks people deserve to be cancelled for unpopular or revisionist opinions. I've been to a concentration camp in Germany so I'm well aware the Holocaust occurred and the history books are accurate, but I don't think Kendrick should've been fired from his job at AEW for expressing a misinformed opinion. With that being said, Paul's story about Kendrick screaming BORING during a match seems like something Kendrick would do. He seems like your typical edgelord, just doing stupid and unncessary things to get attention and reveling in how "different" he is from the "normies". In other words Phil Brooks 2.0
Man was bumping his ass off in 2003 for Brock and such, i'd be amazed if he didn't get his bell rung a few times. Ouch. Hoping Kendrick finds his head. Good interview.

Are they equally embarrassed about verbally wishing that the Undertaker had burned to death in the accident where he caught fire?
Why did they wish that on Taker? Let me guess, it's because of Taker's critical remarks of modern-day wrestlers and smarks and also because of his political beliefs, is it?
@@heywoodjablome2767you sound like such a moron that interview is from like 12-13 years ago😂
Never knew how good we had it with the man different tag teams we had during that time that actually had great fueds.
Nowadays the tag division is a joke, having two scrawny Samoans beat talented tag teams that people would rather watch
Just to be totally vacuous: how attractive is Paul London?
...wut
1st match I watched that got me into wrestling was London and Kendrick vs Deuce and Domino for the tag belts. Always loved the high octane energy you two brought. It's a shame about Kendrick, I always liked him
Crushing for the kid in me to discover this podcast. Grew up loving that tag team soo much!
Is Rene cleaning his ears out ffs😆
This guys gives me Keanu reeves vibes
It's the voice, all warm and sleepy and friendly🥰
No he couldn't hang with any of those guys this is as delusional as Chris Benoit was while murdering his wife and child .
@@obiwhitekenobi3637 lol alright edge lord. Nice rebuttal. The facts you presented to counter my point, were truly astonishing
I always thought London was super entertaining, and quite frankly, really hot. Hearing him speak on things with humility and what appears to be open candor makes him even more appealing.
Rene, your podcast is one of the best unfiltered looks at behind the scenes stuff. Thank you for you sacrifices and contributions to wrestling and to this podcast!
These two were LEGIT talented. And it's a damn shame about there friendship. There work in Japan speaks volumes. I always felt they were underutilized in the WWE. They actually didn't belong there because there talent was to good for that company. Meaning you only saw 1/4 of what they were truly capable of in the ring. I hope they can "mend fences" maybe time apart will do that. It has it's way of healing folks.
the way paul puts it, brian kendrick comes off as a huge narcissist and truthfully london doesnt need someone like that around. sucks cuz all the time they spent on the road but thats life
I wish you could answer this Rene.
My questions is/are,
Do you recall that match(because it was an event, a monthly show.)
Was that a work to get out of the match for some previous injury angle. I think it happened early.(Which I doubt).
Well shit, I guess I really don't have a question other than do you recall. I just remember feeling really bad for you. You looked like you needed a Dr.
Watched three clips from this podcast and they're all good. Thanks for having Paul on. Was always one of my favorites.
Sucks about Brian. I want to believe he got his shit straight for his own good and everyone around him.
Paul London was once equal with Brian Danielson. Gone were the days.
“This is BORING!!”😂😂😂
looool
@@miraclesage8622 I specifically rewatch the video for that
@@The_Shining_wizard The funniest part to me is that Kendrick was supposed to be a babyface
Brian Kendrick is cool as hell
Wow Cafe De Rene is about to hit 4K subscribers. Congratulations boys!
Imagine that, drugs fucking up someone's mind
Man Rene Dupree is a name I havent heard in a hot minute, guess i gotta add this to the rotation of wrestling podcasts/podcast clips i listen to.
Looks like paul is doing pretty decent. Used to love London and Kendrick as a kid, since thats when I started watching wrestling.
Best tag team ever. I loved the matches in the netherlands💯
Their excellent adventure interview will always be classic... bogus journey not so much
I’m watching that London vs Richards match!
Man I swear every time I go to youtube Im hoping for more Cafe de Rene. Im a stan now
I don’t think conspiracies theories r stupid. I think that if u can’t talk about it and I’m not talking about bull shit and jus saying shit to say it either I think if u can’t talk about it or get shit about it something about it is tru example beniot killing his family I 1000% don’t believe he did it
I used to think Spanky was charmingly nuts cause he would say stuff like how he thought the sun was actually cold and "fun" conspiracy theories like that
I'm not one that thinks people deserve to be cancelled for unpopular or revisionist opinions.
Dude in the top left accidentally joined the wrong Zoom call lol
Lol I was at that show in Australia
What do you remember about the match?
Bryan K was right
